Win7 client TCP send RST/ACK

Win-7 TCP sends [RST/ACK] after ~ 90 sec of traffic all the time. Reproducible 100% on several PC Win - 7.

Same TCP App on Win - XP works fine.  Socket TCP in both cases connected to one machine Linux Ubuntu.

Any suggestions how debug layer TCP?

  • IPSec on the Client TCP connections via USB

    We have a problem (and I noticed that several other people here are as well) to our users of broadband remote is not not able to connect. We just recently started getting complaints from users at home XP they were getting errors while trying to connect to the hub.

    To begin troubleshooting we moved our hub 3015 outside our firewall temporarily. Users were still unable to connect. After some additional troubleshooting, we were able to successfully reproduce this problem by simply changing the VPN client to users of IPsec over TCP to IPsec over UDP.

    Then, we tried to identify why she passed to some customers, but not all. In the end, the only thing we could find really different was that customers who have a USB port to connect to the network instead of a correct Ethernet port cannot connect via IPSec over TCP. We have tested and verified on several operating systems, including Windows 2000, XP Home and XP PRO. We have also tested and verified with multiple VPN Clients including 3.5.1 and 3.6.3b.

    The end result is that all case users who use a type USB connection cannot connect via IPSec over TCP. All users who connect through a correct Ethernet adapter are able to connect via another method.

    Our problem is that we cannot run UDP connections behind our firewall without conversion on NAT. We send a client preconfigured to our users which forces to use tcp port udp by default 10000 10000 verses. We do this for several reasons, but the most important of them is our firewall will not redirect sessions IPSec UDP, IPSec TCP sessions only.

    Leaving the VPN concentrator outside the firewall and exposed is not an option. So, I find myself with say to all my users USB that is the only way that they can connect to install an Ethernet card, which ultimately is not really much of an option considering expenditure and technical knowledge necessary to pull it off the coast with hundreds of individuals it just will not fly.

    So, this brings me to this forum. Before I open a TAC case I hear experts to try to determine as closely as possible, if this is a problem of Microsoft or Cisco VPN client. I have my suspicions that this is owned by Microsoft, but I can't prove anything yet. Does anyone else have an idea on this? Please, I invite everyone to test this out and let us know what you find. If you would like more details on the methodology please let me know and I would be happy to provide it. I think it is potentially a huge problem only by the number of complaints I've seen in this forum. My supervisor thinks I smoking something when I try to explain this to him. All he can say is "if it was really a problem, more people would certainly also, and you would have heard about it now, it must be in your configuration." GO FIX"(does all this sound familiar?)

    I appreciate all of the comments that everyone is willing to give. I think that if we as a community get together on this we can find a solution.

    Thanks for your time!

  • VPN Client TCP connection to router IOS

    Hello

    I try to get a VPN client to connect via TCP to a router. I currently have the router put in place (and work) in using a VPN - UDP. Unfortunately one of the sites I visit will not allow VPN traffic outside of their firewall. I have searched all over the site of Cisco and can't find any information on the IOS configuration to accept TCP - VPN connections. I would like to change the TCP port 80, so my VPN traffic looks like just standard internet browsing my client firewall. Any links/pointer would be greatly appreciated.

    I think that if your client application tries to call an API specific 'cluster', for example, CahceFactory.ensureCluster (), it will start its own cluster.

    However, if your client application get only a cache remtoe reference, it shoudn't start is own cluster.

  • Need help on TCP/IP port multi Client-Server

    Hi all, I'm trying to develop a client-server application to disseminate data on a few numbers of random ports (defined by myself) to the data on the server TCP stream (IE another computer) in LabVIEW. So far, I created my app using the examples OR for 'Simple Client + Server data' and it works fine. I also understand that VI 'TCP Listen' could not listen to the TCP 1 connection only and a way around this is to use the idea of queues to receive & process the incoming data. The disadvantage of the idea is that the 'port' basic (IE original port) must be the same (on each client TCP) with the TCP server and it is not suitable for the use I have planned.

    Basically on the side of TCP server, I need to graph/control data on different port numbers that are currently broadcast in real time to client TCP one computer. Is this possible in LabVIEW?

    Anyone (gurus OR incl.) advise and point me in the right direction?

    * lost *.

    Hello

    http://zone.NI.com/DevZone/CDA/EPD/p/ID/2739 Here you can download this component. But you can also use the TCP icons which is available in the data communications > Protocals > TCp for communication and to read and write data using flattened string Variant. I have attached a small example where I'll copy a constant string to the PC to check the connection between the client and the host server. Hope this helps you.

    No matter how you have configured the Send button when you use the feature distribute the form. There are some e-mail address is in your identity preferences (Edit > preferences > identity) and use it. If you can change the email address it or not to use distribute the form and the button send the value you want.

    One thing that happens when you use the feature to distribute the form is the form is enabled Reader, you can do separately, but you really shouldn't do if the form must be used by others. The dispenser a form must activate using their copy under license of Acrobat Reader.

  • I don't want to send the client identifiers when they register, how can I send them later?

    I have a secure area that is put in place, when a registered customer that they are not added to this area they will have to be approved first.

