    Hi all

I recently bought a HP Envy 5532 all-in-one, which is located to the sides of

my HP Compaq 6000 running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

I tried a few HP diagnostic programs, which recognize,

but do not solve the problem and suggest uninstall and start again.

I also installed the latest driver download, rather than the installation disc.

I also tried the Fixit Windows for the USB, nothing helps.

My problem is, no matter how to install software/drivers to support this

Once installed, I print a test page for 'printer properties', I can see the coil of the page

There seems to be a link broken between the printer and USB001 which is the virtual USB port

Everyone knows and if so, please share how you solved.

After doing a bit more research, it is certainly a problem of Windows security permissions.

I have a workaround by following this link and can now print. :-), but do not know the security implications.

  • Installing the printer on Win 7 64 bit and D-Link DPR-1260 print server

I have been using a print server D-Link DPR-1260 to my home network for more than 1 year. The computers were all run XP XP3 32bits. When I upgraded to WIn 7 64 bit, I have problem printer installation. Both printers are Samsung scx-4521 laser MFPS and laser color CLP-315. The drivers are already installed on my computer and I was able to print if they were directly connected via USB. I also could see DPR-1260 and the printer. But installation stopped, because it was not able to find the proper drivers. It's strange because I was able to print via USB. Help please. I have not upgraded other computers even though I only install the 32-bit version instead of 64-bit for others.

I tried this fix as well, however it allows me to select the folder in which I think that the pilot is located inside.  Basically, it can not find the 64-bit driver... alternatives?

to connect to the d-link printserver 1260, you have to treat it as a network with a device server. Here's what you will need the name of the print qeue and ip address. and a COMPATIBLE printer, who is in the list of d-link1260 that they have a better list on their Web site... www.Dlink.com
' 1. goto devices and printers "in the start menu
    2. at the top click on "Add a printer" If you can't find it in the list of devices below.
    3. then choose "add a network printer".
    4. next hen click on 'stop' click 'the printer that I want isn't listed.
    5. Select 'Add a printer using a tcp/ip address or hostname' click 'next '.
    6. Select the type of device and enter the ip address be 192.168.0.xxx, a window will open and ask more
port information, click on "custom" at the bottom.
7 when the sub menu opens choose "LPR" and then enter the name of the print queue of the printer I also checked "bytes active cash LPR" click 'next' you should not do this. that is my name of the queue was ml-2010. You can get this in the dlink1260 configuration page.
    8. the next page will ask you to printer driver. If the list is not current, then 'windows update' first try the updated list for the models more that it will take a few minutes will be patient.  or you can try the driver for the model that you ever I recommend download the latest drivers from your manufacturer... Select make the printer on the left and the right MODEL. then click Next
you're done if you can print a test page.

his best guys to assign a static IP for dpr print server 1260 and lock it in the configuration. also book this IP in your router configuration. for 64-bit systems a lot of pilots was not yet available from this list you can get them now. I suggest using BASIC pilot not those in a package with all demonstration... are HP most likely to be used in the configuration of this installation as I said in the beginning make sure you have a printer supported by the list of compatible printers found here dlink.com veryfying...

    http://www.Dlink.com/products/default.aspx?pid=DPR-1260&tab=3

Goto the 'FAQ' section and see the list of printers. and more details on the installation manually this configuration and settings for most editions of windows.

  • Satellite R630 - problems of Driver on Win 7 64 bit after SP1 update

That need your help here guys.

My R - 630 Satellite is less than a year, under a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit. For awhile, I've known BSOD, which I traced him through the observer of events here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd337789 (WS.10) .aspx

This has not led me far enough.
Finally, I have found through other forums that the SP1 update would solve some of the annoying problems BSOD and I started the download and upgrade. However, when the computer reboots, while my laptop seems to have been healed (so far) of the BSOD, I have problems with drivers for:

    -Sound card
    -USB controllers
    -DVD player
    -Webcam
    -Bus enumerators

I downloaded the indicated Win 7-64 bit drivers in each case. I tried to install the first. Nothing happened. I uninstalled the existing and installed new drivers. Nothing happened again.

I thought I should do things in the right order.
    So I tried to install
    (1) the Chip Set Utility (drivers?) first, then
    (2) the USB drivers
    (3) sound card drivers etc.

    Nothing happens not always.

I'm running out of ideas here.

PS while other drivers run very well when I extracted the .zip format, the sound card driver, refused to run, even if the box "run command" has been checked when executing the .msi file.
I've pulled into a folder and ran it manually.

    Still did not help.

    Hello

What happens if you set the Windows operating system to the point before the SP1 has been installed?
    That you get the BSOD?

    I would recommend this doing.
Use the Windows option that allows you to activate the operating system at the point of time at the beginning.
Then, test the functionality of the OS.

