WiFi for Deskjet 2540 for Mac

I have a Mac and I used the 2540 for a while now and recently updated my wireless router, everything worked so far here. I read through and follow the instructions on the Web site but still cannot get the connection wireless connected to the printer and can't find my power cord. I'm not sure what I missed step or if it's something else. Any suggestions?

Hello

If you have changed the router, you will need to connect your printer and your mac using the new wifi password.

try to open the printer & scan tab in the preferences and clicking on your printer. You should be able to find some options in the ustility of the printer to allow you to set up your wireless connection.

If you have any problems, please remove the printer using the sign less and re-add the sign more and follow the steps when you are prompted to connect wireless.

  • HP Deskjet 2540: Scanning with Hello multifunction

I'm trying to set up my second HP Deskjet 2540 on Mac OS X 10.10. I can see the printer in the Add Printer dialog box and it works as a printer when adding, but it only offers the possibility to add it as a 'Hello' instead of the meaning of "Hello multifunction" OS X does not provide the functionality of the device scan. My other office seemed to offer it and therefore the ability to analyze using the construction in Mac OS X tools rather than install the suite complete driver HP.

How can I get this also disabled option Hello multifunction printer?

When it is installed with just 'Hello', showing that 'gender' scanning option is not present in the printer dialog box.

The key for me was installing HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers after the package has been installed the all-in-one Hello was displayed when you try to install the printer and "Scan" option now displays in the section 'Printers and Scanners' for my DJ 2540.

  • Do you need to be on the same account of WiFi for phone and Mac that allows you to delete photos?

When my Macbook Pro is on the WiFi and my iPhone 6 s + is on cell phone, I noticed that if I delete the photos within the program of Photos on my Mac they do not get deleted from my iPhone. However, a few hours later when I get home and check my phone, and I'm on Wifi for both devices, the photos have disappeared. Do you need to be on the same account of WiFi for phone and Mac that allows you to delete photos?

    Thank you.

Devices can be on different wifi networks.

Your question is that the phone will not be synchronized using cellular data and will wait until it connects to a wifi network, but this can be any wifi network.

  • I can't connect to my WiFi using windows xp sp3 on bootcamp for Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I can't connect to my WiFi using windows xp SP3 on bootcamp for Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8

On the side of my computer's mac, the internet works fine.
I just want the computer to recognize my home network, but it's as if we want a modem connection.
Ask what you need to know the specs.
I do this to play Halo on my Mac.

This is the problem (which I corrected).  It's simple, all you have to do is to switch to XP, insert your mac installation disc and follow installation bootcamp, with all the drivers for mac compatibility.  The wireless just popped up as active.

I lost my, but this isn't a problem: just go to the apple Web site, use the express track, diagnose your problem and have a representative call you.  They answer in a few seconds.  Replacement CD is very cheap ($16-2011).  You can get the CD of requests for replacement, which is another $ 16, but it is not important; XP does not use it, only the operating system for the drivers.  Mine came very quickly, in just 2 days.

Hope that answers questions from the Internet.

Now to play online Halo with my FPS Pro controller! 8 D

  • Download OCR software for my Deskjet J4540 all-in-one for Mac 10.10.1?

Is it possible to use the OCR software with an all-in-one Hp Deskjet J4540 & running Mac OS 10.10.1?

If so, if it can be obtained & how can it be executed correctly?

    Hello

Full features software is not available for the printer to Yosemite, which means capacity analysis technologies are available to Capture picture, Preview, etc., and OCR ois not included in the supplied software.

For the OCR capabilities, you will need a 3rd party software, there are several professional provucts such as OmnIPage or Read IRIS... There are basic and more afforable such as VueScan solutions that provide OCR capabilities.

Also a google search can provide you with even more options for such.

    Kind regards

  • Driver printer Deskjet 1512 for Mac OS 10.5.8

DeskJet usable with Mac OS 10.5.8 1512?

    Hi Nicotek,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your Deskjet 1512. 1512 Deskjet will not work with 10.5 and below, it is only compatible with 10.6 and above. With your Mac, the software cannot be installed. Sometimes, if you plug a USB for Mac it will print. The only other options would be to consider another model that is compatible with 10.5 obtaining or upgrading the operating system so that Mac can allow an upgrade to 10.6.

    I'm sorry to inform you.

  • DeskJet 2540: cannot convert mac wireless usb printer

    Hello

I'm having a problem setting my printer all-in-one Deskjet 2540 on my macbook (osx El Capitan). After basic implementation through usb connection, I was able to connect my printer to my router, which makes possible wireless printing. I was then able to print wireless from my phone using remote control all-in-one app.

