WiFi downloads are slow in win 7 pro 64-bit, IT SHOULD BE parameters win7pro or driver!

Sometimes, something is reset and bandwidth goes to 13-14 Mbps
Then it starts to shrink until it gets at least 1 Mbit/s.
Then I remove the wireless adapter (but no driver Sherif) is restarted and the Device Manager.
Then I'm back to 3-4 Mbps.
I tried the command netsh int tcp to disable the heuristics, autotuning and forcing ctcp.
Any hotspot.
I tried TCPOptimizer.
The system is a Dell N5110 with a N-1030 of Intel centrino wireless adapter.
Some parameter is being edited and I have yet to understand that!
So far, I'm absolutely sure that's not the material, not the hotspot, no Newsbin v5.5, which is squeezing my bandwidth.
It must simply be win7 or the driver for the wireless card.
And no, I don't have a system recovery point, where it is ok. If I did, I would have already thought the problem!

Solved: Windows 7 64 bit slow loading pages, independent of web browser

I had a similar problem on a wired connection:

(1) after cheking my NETWORK adapter, router, modem etc. determined without fault. I tried IE, FF, G Chrome; is not bad! and very slow loading on the pages concerned, (looking at network traffic in the Manager of tasks - Network tab). These pages load eventually after a long time (sometimes minutes). It comes to despite the fact that the download/download speeds to the ISP have been systematically tested to conform to the limits accptable. 17 mbit/s down / 0.5 upwards.

(2) many discussions about google suggested search complexes and diagnostics operations that seem to make no difference, including reloading the operating system. Too complicated for me.

Finally, what worked for me: (before go you crazy on a rampage dissassemly/reload the operating system)

Back to basics: suspect some components installed in the OS for the background.

(1) OS to boot in safe mode, by using msconfig.exe, with networking on. Go the problem! Pages loaded now Nitro speed! But no other functionality.

(2) to get a working computer back, you make a selective startup in msconfig.exe. Select the services tab and disable all services. (Safe mode is them uncheck everything, except for those essential + security). The trick is to turn of proggressivly that these services turn it on in small groups, reboot, test your web page, speed of loading each time, until you find the offending service.

The service that caused the problem on my machine was windows management instrumentation.

I have not checked for the moment and it does not affect functionality so far. I'll look again in the resolution of the problem with this (WMI) service, but I'm back to speed.

For now, I'm running a selective startup upwards with only this (WMI) service is disabled. W7 remembers this start automatically the next time you turn on your machine.

I hope that this information will be used as a possible action plan for others unhappy with their Web page, loading time.

  • I use win xp pro 32 bit and want to update for win 7 pro, how can I do? I have

Hi I bought a new PC and need to upgrade all these years I was with win XP pro 32 bit, I need to switch to Win 7 pro. 64 bit...
what I have to buy a new copy of license or just pay the amount of the upgrade to the new version of windows? If so how do I do that?

You will need to purchase a new license, unfortunately, you can't buy just the product key, you'll need to buy the package, given that Microsoft is no longer selling just the key.

    Full version-

    Version upgrade-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Professional upgrade

    The upgrade to Windows XP?

Please read these instructions carefully and completely before you begin installing Windows 7: there are important steps that you must follow to upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 in order to preserve your files and settings.

Before you begin, you'll need to backup all your data to an external storage device, and you will need all the installation discs for the programs that you want to keep. Please make sure that you have an external hard drive (see details below).

More detailed instructions are available at windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-xp. Here are the basic steps.

    1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor (windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor) to see if there are known issues that may affect the installation and the question of whether you should install the version of 32 or 64 bit Windows 7.

2 back up your files and settings on an external hard drive using Windows Easy Transfer (windows.microsoft.com/windows-easy-transfer). If you do not have an external hard drive, you will not be able to use Windows Easy Transfer. Alternatively, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick, CD or DVD.

    3. you will need to manually reinstall your programs, such as Microsoft Office, after I installed Windows 7. Gather the installation for your programs and all partner/license product key discs. You may be able to download programs from the Internet. For example, Windows Live Messenger can be installed from the download.live.com/messenger.