If everything works correctly, update the Win 7 64 bit with SP1.
You must use the automatic update of Windows 7.

  • Recovery problem Satellite L505-110 Win 7 64 bit

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba L505-110, Windows 7 64 bit Turkish and he began to slow down recently, so I want to recover windows 7, but in some Turkish forums, guys who have tried recover like that, facing a problem.

The problem is that Windows 7 has been set up on the computer as a 32-bit.
I had not given a dvd of the operating system of W? ndows 7 64-bit and he said that we could easily do our own recovery DVDs using toshiba recovery media creator.

I made 2 recovery DVDs, but now I'm afraid that I have Windows 7 32 bit if I recover Windows.
I bought this computer because it had windows 64-bit and I paid the price if I want to continue with it again...
It has been a year since I bought my PC.

What should I do to recover my operating system such as Windows 7 64-bit again?

Thank you very much for your answers.

    Hello

The operating system was preinstalled is WIN7 64-BIT HOME PREMIUM & you also got the 32-BIT DVD
Therefore, if you create the recovery disc, then the disc should contains Win 7 64 bit.

I think you should just grab the laptop using the recovery disk created and I think that the 64 bit, Win 7 must be installed.

    Hey

    I use a dm4 3010 tx - win 7 64 bit SP1 portable computer.

I can't burn files to DVD, I can play DVDs fine. I tried with 2 software:

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

Have you tried a few different brands of media? Sometimes the burner just don't like some discs. If so, the only thing I can think of to try is to boot from a Linux Live USB and see if it can burn DVDs from a Linux program as k3b for burning. That solve a software problem (Windows).

  • Win 7 64 bit... HP Pavilion dv-7... Creating recovery discs... Years later... Problem of recovery?

Discovered that I never did the recovery disks when I bought the HP Pavilion dv7-4073nr Notebook running Win 7 64 bit.

Now, because Windows Updater does not work, some programs do not work.  (Have no idea, when he started).

QUESTION... -What makes the recovery discs now, cause recovery issues when I do an "upgrade on the spot", as recommended by a cat of Microsoft tech?

There is no virus, the tech ran remote diagnostics and confirmed what I already knew... Windows Updater is corrupted and are not accessible.  Bought a 3 TB external drive and have spent - hours and hours - backup with Win 7 Backup & Recovery tool and the Seagate dashboard. (Redundant).  I can NOT apparently make an Image of the 'system' (failed to backup MS 5 times... So I created a backup successful without it.  Then tried to just an image of the system and says there are files corrupt on C drive.  Has managed to create a system repair disc.  Since then, I try to understand what I'm going along, Kind ' needs to know about the recovery discs, I do now works, or if I'm just recreate the same problems?

    Thank you

  • Problem installing WIN 7 64 bit on a Vostro V131 with SSD

    Hello everyone,

I just got my new Vostro V 131 with i5 2430 M, 4 GB RAM, HD3000 graphics and standard 500 GB HARD drive!

I already had a new OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB SSD and wanted to change it against the bed on the HARD drive.

I put a boot Win 7 64 bit with SP1 on a USB key and started the system. I am able to choose my language setting and then click the button "Start installation". And this is the mess: Setup starts, then then tells me I need to install other drivers. I can't choose anything else but a reader where these drivers. So I downloaded the SATA (AHCI) support drivers for my controller from DELL. They are recodnized by the system as drivers and checked, but I just go back to the window that says Add. the drivers are needed. The SSD is recognized in BIOS and SATA set to AHCI. I was able to format and part with the victory included tools/recovery Partition.

OK, I checked for allmost everything, which could cause such problems. SSD firmeware is updated, set BIOS to update (as mentioned, SSDS is shown correctly). I put the SSD drive on an external HARD drive enclosure, and it has been shown in Windows as a normal USB storage device.

Everything I checked was correct, the SSD is identified and shown correct instead of the Win7 installation menu.

I am at the end of my ideas and hope that one of you can help out me!

    Thank you so far...

    Flo

I discovered what caused all this trouble ;-)

It was the USB port used! I don't know why, but the USB 3 port starts the installation and then want additional drivers! I swapped the USB 2 port and everything worked fine. ;-)

But thanks for the answer! Also, I don't have a DVD player ;-) If this would not have worked.

  • Problems with downgrade to 8.1 Win to Win 7 64 bit on Satellite S70 - A - 11 H

    Hello

My daughter already has a laptop Tosh with Win 7 64 bit that is several years old and has seen better days, so for Christmas I he bought a new laptop of S70 - A - 11 am with Win 8.1 pre-installed.
She hates. In fact she won't use the new laptop at all unless it has Win 7 on it.

