Battery does not charge in my Inspiron 5748 - Intel [email protected] / 8 GB RAM / 1 TB drive / two years. I replaced the charger and the battery but the problem persists. I've seen on other mobile messages and wonder if this could be a problem with the connector/plug (between the adapter and laptop), and if I could replace that? In addition, the problem seems to have started when we went from Win8.1 to Win10; would that be a problem?

It is a hardware issue that will not be solved by a BIOS update.

If the system is under warranty, call Dell for the repair or replacement of the adapter / power to the system.

If it is out of warranty,

    1. try a new adapter Dell OEM.  It can solve the problem.

    2. in the case, replace the DC Jack:

    3. If that does not resolve the problem, it is the motherboard that is defective and must be replaced.

  • XPS13-9350 Linux to Win10 problems

    Hi all

I got my brand new XPS13-9350 today. I ordered it with Linux as an operating system. As I have a few Win10 spare Pro licensed, I did a clean install of Win10 Pro. So far so good, except for two issues:

In Device Manager, IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers entry has a yellow exclamation point and wrote:

"This device cannot start. (Code 10). A card i/o hardware error has occurred. "

I installed the Intel Chipset driver from the dell Web site.

Also, if I go to the dell drivers page and do "detect the drivers", I get

Detection of driver is not available
Please try again later or use find it it me tab to find the drivers for the Service label or consult the list of the drivers available for your product.

I tried to download a windows restore image, but it seems that I can't do that, because my computer is configured with Linux.

I would be grateful for any advice what I can do.

    Thank you very much

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about your recent audio quality in Win10 problems and wanted to help.

Whenever someone comes here running Win10 and complains about something just suddenly does not work, I immediately suspect driver updates Windows.

Unfortunately, Win10 forces automatically updates driver on each of us, without our knowledge and without our permission - and in this case, a work PC is suddenly 'broken '.  This could happen to you.

You must go to the settings, update & Security-> Windows Update.

Then, choose Advanced-> history to see when the updates have been applied last.  If you see one that include device drivers, who might be the problem. So, if you can, you should see if you can restore the drivers that are causing the problem.  Do so you by going into Device Manager, see if the device is still listed and so, trying to restore the last driver update.

And if this resolves the problem, then disable future driver updates by using the information in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/15989-device-driver-automatic-installation-turn-off-windows-10-a.html

    Good luck

I checked and found that my computer has stopped udating a couple of years. I tried to run Fixit MS that has not worked. Tried to reboot (BITS) and got ERROR 126 (module not found) I then followed the instructions at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2700567 on how to reset the Windows Update components. I guess my question is what I have to do a restore of the system under windows 7, before I can upgrade to windows 10? Or y at - it another way?

    Hello glockrow ;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about windows update problems and wanted to help.

I would that be able to say that updating to Win10 was an exact science where we know exactly how he does it, and what it should - but the flooding of this and other instances of Win10 problem after that problem indicates that, at best, we are all guessing.

So, I think, from what I've read and done on my PC, is that you SHOULD be able to avoid the problem of missing updates by updating using Win10 created using this MS link media: 10 Windows Installer using the media - Windows help authoring tool

After you create the DVD or USB, NOT boot from it. Instead, insert it into your PC and, if it does not auto-start, right click on the file setup.exe and run it.

HOWEVER - and this is important - PC Win7 have a rate low success updated Win10 without problem - primariluy lack of OEM Win10 drivers.  Typical problems include display artifacts (to cause to be obliged to use the driver for the card of Microsoft Basic), not wireless and touchpad problems.  The drivers Microsoft provides have only the most basic features, with none of the extras that the HP drivers bring to the stage.

It is further complicated by the function Win10 GoBack, whereby you can return to your original operating system, being known to be unreliable. So when your upgrade machine malfunctioning, only then you discover that you cannot return the machine to work, that you had originally!

You can protect yourself against ending up with a damaged machine - seriously considering using a free third-party product that works for airport Imaging/restoration - Macrium Reflect.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

So now you can recharge before with the upgrade, knowing that whatever happens, you will be able to return to your currently works in a few minutes.

    Good luck

  • I was wondering if there were other problems with Adobe CC and the last IOS El captain?

I've recently updated to IOS Yosemite to El Capitan, when I went to launch Premiere Pro for the first time, there were a few very visible differences of how things went, if not, the program has worked very well.

Thinking that this might just be a problem after installing just El Capitan, I thought that a reboot would clear things up. When I went to restart, I could not go beyond the initial start-up of the grey Apple screen, I ended up having to wipe the drive and reinstall El Capitan, nd, then migrate my data from my backup of TM, what a shot, it took hours to complete.

Anyone else having similar problems? Anyone know when Adobe get out their CC to CE upgrade?

