Will be my HP Pavillion guaranteed zero?

Hello

I have a HP Pavilion m9788d desktop PC. I would like to know if I want to add RAM, my warranty HP will be zero? I ask this question is because there is a sticker behind my computer HP warranty, and if I open the case of the thumbnail will be broken and that the warranty? I also heard that there are two types of RAM slots. One is for us (as a customer) to add RAM and another is for the permitted use of HP Techniciansto. For example, there is a guarantee attached covering the RAM Slot and not to allow the technicians HP can open and use it to do not to void the warranty. May I know is this true and how on my previous question? Thank you.

Guarantee provisions are different with different countries.  You have an extended warranty that is longer than 1 year?

Here are the specifications of the motherboardfor the m9788d.  The blue slots are populated first then the black slots.  Review the photo black and white layout.

If you want to add more memory and then use all slots with DIMMs even density. Your PC was built with 4 GB, but I do not know how slot machines have been populated with the density of the chip.  Download and use PC Wizard to determine the specifications and types of memory DIMMs.

I have the same motherboard in my e9280t 9GB. (221 x 2) is how my DIMM slots are filled.

    Hi all

    I have a Satellite L70-A-139 youcef.
And at the back of the laptop, there is a cover that is fixed with a screw.

No, the mandate must still be valid.
There is a removable cover at the bottom of the unit as shown here:

  • Recovery disks will still work if I wipe the HARD drive?

Hey everybody! I have a quick question and I hope one of you can tell me if I'm about to make a huge mistake.

My HP Pavillion Dv6 had serious problems and chkdsk deleted a lot of clues. I worked on the problem of HARD drive and looks is not default (no bad sectors, only of weakness). I read that zero-filling can help with HARD drive problems.

My only question is that I don't know if I'll be able to just reinstall after I have zeros, because the building programs will be wiped. I have an application and Driver Recovery CD and a DVD of system recovery that I have used before. These will still work if I have zero filling? Or I need something else?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Sadie

    Hi Sadie,

Yes, your recovery disks will work if set you to zero the whole HARD drive (they would also work on a new HARD drive if you need to replace the existing one).

When reloading the operating system, you choose the "Factory Reset" option will reinstall the OS and recreate all the original scores.

    Kind regards

  • Pavillion 500-326na: Office purchased without warranty has already expired

    Hi all

I bought your desktop HP Pavilion 500-326na six months ago and recently received a notice telling me that the warranty on my pc had expired the year before I bought it. When I bought the pc, it was said that the product carries a one year manufacturer warranty. What are the options that are available to me?

    Kind regards.

    Hello:

Contact HP for the country where you live.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/WW-contact-us.html

The customer service representative should send you an email with a link to download a copy of your receipt of sale/invoice showing the date of purchase of your PC and they will adjust the period of guarantee accordingly.

I had to do the same in February when I bought my new HP laptop.  The guarantee applies for one year, but it showed that expires this month instead of next February.

I think it took them a few days to make corrections.

  • How to get Outlook Express to stop and you will invite to compact your emails when closing.

My wife and I use Outlook Express on our machines at home for e-mail (OE is his primary e-mail program, I use it for a secondary e-mail address).

When we are done with the program and you want to close, we are always invited to compact mail folders.  I prefer not to do it while I had problems with files compacted in the past.

Is it possible to change a setting in Outlook Express to stop inciting us to compact the folders of our mail?  I looked through the tools and other areas in Outlook and still found nothing.   Help, please.  Thank you!

    Drew

You can't turn it off, and failure to compact surely will scan your message store sooner or later.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
    http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact

    About file Corruption:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/IE/community/columns/filecorruption.mspx

Compacting your folders periodically is a must to keep OE works fine and at some point, you may lose all your saved messages if you do not. When you delete or move messages, the space they used remains until you compact.

Never touch anything until the compression is finished.* *.

    See:
    www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2

With SP2, Automatic compaction in the background has been removed because of problems he has caused. Now, you will get a prompt to compact after 100 closures of OE, you need to do, and do not touch anything until it's finished. If you compact manually, at your convenience, this will also set the counter to zero. See this for more information:
    http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm#compact

If you are fully patched, you will now see a copy of your dbx files copied to the Recycle Bin as BAK files. If something goes wrong when compacting, the messages can be easily restored from this backup. A compact manual resets also the counter in the back of the registry to zero now.

For more information, see the information framed in red here:
    www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2

To keep things running smooth and harden faster:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. It will eventually become corrupt and you may lose mail. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

    And backup often.

  • Pavilion DV6-2155DX: processor i5 - 580 M of Pavillion DV6 - 2155DX support?

I would like to confirm if it is possible to upgrade the processor in DV6-2155dx to a core i5 - 580 M from the i3 - 330 M stock.  I read a post that claimed that the i5 - 580 M (with the I7 - 620 M & I7-640 M) was consistent, but the latest version of BIOS (copied below) notes indicate support was added "for the Intel I3 - 350, I5-520, I5-540, I7-620 K - O Stepping processors.  From what I can understand other references online, the i5 - 580 M is a K-0 Stepping processor, but does not appear explicitly as being supported by the BIOS updated.

