win a restore cd 8.1

My new laptop HP with Windows 8.  After 2 hours of download of updates, I was able to upgrade to Windows 8.1.   Buy Windows restore CD that have win instead of 8.0 8.1?  I really don't want to go through this process again.  Thank you.

Hello:

I doubt that this will be an option, but you can make an image of your current installation system and allows to reinstall W8.1.

You can keep this updated image when you want to.

To make a system image, you need a portable drive hard usb to at least the same size that used space it on your hard drive.

Plug that in, click the spell research.  Type history of the file.

Click on the file history and at the bottom left of the window will be a link to create a system image.

  • Win 7 restore without disk recovery on Satellite L350-277

    Hi all

I'm trying to fix Satellite L350-277 of my sister-in-law following a HARD drive failing. Before the crash, he was running Win7 Home Premium (32 bit) that was preinstalled on the HARD drive. I managed to run Belarc on it before it went completely, but could not create the restore disc in time.

Disk failure HARD seems to be due to bad sectors and once failed, could not get past startup repair. While they were inspecting HARD drive (in the USB enclosure), both C: and D: (backup partition) appeared to be intact, so guessed was discussed with MBR. I have used Clonezilla to clone new HARD drive and I'm now work - failure of HARD drive it's always like it was incase I need to clone again.

With the HARD drive clone, I first tried to use bootrec.exe but some successful how to 'break' C: and could not see anything in the score.

BTW I am currently using a copy of DVD retail Win 7 to provide the functions of "restore". However the Toshiba restore capabilities do not appear in the list of options. So I decided then to install everything on C: retail copy to see if I could access toshiba restore functions using data in D:, that doesn't seem to work either.

Then I stumbled on this thread that gave me the hope to be able to start the Toshiba recory tool:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=44382

I was hoping that Vista and Win7 preinstalls would be very similar, but the HARD drive has a recovery partition (D:\ HDDRecovery) and seems to fall in step 13. There are two files boot.wim in this partition: 'D:\hddrecovery\oddfiles\sources\boot.wim' and 'D:\hddrecovery\oddfiles\hddprep\sources\boot.wim '. Imaging either of these files does not cause the file according to the instructions of step 13. Here again, the guide is based around the Vista installation...

So what I try to do is to retrieve the data from the old HARD drive with the damaged boot record in order to restore the Win 7 OS pre-installed Toshiba. I seem to have the data (old HDD still retains files) do not seem to have enough knowledge now do!

    Can someone help me?

On the one hand I can understand your wish to install the recovery image, but on the other hand, for me personally, this is nothing but waste your time for nothing. In General, recovery image is designed may not be copied or manipulated so this guy was very lucky.

Problem is that this recovery disk is not created after the purchase of the laptop.

Maybe it sounds stupid to you, but I recommend you restore disk original order for this machine.
You can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
It costs 30 Euro only. With this money, you will get original recovery disk that includes the operating system active, all necessary drivers, tools, utilities and a few additional and useful applications.

Using this disk, you will be able to have perfectly working machine in just 2 hours.

One more thing: the use of the disc is unlimited and you can use it 1000 times and each time you have enabled and configured perfectly BONE.

  • Upgrade to win 10_is restoration to win7 smooth if necessary?

I upgraded my computer to win 10 and lost a bunch of programs I've used. However I couldn't roll as soon as it was too late. I now have a new for me computer and need to know if the cancellation is smooth before I try again. Really I wouldn't have to reinstall everything again. Yes, I have a backup online, but would have to download that and it's not small. Should I make a DVD?

As far as I know, the rollback method is far from smooth.

  • Update Win 8.1 - error 0xC100101 - 0 x 30018

    Hello
Since this morning, I am trying to Win 8 on Win 8.1 update. This works until reboot the laptop. Then win 8 restored and the PC restarted again with the error message that the update failed and the original windows has been restarted with the 0xC100101 - 30018 0 x error message.