    I have disabled the email that gives the customer login information when filling out the registration form, instead, they get just the answering machine telling them they cannot connect until they have been approved and will receive an email within 24 to 48 hours.

    When the customer is then added to the secure area, I want the email to go out with the connection information, how can I do this?

    Thank you

    Dean

    Hi Dean,

    The ideal option is to go to secure the areas->-> Quick Subscribers subscribe + have ticked the details by email to the user.

    Another option is to go into the details of the customer through clients-> subscriptions-> sending of identifiers.

    Otherwise, the only alternative is to manually send the clients to inform them of their login information and access.

  • no reply SYN/ACK received for most of the SYN packets sent to windows7, 2008, 2012, 8

    I have a small program that sends several TCP packets to a server.

    customer - portA-> server-portB
    customer - portA-> server-portC
    customer - portA-> server-port
    customer - portA-> server-door

    Packets are sent through libnet, in a loop.

    customer - portA - SYN-> server-portB (through Code)
    customer - portA - SYN-> server-portC (by Code)
    customer - portA - SYN-> server-port (by Code)
    customer - portA - SYN-> server-door (by Code)
    If I run the program in windows XP, it works fine, I get SYN/ACK for each package.
    After receiving the SYN/ACK, the nucleus (?, I'm not sure what to do, but not my code) sends an RST for each SYN/ACK received.

    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA - RST-> server-portB (not my Code)
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portc="">
    customer - portA - RST-> server-portC (not my Code)
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portd="">
    customer - portA - RST-> server-port (not my Code)
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-porte="">
    customer - portA - RST-> server-door (and not by my Code)

    However, when I run the program in windows7 (or window2012 or 2008 or windows8), SYN/ACK is received only for the first port, portB.
    And no RST is sent from the client side. In addition, the SYN/ACK is received repeatedly.

    customer - portA - SYN-> server-portB (through Code)
    customer - portA - SYN-> server-portC (by Code)
    customer - portA - SYN-> server-port (by Code)
    customer - portA - SYN-> server-door (by Code)
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="">

    I already tried to send RST after SYN/ACK to replicate what happened in XP but still no SYN/ACK is received for ports C to E.
    In addition, after sending the RST for portB, the server continues to send SYN/ACK of portB.

    customer - portA - SYN-> server-portB (through Code)
    customer - portA - SYN-> server-portC (by Code)
    customer - portA - SYN-> server-port (by Code)
    customer - portA - SYN-> server-door (by Code)
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA - RST-> server-portB (this time through Code)
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="" server-portb="">
    customer - portA< ----syn/ack-----="">

    Rather than send the RST, I tried also to send ACK, RST/ACK or END/ACK but nothing has worked.

    Can someone help me with this please?
    I need to make my program works for all windows platforms.
    What I want is to receive SYN/ACK for each port (B to E).

    Are there differences in these windows platforms that can affect this TCP behavior?

  • How to manage the threads for TCP communication?

    Hello

    I have a project to control two separate applications (C++ and LabView) and two of them are implemented as server. Another client program (C++) is used to control applications. Communication between them are implemented using TCP socket. The client program sends the message to start or stop tasks on servers. The client program also sends time (HH) with the message start and end to determine when to start or stop.

    Application in C++ (server): Listening to the request for the connection and when gets one, it creates a thread of communication allowing to manage this and listen again to another connection. Communication wire crossing of handles and messages when it receives a start or a stop message, it creates a thread of timer with the received time to trigger a task at the time specified. And after that he expects the client message. So, here, when the thread (communication, timer) is necessary, it is created.

    In LabView (server): I tried to create the same as the C++ server. But, in manual of LabView and other discussions of the forum, I got that LabView is multithreaded and it can be done with the help of the loop independent. So, I had to create four loops in a diagram:

    1. wait the new connection

    2 manage the communication for the already received connection

    3. start the timer

    4 stop the timer

    and they are executed at the beginning of execution and communication between them are managed using local variables. But, 2, 3 and 4th loop can handle only one connection and it can handle another if the current is closed. The C++ application can handle multiple connections by creating the thread when it is necessary, but not at the beginning of the application.

    Is there a better way to implement this in LabView?

    Is it possible to manage multiple connections and create the diagram node/block (such as a wire) dynamically as C++?

    Thank you.

    There are several ways to do so in modern LabVIEW and you should probably seek the Finder example for TCP examples. The classic is to transfer the refnum of connecting the listening loop in a communications loop that adds to an array of login credentials and then constantly iterates through this array to make the communication. He works on LabVIEW 4.0 perfectly for me even for applications with basic HTTP communication protocol. But you must make sure that the communication for a connection is not delaying his work for reasons that would delay the handling of other connections too, because they are really of course worked on sequentially. If you encounter an error, the connection ID is closed and removed from the table.

    The other is that create you a VI that makes your entire communication and ends on an error or when the order quite. Make this reentrant VI and then launch it through VI server as the instance home, passing the refnum of newly received connection form the listening loop. Then use the method to Run let start and operate as an independent thread.

    For all these, you should be able to find an example in the example Finder when searching for TCP.