    4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)."

    5. when Windows 7 is installed, use Windows Easy Transfer to restore your files and settings.

If you are not comfortable Windows 7 installation, check with a local retail or the services of the PC company store to see if they offer upgrade services.

You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

I propose to you leave as is and put to upgrade to 8.1 Windows put in day 1 which significantly improves the user experience for mouse and keyboard users, more:

  • Win 7 Pro 32 bit time material plug unplug sound several times with no connection to install new

Win 7 Pro 32-bit o/s, 3.06 ghz processor, 4 GB of RAM and nothing plugged in, clean and fresh install. There is a game repeated (constantly) connection / disconnected material 'sound' that repeats itself about every 6 seconds. There is nothing connected to the USB ports or something and that a single HD is connected and powered. There is no related tasks on demand for this activity, no programs are installed and no customization of what either just a new installation. I moved the HD to another PC and saw the same event. An another clean install of the o/s was the same. With or without additional programming, the problem is obvious.

I've eliminated all services by toggle, but the sound continues its repetition. Event and error logs do not display anything.

Please, comments or any souutions will be appreciated as soon as possible... Microsoft had no entry.

All I can do to stop the sound to repeat is to turn off the sounds is select 'no sound' in the sound options.

    Hi KJ6I,

You can check in Device Manager if there are unknown devices that are not getting detected.

To open the device manager follow the link below.

    Open the Device Manager

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Device-Manager

In addition, scan for any change of hardware in Device Manager

Open Device Manager, click Action, and then click on Search the hardware changes. Follow the instructions

Now, restart the computer and check what is happening.

Also see the wire that connects the hard drive to the computer, because this could be the reason for the sound.

You also try to run a check disk to disk and let it repair.

    1. Click Start, type cmd in the start search box, right-click cmd.exe in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    2. at a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    CHKDSK X: /R

Note: In this command, x is a placeholder that represents the drive letter of the volume you want to check.

    3. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.

    4. close all applications and restart the computer.

Note: When you restart, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then Windows starts.

    5. after the computer restarts, repeat steps 1 through 4 for the other volume and try the backup operation again.

  • Where can I find the Windows Media Player for WIN 7 Pro 32 Bit?

My windows media player will not open. I upgraded from Windows 7 starter to windows 7 Professional recently. I have windows 7 32-bit professional. I tried to use the 64-bit (this is all that is available on the windows site, but my computer says this is not the right program and will not install it.) Where can I find the WMP for WIN 7 Pro 32 Bit?

Unless you have an "N" of Windows 7 edition, you must have Windows Media Player. If you have an "N" edition, please visit:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/is-is/Windows7/products/what-is-Windows-7-N-Edition

For more details and a download link.

The case, first try to find the executable file for Windows Media Player and create a new shortcut from that.

    1. open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).

    2. navigate to:

    C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player

    3. find the file named wmplayer.exe and then right-click on it and create a shortcut on the desktop.

    4. test the shortcut.

If the above does not work, try:

    1. click on Start (lower-left) and then on Control Panel.

    2. click on programs and features.

    3. on the left side of the screen, click on 'Windows turn features on or off".

    4. look for the entry called multimedia features, expand it, and then *check the box next to Windows Media Player.

    5. click on OK.

    6. restart the PC.

    * If the Windows Media Player box is already checked, uncheck the box , click OK, restart your PC, then do steps 1-6 above.

I want to install a new internal hard drive of my computer, my old internal drive is running Win XP Pro 64 bit OS, the new drive will be Win 7 Pro.

Is there a method much less time to transfer programs from the old drive to the new?

I have both drives in the same machine to do the transfer. If you have a set of instructions please post them to send me the instructions.

    Thanks in advance

Sorry, but you can't do that.  When you move from one computer to another, you must reinstall all the programs.  This is because the parts of the program go to different places, and there are updates the registry involved as well.  There are also some activation to worry.  The last time, you can copy programs from one computer to another in the BACK long days long ago.

    Good luck.
