• Why my Wimdows Vista Ultimate PC decided, after several months of operation, that my copy of Windows is not genuine?

  My computer runs for several months; A week ago, my family told me that the machine stated that my installation is not authentic.  As I have already said, the product had been activated months ago, Security Essentials is installed and has been active; all updates had been installed as rerequired.

  I tried to turn it back on and got the error 0x8007000D code; "More information" fits the description "these data are incorrect.  I entered the Product Code and tried that gave the same answer.

  Choose one of the other options, I tried to activate by the automated phone system.  When ID Setup page, I don't get the code generated; even the boxes are not visible with just the numbers 1 to 9 above where I expect the 54 digits to display.

  I ran the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool - Version 1.9 0027 0 to see if that might shed light on the issue.  The tool gave:

  I checked the other responses on this site and was able to identify a solution to this trawl.  I then rang the number of activation of phone service and ultimately refusing to press any button when the voice prompted me and received a person in India. I tried to go into the menu system and after four attempts that ending with the beingdropped of the call, I gave up on that game this call lasted 5 seconds that I asked the young woman at the other end a little louder and the appeal was abandoned.

  I went through the process again.  I'm a young boy who, after registering my name and my number, kept wanting to call me by my first name.  This boy had a strong accent or my ears listen with a strong accent; After that I asked him to repeat what he had said for the umteenth time, the call is dropped.  I tried again, the next boy began to taking me through the details of same there is no trace of call me first!  After going through the activation process, ' it's because you selected "Caps Lock" key has no ' a diagnosis so after stupidly, we went through the process three times, he admitted that he had reached the end of its scenario and said that he passed me to another agent.»  The call transferred correctly and I found myself with a boy with a Central American accent.  After the next through details - 15 minutes, it seems Microsoft is unable to transfer information from one country to another - this youth said that I have called the wrong country Chad, and that I would have called the number in the United Kingdom.  After that I owe her aknowledge and apologizing for his three errors; that he assumed that I had called directly, the second that he did not ask his self, his client, what number I had composed, the third that he had forgotten that I told him that I had been transferred from the India Call Center.   Once more the breaking - and this time I'm back to a young woman in India.  I asked a number of folder I was having to repeat the same information, she refused and after I had as my my agin telephonenumber, she said that there was no record of my previous calls.  An hour and a half of my life sank without a trace.  At this point I remembered, why I have cleared my desk of the sharp impliments and heavy objects; the risk of self-injury and violence to others must be reduced.  Finally, the young girl generated a file number for me, 1187937351 and then told me that the technical team of the United Kingdom ends at 18:00.  So, not quite a 24/7company, eh Microsoft?

  I need now start the process again tomorrow unless someone reading this can mount an illumination.  My Vista installation had worked; It now States that it is "not true." I can't turn it back on.

  I made several attempts to validate my Windows 7 Home Premium after having successfully installed an upgrade nothing helps. My screen remains black. All files & folders are intact with the exception of some non-Microsoft programs, I'll have to re - install. A further important point is the following. The problems started when my tech service here in Minneapolis returned my system to the condition of operation after an accident is important, however, and as he informed me at the time, my Windows Update
  no longer worked. That was the initial problem. This problem is not resolved. Please help.

  I got my computer, better said my hard drive with my OS (Windows 7 Ultimate) about this since the beginning of 2010. In 2012, I built my first computer and kept my hard drive containing windows said to save money. Obviously, this was a success, not a hiccup. Normally that wouldn't be a problem since most keep people there codes. I did BUT I recently moved and my not so smart friend dumped my old computer parts. BUT NOT ONLY THAT - it's the first time I turned on my computer in 5 months. so 5 months previously, it was very good. Now, I got freaked out still am cause I can't afford to buy a new OS. but I digress, so panicked I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what to do. The windows updates all the time. I let go for a walk to clear my head and when I got home... ALL WAS GOOD the authentic not been deleted and everything was fine. UNTIL I turned the PC and came back later (literally like im this announcement) I need a fix, cause I can not afford to buy a new key, let alone will not buy something that was legally bought and paid for. If someone can tell me what I need to, I need to provide to you guys to help me would be appreciated.

  My race of the used laptop win xp pro, I have MOM who bought her company when they all upgraded and got again.  It has never included a Win xp pro disk (it doesn't even have a disk drive, I have to hang it on an external disk drive) but it has the license key (original tag) on the underside.  A few months ago, the hard drive failed and crashed.  I had a friend replace the hard drive.  To get it up and running, that it must connect to a personal computer running win xp pro.  Reloaded all through his computer, I guess that copied to mine?  The problem is now media played just ran an update/upgrade to wmp 11 and now I get a message "validate your copy of windows" and Media Player does not work... When I go to real glass site enter key there is no place to do that, he just wants me to buy Win 7 & that is going to happen, what can I do?   The key of product in use is the infamous Lenovo OEM SLP key blacklisted. This key has been blacklisted before Windows 7 came out and has never been sold.

  I am running Win7 32 on a Dell laptop. Last week my hard drive failed, I replaced and restoring a backup. Everything works fine, but I started to have a 'not genuine' warning, even if the properties of the computer system is activated. I reinstalled the product key and a message of successful validation. Now, trying to run Win Update, it crashes. I tried to run the system update readiness tool, but received the error 0xc8000247. • I just bought a HP Win 7 (unfortunately) workstation running. My previous computer ran HP XP. Windows will not let me install my fonts.

  Don't get me wrong, the HP workstation is great, it's Windows, I just can't stand.

  I tried to double click on the fonts to install and Windows returns an error message. I tried dragging the fonts in Windows 7 fonts folder and it gives me an error message. I downloaded AFM to PFM because Windows says I need the PFM files, but when I run the AFM to PFM, it returns the message that the PFM files are already there.

  I bought a laptop Sony a couple of years ago with Vista and fell on this problem. I despised Vista so I sold the Sony and remained with XP on my HP Workstation. In fact, I was so p - o'ed on Vista, I went out and bought a Mac Pro and Mac Book Pro, as I intend to dump Windows altogether. Unfortunately, the vast majority of my work required of Windows programs.

  Given that, I decided to go for the new HP workstation because I had heard horror stories less on Win 7. I was then going to sell both of my Macs.

  Unfortunately, it was a BIG mistake because now I'm stuck with a work station $3,400 that I can't use to work on my documents InDesign, Illustrator and Word that have all of the fonts I was running XP (and which run WITHOUT problem on my Mac).

  It is a problem of Windows, and when I tried to contact MS supports, I was directed to HP since Win 7 is pre-installed on my workstation.

  I just got the phone with HP Technology Support and they say they can't help because even if it IS a WINDOWS PROBLEM, they do not support software related issues.

  I even tried to copy the font files to the Directory Windows on my old PC, nothing helps.

  I'm willing to put this thing on eBay so I can't empty MS FOR GOOD!

  By using the vSphere Client, I created a customization of comments with 'Virtual Machine OS target' = "Windows".

  Then I tried to deploy a virtual machine from a Windows model. In the model "deploy" dialog box, in the "Guest" Customization screen, the 'customize using an existing customization specification' is grayed out and disabled and I see the following warning:
  Resources of Windows customization on the server have not been found.
  Why am I unable to use the comments Windows customization that I created?
  I am running: VMware vCenter Server, 4.1.0 345043 on Windows Server 2008 R2
  According to the VMware Knowledge Base system, preparation tools are integrated into the Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system and do not have to be downloaded
