  Video drivers on laptops are designed for mobile use and aren t updates every mont as on desktop computers.

  You are right. Laptop is too old and designed for Windows XP Home edition. Toshiba supports much more recent laptops than A100.

  I think you expect too much of this old piece of hardware. In my opinion, you should get Win7 32 bit working on it.

  I tried about 30 different versions, I tried official (failures even in vista will not work correctly it gives a driver error every minute) attempted to launch games I have.

  I've updated the bios with the latest available from toshiba. It did not help.

  I ve checked the specs of the laptop and your laptop is NVIDIA N12M-GE-S 1 GB (DDR3) graphics card. Several models of Toshiba laptops have this card, but none of them are supported for Windows XP Home edition.

  I just bought the Satellite T130-02F and after choosing 32-bit operating system, I had the power to recharge the battery and then started to get 'to display driver errors"where the screen black flash and then flash back on.   My laptop screen is 15 inches and resolution 1024 x 768. He worked always good. Until I installed Windows XP SRV 2 once again. Now, the screen only works with 969 x 768 pixels.   Can you please check under display properties > settings > advanced > monitor, is there possibility to activate the option Hide modes that this monitor cannot display.

  If you want, save your data and reinstall OS with recovery CD. Check if your monitor is working properly and there is black band again.