I don't know about Apple (I'm on Windows), but I read that Microsoft has a way to restore the previous operating system if an upgrade to Win10 does not work

I don't want to know about it, because my Win8.1 works with all my current software... I have read Win10 problems with the software that I have now, so I will NOT go to Win10

If Apple does not offer a way back to the BONE you had before, I think you're stuck with problems until 'the 3rd party vendors' make changes to work with El Capitan

And, if you do a "time machine" backup before the upgrade, be aware that TM backups do NOT work with Adobe because of... hidden folders software then you would need to uninstall and reinstall

And just so you know, Microsoft has also problems with Mac 10.11 El Capitan

Also don't know if this is related to the attempt to load windows 10 or not, but continues to go from my black screen and I have to restart.

It's a good decision.  You'd be surprised how many people insist on lameness with a paralyzed machine that works — JUST so they can operate "the last and largest" Windows operating system - v10!

Myself, I got tired of Win10 problems and returned to Win8.1 - because I like a machine where everything works.

    or the developer forums, but...

    "but mine is 32 bits"

(Assuming you are using the disk depending on the version of the game.)

-A 32-bit Windows can be an advantage with some games of this vintage (release date of 97) as

always use a 16-bit Installer, which will run on 32-bit but not 64-bit of Windows.

Apart from that, there should be no difference between the OS versions for compatibility.

-However, prior to version 2000 games (and some newer), may have other

-The camera may result from a problem with earlier versions of Open GL, Direct 3D.

These questions sometimes have patches on based fan sites.

  • alerts to activate after update of Windows 10

After an automatic update Windows 10 about 2 weeks, I
Get Adobe activation alert "Activation limit reached for CS5.5 Master
Collection"every time I start an application such as Photoshop Acrobat Adobe or
Acrobat. The alert said that my Adobe software will stop working in the next few days.
Is there a a way to solve this problem by resetting the activation limit?

I have several work projects using Adobe Mater
Collection. I've been spending money and time on them. They are now in danger
    not working more.

Adobe Master Collection CS5.5 was original installed in my
PC with operating system Windows 7. Around July 2016, my PC has been upgraded to
Windows 10 by itself without my consent. It seems the Adobe activation alert
did not come to the top right after the immediate passage of the upgrade to Windows 7
10 Windows. Only in about 2 weeks, the 10 Windows updated itself again
automatically and alerts activation limit comes all the time.

Please, is it possible to set the activation
problem? I now fear that all applications of third party software
specific Adobe applications, which I've previously installed on my PC with Windows 7
probably will not work on Windows 10. I must restore to Windows 7 in order
having CS5.5 Master Collection working correctly?

If your problem REALLY is associated with activation, here is the link

Don't forget to request ONLY activation support set your number of activations

Serial number and activation support (no-Cloud) https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2041990

Given that your problem started with a Win10 update, personally, I doubt you have a problem with the activation... you have a Win10 problem

If the imaging program that you use also captures the hidden record files, dating back to Win7 should work... then, you need to set your options of Windows Update (something like) "Tell me about updates, but do NOT install automatically" or later, you'll be immediately where you are now, with causing the problems with old programs Win10

  • Connection problem Ipod mini, 2005 with win10 model

Hello! I have an Ipod mini, 2005 model, and I decided to use it again after many years. My problem is that when I connect the camera with my PC (win10 + itunes 12.3), there is nowhere in my PC or itunes. It starts to load, but that's all. Is there a way to make it work, or it is old and I forget it? Thank you very much!

  • Shutdown/sleep problems Win10 V5-573-54204G50aii and similar models

    Hello

I have an acer aspire v5 - 573 and its got some problem with win10.

go to sleep is not turned off in all parts of the pc.

the operating system goes into sleep mode and the screen turns off, but the fans continue to operate and it remains hot and unresponsive.

the only way out of this State is force it off by holding the power button.

which obviously stop the machine completely and if the sleep state saved is lost when its powered upwards again.

So basically the day before is unusable.

with respect to the regular diet down, it only works if I arrested him shortly after the start (maybe an hour or two).

If the machine is on for longer than this, a judgment will result in the same State, as described above for

standby. pretty funny if I run the system for a few hours (until a stop working properly) and then do a restart, it restarts, but instead correctly stop...

I have gone through several complete relocations of a different version of win10 and have installed the latest drivers acer and no other programs. the problems persist. In addition, a friend of mine who has a different configuration of this acer aspire model v5 - 573, knows very similar if not exactly the same questions.

y at - it a fix for this? everyone knows about similar problems?

    It is a known compatibility issue with computers Intel Haswell-ULT (e.g. 4200U i5, i5 4210U i7 4500U) and the driver Windows 10 Intel Management Engine Interface 11.0.0.1146.

The most commonly used workaround is to use the Windows 8.1 Intel Management Engine Interface 9.5.24.1790 driver.   If you're lucky, it's just a simple matter to go to the Device Manager and roll back the driver.  If you did a clean installation of Windows 10, rollback may not work, and you may need to install 9.5.24.1790.
