  ESD stands for electronic Software Distribution. Acrobat XI provided compact disc of thought which included installation CD, on the other hand it was also provided by ESD, which included the direct download for Acrobat link XI products download Adobe Acrobat | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X.

  There is no difference in the application, the difference, it's just that how it is provided to the customer.

• After the installation of Win 8.1, Acrobat 9 Pro suddenly does not work

  I have CS4 Web Premium and Acrobat Pro v. 9.5.5.  I bought a new computer to window 8.0 90 days ago, installed subsequently, active and everything is fine. Yesterday, I upgraded to 8.1 Win. Now, when I opened Acrobat Pro, I get a message saying that it has been installed as part of a suite and open another program in the first sequel. When I click OK, Acrobat is closed. I tried to open almost all other programs in the suite (bridge, Flash, Photoshop 64-bit), they run OK, but Acrobat will not always work, and there is no activation message.  I checked my Adobe account, and my version of Acrobat 9 Pro is still listed, with serial number.

  I am very disappointed, because I use Acrobat Pro a bit, and currently it will not open at all. Other that call Adobe to help (no free support # listed), with the help of discussion online (no link available), or by e-mail with them (no address listed)... What can I do to "activate"?

  I tried open Acrobat Distiller and get the same message, but when I close it, I see a brief flash of what seems to be an entry with the substance of the activation box.  It only appears for the second half, so I can't do anything with it.

  The process of installation and activation for Acrobat as part of the CS is different from that of a stand-alone Acrobat. First of all, the issue of opening another application in CS is common (not sure if she should remain open when you start Acrobat. You should be able to get more information about the CS forum.   I have an Equium A60-692, I want to dual boot it with the existing Win XP and Win 98 (pref) or Winme. I succumbed to the Win 98 or Win Me loading on the hard drive. Even during startup with a completely blank disc. (formatted). The installation fails at some point when I think it's either looking at PNP or pieces PCMCIA devices. Someone at - it win 98 on a laptop toshiba modern. What I missed. Someone help please!

  Windows update no longer works if you don't have XP SP3 installed. To check your level of service pack system, click on start, run and type "Winver" in the Run dialog box and click on 'OK'.

• Switch from Win XP and OE Express to Windows live mail, then in Win7 running Outlook 2010 - how?

  This is NOT an easy process.

  (A) can I download Windows Live mail on my Win XP machine to migrate my e-mal address book and messages?

  (B) then, after I get stuff all the Windows Live stuff I'm supposed to be able to download stuff on Win 7 and Outlook.

  Copy all the files from Outlook Express dbx on the XP machine in the Win 7 machine.  Also, to find the wab (address book) file and copy that.  Then in Outlook try Alt | File | Options | Advanced | Export and click on the button "export".  Then gives you options to import messages or address book and OE to choose it.  I have not tried and it might not work, but this would be the simplest method and you wouldn't have to go through living things.

  See instructions for import here: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for Windows Mail in Vista.  Most of the provisions continue to apply, but in Outlook Import Wizard may not have the quirkiness of the Vista one.  Dbx files cannot be readonly however and the folders.dbx file must be present.  And copy the dbx files to a folder on the desktop on the Win7 machine so you won't not permissions with importation problems.