For people who do not use a tablet or phone Windows phone and as desktop printing Windows 8 machine does not work for us.

Now I am working in a niche THIS role using many OS such as Microsoft Windows (XP, Win7, Server 2003, Server 2008) and Solaris, as well as a bit of RedHat.

Now, my experience of Win8 is equal to zero.
I thought it would be simple enough to install a copy at retail of Win7 with SP1 64 bit on this laptop.
Not so easy as it turns.

When I boot from the Windows 7 install DVD, the installer crashes as the Windows 7 logo begins to appear on the screen. If I try an installation with the latest driver safe mode which seems to load whenever the lock up is disk.sys.

So the question is how to install Win 7 64 bit SP1 on this notebook using a copy of Win7 retail?

Any ideas would be very appreciated.

    > If anyone else is interested the issue is caused by the use of left GPT on version 8.1.

Thank you very much for us to share this detail.
This could be very useful and interesting for others here in this community.

  • EliteBook 750 G2: Install Win 7 64-bit DVD?

OK, this is crazy, but... How to install Win 7 64 bit from the HP operating system disk? My EliteBook is not a built-in DVD player and I can't boot from my USB DVD drive in the computer. When I go into the boot with the DVD drive plugged menu, the only startup options are 'hard drive' and 'ethernet '.

There is a setup.exe file on the disk that gives me an error when I double click on it.

I have to enter the BIOS and change something?

Is there another way to install the OS?

    Thank you very much!

    -J.D. Walker

    Hello:

There are a couple of BIOS settings, you will need to change in order to install and run W7.

There are also some difficulties starting from USB3 ports.

In the BIOS, you will have to enable the legacy mode and disable secure boot (legacy mode activation can disable secure boot), in order to install and run W7.

For USB3 ports, see if there is a BIOS setting to have USB3 ports emulate usb ports 2 (or an Auto setting).

If there is not, unfortunately, I don't know what the problem is about why you cannot start USB ports.

  • System crashes, requires the difficult start run World Of Warcraft Win 7 64 bit

    * Edited for completion 10/29/09
When I run World of Warcraft, my system will lock up and require a difficult start. Sometimes this will happen after only a few minutes, sometimes it will take 1 to 2 hours, but it will always be the case.

That's what I've done so far:

I have a clean install of Win 7 64 bit, I have a new installation of the software of the game (World of Warcraft), I have a problem after a clean boot, I have all the latest drivers, tried older drivers, used a driver Sweeper and installed the latest drivers... in short, I did everything what I can do , and I did a lot of research to try to find a solution. * I also tried different compatibility modes, ran the program as an administrator, and ran the program in windowed mode, as well as various combitation of preceding.

    Tracejen,
I am also under Windows 7 64-bit and WoW.  I've not seen any problems with him myself.  Have you had this problem in any other place, or is it just for WoW?  You run the game to what resolution\level of detail?  Are the vents on your own PC and fans are you running properly?

This is so a few things to try.
If you only see this in WoW, you play other games?  If you do not really play anything else (except perhaps lonely like me) then go download a demo of a graphics intense game.  Something like Crysis or Batman Arkham Asylum (just a few suggestions), just try something that will be your tax system.  Then run this demo for a while and see what happens.  If it crashes with another game then I suggest that consider you the possibility of your system overheating.  If it crashes with another game, then remove the computer cover and blow a fan at home if possible.

If the lock upwards continues to happen only in WoW then you need to check with their support to see if they are aware of this situation.

  • IPod Shuffle 2nd Gen not recognised in Win 7 64 bit

My iPod Shuffle 2nd generation is not recognised in Win 7 64 bit.
It does not appear in iTunes or my computer.
It does not work in my other PC Win XP 32 bit, I even restored it on my other computer, but when I connect it to my PC Win 7 is not.
I also have the latest version of iTunes for 64-bit installed
Error #43 appears also in devices when I connect it.

    Hi Antonio,.

1 is. the computer able to recognize any other USB device?

2 is the issue limited to Ipod Shuffle 2nd Gen?

    3. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1.

Connect the device, run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter and check if that helps.

Follow the link given to open the Hardware Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Hardware-and-Devices-troubleshooter

    Method 2.

You can disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
    1. click on start and then click Control Panel.
    2. click on system and Maintenance, click System, and then click Device Manager.
Note that if control panel is in Classic view, double-click System and then click on Device Manager.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    3. in Device Manager, double-click to expand the "USB Bus controllers", right click on the controller host, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
Check that if at all, there is an exclamation point on the pilot, it suggests problems with the installed driver.
    4. Repeat step 2 to uninstall all items under 'USB Bus controllers'.

Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will automatically reinstall all USB controllers.

    Method 3.

If the question is limited to iPod, you can view this issue in Apple Support communities: https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa
