Win7 Professional Journal on data

Hello world.

I bought a new computer 2 days ago, which came with Win7 installed on it.  So I started to install the programs that I usually use, and one of them is Client from Novell that allows me to connect on University drive. After installation, I restarted the computer and when it is on there asked me to journal on data, i.e. user name and password. I have never set up the accounts of users or passwords, so now I'm lost: I can not connect to my own computer.

Any suggestions what I could do?

PS: the password only I have is something that appeared when I first connected to the wifi.

If you bought the computer to "Factory condition" then he you prompted for an account & password during the initial installation process. This is the account that you now use.

If someone has done the initial setup process for you then you need to ask that person for the account and the password he used.

  • Win7 professional help

About 3 years ago I bought the card Win7 Professional Anytime Upgrade from Best Buy and install on my computer immediately. However, a job offer brought me to the Mexico. Recently I had to replace my drive hard and now have to reinstall everything back on it.

My question is, I would like to put Win7 Pro on my computer. But I noticed on the back of the card that it is said that it is 'For DISTRIBUTION AND USE ONLY in us'

This means that even if I bought the upgrade, while in the United States, I can't use it as long as I live in the Mexico? Or am I sure to upgrade my computer?

  • Win7 Home x 64 to Win7 Professional update

    Hello

Just bought the z830 which comes with Windows® 7 Home Premium (64-bit) and I was wondering can I put it to Win7 Pro (32-bit)? I have the CD Pro Win7 already, but I just want to see if there will be any hardware and software issues? and how to create a partition for recovery if I upgrade to Win 7 Pro.

    Thank you people

    David

    Hello David

You can upgrade Win7 and you can also make clean Setup Pro. It is your decision, but before you do anything please create recovery DVDs using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
It is very important. It may happen that after upgrade to the operating system you will not be able to start the recovery of the HARD disk image. You will not access more.

With DVD recovery in hand, the situation is completely different. When you want, you can use this disk to install Win7 and have once again the factory settings.

In General, all available drivers, tools and utilities on the Toshiba download page are the same for the home premium or professional version so if you make the decision to install the clean version you can download all the stuff-http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Please let us know what you want to do exactly, and if you need help you are welcome.

  • Win7 Professional - please specify 'Note' (Virtual PC Download Web page)

Need to understand exactly with the phrase 'Note' (the bottom line)

I've tried versions French and Dutch on this page, but I do not understand the exact meaning.

My concern is that in order to use an all-in-one device HP psc750 works perfectly on Windows XP, for which HP does not care to provide drivers for Win - 7, nor for which Windows built-in driver seem to work as expected.  XPmode in Win7 might be a solution.

  • Cannot switch to WIN7 Home Premium to WIN7 Professional

All trying to solve a problem with Windows Update will not download updates, I fear that a cleaner spyware I used at the time, this problem occurred firstly has deleted some registry information (and I thought that that may have caused problems with Windows Update), so I decided to try upgrading my Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional (64 bit).  I have the DVD upgrade, because a year or two ago I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 from Windows XP.  When this desktop computer began to die a slow death, I uninstalled Windows of the player and the computer put on the scrap heap.  With this update has been successfully uninstalled, I thought that I could use it to upgrade my Windows 7 Home Premium (OEM came on my laptop which I use exclusively now), but when I tried, installing told me I could do only either a "custom installation" that would have wiped out any and all other programs and files on the laptop , or use the Express upgrade.  When I tried the Express upgrade, he initially asked me my product key I then typed in and validity verified, began the upgrade process and then told me that he could not put to Home Premium upgrade to the professional version, even if also seem to indicate that he might.  Maybe that's a problem with my Windows 7 Upgrade DVD that was used before and the product key being somehow in the system as "being used?"  If so, what are my options?

  • How to use memory and boost system performance by using 8 gb win7 Professional 64-bit

    Hello

    I m using HP430 (I have 3 Basic) laptop with win7 64 bit Professional installed.

recently, I ve upgraded to 8 GB of ram, but I don't really see the system performance problem.

Can anyone guide the optimal memory use and improve the performance of the system (file e.g.page, etc.)

    Thanks in advance,

    Prashant

    Hello.

If, for example, your system was using 2 GB before you upgrade the memory, it will use more than 2 GB.  The only time where you would see that a performance gain would be if you had only 1 GB in the system and the system was attempting to use 2 GB.  If you had more that what you were using in the first place you will see no difference.  8 gb is a lot of memory for normal use.  At most I use about 3.5 GB and it is with some powerful applications running.

    See you soon.

  • Impossible to install CS3 on win7 professional

    Dear supporters,

After you set up Professional Win7 64 bit in a virtualbox (4.3.10r93012), I tried to install my old copy of Adobe CS3 Master. The installer is hollow all the DVDs, but in the end, only the common files are installed (all selected programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, first installation has failed). I also tried to install Illustrator DVD4 13 only but it won't work without the installer on 1 DVD. Any suggestions are welcome.

    Hi hmkeller,

You might want to try to download CS3 of: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs3-product-downloads.html

and install in compatibility mode like CS3 has not been tested and is not compatible with Windows 7.

Please consider the purchase of creative cloud subscription.

    Kind regards

Out of curiosity, I imported DesktopIconsDomainSettingsUSE.reg of http://www.sd61.bc.ca/windows2000/Windows7/Documents.html

in the registry of a standalone PC with XP Pro SP3 XP.

I write the current values before the import, but I did not export the keys.

I removed what was imported in the keys and changed the values for the keys that existed to the original values.   For example, change from 0 to 1.

    The registry is not serious?

It is impossible to say if you did everything correctly.  To make sure he was in the way he has been, perform a system restore using a date and time before you merged the registry entries.  System Restore is best done is Safe Mode.

  • How format/reinstal Win7 without losing my data

I had a problem with laptop of my vga, and now it turns out that my windows you have something eror, it won't go on the desktop / user account, just on the windows loading screen.

I need to format/reinstal my windows curent, without losing all my data, but how?

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.