Could someone confirm if the DV6-2155DX with the latest BIOS could support the upgrade of the i5 - 580 M processor?

    Thank you!

    ------------------------------------------------

    Communicate details

UMA = integrated so that you have UMA.

There is no source information on upgrades processor as the maintenance manual. HP does not support or encourage the laptop processor upgrades after the point of sale for reasons that should be obvious. They would sell you rather a new laptop and there is no increase for HP in your opening of the casing of the laptop.

An image of your motherboard, I can see that the processor is not welded on. Logically, there is no reason that a CPU that runs on a version of the same motherboard with the dedicated video would work also on them with onboard video. It is not always logical, however. I also see that your motherboard is not in the manual I posted. I made some of these updates and some like to think that I got a seat of the pants for her feeling and I'm going to go out on a limb and say the i5 - 580 M will probably work. No guarantees, but I'm confident about 80 percent.

Indeed if you put your motherboard part in Partsurfer number, it lists all of the models in that it has been used and I see that it can actually accept an i7-720QM and I found one where he was running an i5 - 430 M.

    Models using your motherboard

I was not going through each and every one, but if I could find one with the i5 - 580 M my confidence would go up to 100%.

  • Help: Field accepting does not leading and ending zeros

OK I am struggling with this script for a while, and whenever I think its fixed I find a new problem, sorry I keep bothering you with this guy! I hope that this

will be the last problem however! I am trying to validate a field when submit button that checks to ensure that this field has the correct format, which is "XXXX. XX. " So far the best term for this was /^\d\d\d\d\.\d\d$/

({I also tried / ^ \d{0,4}(\.\d{0,2})? $/ but that they gave me a lot of problems, the main being that it only accepts this field to have 4444.22, another thing, for example, 1234.56, generates an error.

So now when I use /^\d\d\d\d\.\d\d$/ everything works fine as long as the field do not begin or end in zeros. So either 0123.45 or 1234.50 generates an error, but the 1002.34 supports very well. I need something to add in the script, either a different expression, or something that will allow the head or ending zeros. I do not want to add zeros though, if the user enters 1234.5 I need to generate the error message, I don't no need to change for 1234.50.

Thank you in advance for your help!

OK, my initial thought was that you were using the regular expression in a script field, but it is used on an earned value field.  So I did some tests and Acrobat automatically converts the value to a number.  A little unexpected, but there is an easy solution.  Change your code like this:

    var re = / ^ \d{4}\.\d{2}$/;

    var num = getField("text1").valueAsString;

    bOK = re.test (num);

A lot of pain for a little fix, business a habit for software development ;)

  • Hide or remove the zeroes in the field of Calulated

I have added fields to a proposal for a Bill-style.  This is my first time ever adding fields of a pdf document.  It looks very simple and my fields work perfectly.  HOWEVER, when I want the quantity fields and prices to calculate in a total field... the total field displays zeros.

How can I make the zeros disappear?  I'd like this field empty until a calculation is performed.

I searched through every single forum on here on my exact topic.  A person will be said 'use this script' and someone else said "use this script" I tried all the scripts I found and yet I could not the zeros to disappear despite my conclusions.

Can someone please explain this to me as a 3rd grader... I don't understand very well of script and it's very difficult for me.  What is the exact script to use that removes / mask zeros when the calculation is null?  Where exactly should I put the script?  Maybe I'm adding to the wrong section?

It seems that Adobe adds an editing field checkbox that will allow you to remove the zeros... it would save a lot of trouble.

    Hello!

If I understand your question, this is the script that I use and it works perfectly:

    var f = this.getField ("Field53");
    f.Hidden (event.value =<>

Click the field where you want the blank zeros, which will bring up the properties of the text field.

    Click the validation tab.

Click on the Script to execute a custom Validation

    Click on change

Enter the script I showed above, exactly as it is, even copy and paste it if you wish.

Replace Field53 with the name of the field where you want the blank zeros.

    Click OK, then click close

    Save your work

If there is a zero in the box, you want the zeros to be empty, delete the.

    Save your work again

This should go on keep your empty zeros...

I hope it works for you!

Now to get help for my problem...

    Have a great day!

  • How to know before buying so upgrading RAM is self-serviceable on HP ProBook 4330 s LW824EA

    Hello

I would buy a ProBook s 4330 in Hungary. However I can't find any information on the exact warranty terms. I want to know before you buy wheter the upgrade of RAM at home empty the product warranty or not.

I asked the dealer too, but they couldn't help: they told me that it depends on the sticker of guaranteed zero (of course...) but they do not know whether it is on or not. The HP documentation did not help or the other, the service guide said that it may or may not be a guaranteed zero protection sticker.

Thanks for any help and best regards,

    Hello:

Installation of memory do not void the warranty unless you damage the PC all by (break the memory slot, breaking a plastic cover, etc.).

The memory that you install is not covered by the HP warranty, but the rest of the laptop will be.

A general rule is that anything with a Philips head screw customer is accessible and does not void the warranty.

Anything with a screw Torx is not supposed to be consulted by the client and may void the warranty.