Thanks in advance for your help.
8.1 win was already installed, but due to a failure 8 Win was renewed. All the necessary updates are already made.

    Greetings

    Hello

I read that some installed WLan (Atheros, Realtek) driver may cause the error 0xC100101 - 0 x 30018 while 8 Win Win 8.1 upgrade.

Its very important that you follow the instructions to upgrade in stages as shown here:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-upgrade-stepbystep/

Also updated the driver Win 8.1 and the installation must be done in the right order. This can be checked in the installation instructions file that can be downloaded from the Toshiba UE (drivers for your model laptop) driver page

  • S10 restore (seemed) Messup - Help!

Hello. Well, today I decided to restore my netbook s10 (new start). But because it was a netbook, I didn't know how to go on this issue. So, I had looked on the web how to the s10 netbook. I now recently a reader of cd for the netbook, but also a copy of Windows XP (sp3) cd fresh got a little while ago. An post said I could from a CD of win to restore the computer, but be careful not to delete the hidden for a restore key partition. I also was making sure to not get deleted for this netbook from Lenovo-ware features.

But instead of reinstalling Windows xp again, I selected to repair windows. So, after that has been done. Windows was loading, but then shortly after the netbook is off! (Do not know if this may have had an effect on installation) He needed be properly charged or plugged.  So, after plugging, I turned on the s10 netbook. He loaded as usual with the startup Lenovo & Quicklaunch splash screen (Lenovo-ware still tac). Then loaded windows xp. Then shown face Veri (work). So then I logged in username identical to before.

Then as he was charge my user (not yet shown office) account, a notification came to ask me to sign, I had to activate Windows. Yes or no. Then, I selected Yes. Desktop was loading. Then nothing. The only thing was the mouse & background. No other load. I waited ten minutes or more. Some functions now did not work (i.e.. Right click, click, key Start Menu, ctrl + r, etc.). The mouse can move.

So, now my question is, what can I do? How can this be repaired? Should I actually install Windows XP SP3 (not repair)? Please help . Thank you & God bless .

Note: At the time this was written, I did outside the OS, Quicklaunch Splashtop.

Hey, all the . Thank you for your help. I solved it myself & with prayer. I realize that when I put in the product key for Windows, I confused with only 1 letter in the code! But then I went back to the Windows installation, this sweet time on the new partition installation (C: deleted, kept the hidden partition). So after doing this the boot always has the startup Lenovo screen, but has not loaded Quick Start. Then loaded Windows & resembled an office of first ordinary Windows (without certain features of netbook Lenovo s10). So, I got the drivers & them installed on it. Then I got my other media-ware programs. Now it works like before, except better & faster (I don't have the stuff that I didn't need that came preinstalled & drivers I do not use or need) . Take care & God bless .

  • Pavilion dv7t-4000 laptop: AMD HDMI port on the computer laptop dv7 is lost after free trial Win10 returns to Win7 Home Premium edition

My laptop was purchased in sept 2010 and runs Win7 Home Premium Edition (64-bit).

It worked perfectly until June 2016, when the trial version free odious Win10 forced itself on my laptop.  I had no choice, I used Win10 for a day or 2 and then discovered that:

    (1) I lost the audio capability, HDMI port, I use to connect to my TV, and

    (2) the Win10 trial enabled me to return on Win7, I did without delay.

In my Win 7 restored, everything was fine, except when I have her go in Control Panel to configure / reconfigure HDMI as the default, I couldn't - the element used to appear as "AMD HDMI Audio" is no longer displayed.  I remember a message during the free trial period Win10 that says it has disabled any material incompatible.  Without a doubt, Win10 free trial 'killed' this HDMI/device port, at least audio-wise.

Today, I always run the same Win7, but I can't have audio HDMI on this port.  When I connect to my TV, the video works.  Win7 Device Manager it shows with an exclamation in yellow, and when I right click to get more details, there is a message saying Microsoft:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52).