However, I now want my macbook to establish a wireless connection to the printer instead of the usb connection that is used for configuration. I can't find the option to convert a usb printer to a printer that is connected to the wifi. When disconnecting from usb, laptop computer notes the connection with the printer is lost. To install my printer, I use the HP Utility software, in which I can't find such an option. Also, when passing through Apple-> system-> printers and scanners preferences I can't find an option "convert to wireless. I also read a method via Finder-> applications-> HP and then an icon for installing the software & should be there? In my case, there is only the HP Utility icon which directs me to the same program in which I could not find the option.

What I was looking for, and where can I find it?

Might be a little exaggerated description, but I hope that this makes it extremely clear...

  • HP Deskjet 2540 all-in-one: printer stopped connecting to the wifi network

Hi, my printer has suddenly stopped detecting my wireless network. When I turn on the printer, wireless blue light continues to blink and there is an exclamation point on the screen of the printer. I still have the same wifi network as before and have not changed it or its parameters. I have not physically moved the printer and the wireless works fine for all computers, iPads, and phones.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the HP Utility Set Up software but it couldn't detect the printer to set up.  I also tried running the diagnostic results, but all the results, said 'Not work', 'Not applicable' or 'None'. I can't even an IP address for my printer.

My laptop can detect the printer if I turn on the wireless Direct button and I connect to this network on my laptop, but that's all. I'd rather connect the printer to the wifi so I can print from all my devices (phone, iPad etc.). The printer is less than 6 months and I do not understand what is the problem with him. Can you please specify?

    Hey @Sue1990,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that the all-in-one printer Deskjet 2540 does not connect to your wireless network. I can help you with that.

To connect the printer to your network again you will need to run the USB cable from the printer to your computer Mac OS x 10.7. This makes the open Applications, Hewlett-Packard and inside this folder you will find a program with a similar name to the installation wizard. If you run this program, then you will find options to connect your printer to your wireless network.

Please let me know how it works for you and let me know if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful evening!

Hello @Mike90, thanks for the reply!

    First of all, here are some Windows 10 resources for you to review;

    Mike90 wrote:

Don't think it's my AntiVirus because I run the same on my old desk.

Security software installed on your computer is designed to protect your computer against threats, but sometimes can block communication between devices and can cause problems when using your printer or install the software.

A quick troubleshooting technique is to disable your firewall/antivirus and see if the problem goes away. Remember to re-enable your security later.

You can see the category 'firewall and software provider specific security information' of this site; Security and firewall information if you would like more information on your security software.

When you have downloaded the software fact all-in-one HP Deskjet 2540 Printer series full feature software and drivers - download version 10 of Windows?

    I would try this;

    1. Unplug your USB cable.
    2. Click on the Start Menu, find and open devices and printers.
    3. Right-click on any printer that refers to this model, then click on remove device (so delete all HP Deskjet 2540 s in here)
    4. Then repeat installation, unplugged the USB cable and see if the installation detects the printer already on your network.

Please let me know if any of these steps has resolved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

    Thank you

  • El Capitan does support MS Office for Mac 2008?

I have MS Office for Mac 2008 installed on my MBP that is running Mountain Lion.  I am considering upgrading to El Capitan, but wonder if MS Office 2008 is always executed with this upgrade.  I'm reluctant to upgrade to the current version because of the expense of MS Office, and also my wife prefers to stay with the version she knows well.

I suspect that I should ask this question on a site of MS, but starts here in the hope that someone will have a quick answer before I allow myself to Ms.

  • Updated to Yosemite and no wifi for others

Updated Mountian Lion (Mac Mini) and immediately no one in the House had wifi!  I turned off the wifi and bluetooth on the mac and plugged in an ethernet cable (and did a hard reset on the WRT54G v5). Again - as soon as we put the mac wifi connectivity returns to sleep, when he wakes up the router broadcasts the SSID but will not connect. Our 2 PC ethernet does not seem to be affected anyway. Ideas?

What security mode are you using? Privilege 'egi' is WPA-Personal. WPA2 only.

Temporarily disable the WPA and test to see if all the connections are possible. Delete WiFi profiles used previously in OSX or on the devcies and re-run the analysis for the SSID you have and you try to connect again.

Your router may be incompatible with OSX version since these wireless drivers are updated with the date and the LInksys probably has not being updated for a while and don't won't. You may need a new router at some point.