Is there a way to 'get it '?  'this' is AMD HDMI audio.  (and wthout spoil the graphics - that is, video)

I tried to install the drivers provided by AMD [graphics] and that did not work. The Internet from AMD website says that the audio drivers are included in the package for graphics drivers.  There is also a huge confusion in the way these low level items are named/described: ATI and AMD, because they have merged, were used somewhat interchangeably.  I also tried the graphics drivers AMD HP Support Web site specific to my laptop and it has only gotten worse.

Thank you for your kind attention.

    Hi @ RTX,

Awesome response. I read the details and depth of your post. I understand that the bios is updated. So you could end up with this update.

Happens to the other updates. This will be the order.

    1. Uninstalling the driver Chipset and resettlement.

2 reinstalling and uninstalling graphics drivers

    3. uninstall the sound drivers and reinstall.

Before uninstalling, you can try to update the drivers supplied by device also Manager and if that market that will be great. Please, do it only if you don't have already done.

Before uninstalling please make sure that you capture an image of the complete Device Manager window. Take some pictures of your cell phone. Please note the exact device for audio and video chipset drivers. Then, you will need to uninstall it from the Device Manager and install from the support site in the above order so that there is no confusion.

If nothing works as a last resort, you may need to restore complete system to factory settings. Please backup your files before doing so. This is possible since the recovery of your computer's hard drive partition.

  • G2 zbook 17: return to factory data Zbook

Hi, I've updated my G2 Zbook, initially with Win 7, wearing so to win 10.

When installing the recommended option was to delete all partitions, even that of Win 7 Restore, and so I did. I have created no recovery disk more.

Supplied with the notebook, I have two drives:

    (1) HP Operanting DVD Windows 10 Pro system
    (2) application of HP and Driver Recovery DVD

These are the discs to restore, or I was wrong not to create recovery discs?

I cleaned the discs to ensure they were free of fingerprints to scratches etc and represented the revovery.  The installation process began after an automatic restart.  Welcome administrator came and came HPSoftware Installation window screen.   Progress bars showed activity installation but stopped with the bar less than 20 to 25%.  The connected device is the wireless USB keyboard/mouse receiver.  NOW THAT?  (I have run recoveries on several other computers over the years and have never encountered this problem before.)  Before the recovery, I ran diagnosis on equipment and all sent items.

I noticed during the phase with 5 discs of recovery one back type window popped up with "the system cannot find cmd.exe" in two lines of code.  After a few seconds, several code channels ran through the window and the window closed. Maybe I saw the same message later in the installation phase too, but it was very brief.  I don't know if that has anything to do with my problem.

It's been 2 hours since the progress bar stopped at 20-25%

I'll give it a try later today.  I'll also try an install of Win 7 if I can find a.  I would like to set up a dual boot if and as soon as I win 8 restored

You can still use the taskbar window menus, for example via right click; If you don't even see a window to fight against it.   Also, even if you don't you can probably even control it via the keyboard when you know you have the keyboard focus. for example, press Alt + Tab to find and press Alt-space, to see its menu of the window.  Alternatively, you could minimize all but the window problem, e.g. Press Win - D, restore the problem (using the button on the bar or tasks by pressing Alt - Tab to find), and then use the command of the Cascade windows taskbar (for example with right-click an empty area on the toolbar using this option).

Also put update or re - install the latest video drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

The Crucial SSD of M IS compatible with this system?

I try to set it up and the system hangs.

Its rights to licensed Windows Pro 8.1 with downgrade to Windows 7 Professional. You will need make the recovery using Dell backup media and restore your original disc. Theres no need to change the BIOS settings earlier.

After that, remove your hard drive and insert your mSATA SSD. Use the Dell backup and recovery USB to reinstall Windows on the mSATA SSD. Once you are satisfied with the installation of Windows on the drive mSATA remove it and insert the HARD drive, use DISKPART OWN while using your DVD of Windows 8.1. Then insert the mSATA SSD, Windows 7 starter and initialize the HARD disk, implemented as a data reader.
