• Windows 10 won't download

  I downloaded the .exe file to upgrade to Windows 10, but when I click on it, a window pops up saying "Start download". I left alone for four hours. When I got home it was still points to rotation saying Download departure. I tried to download the .exe file again to ensure no error has occurred in the download, but something it prevents to move to the next step in the download process. Any help?

  It is a nagging problem.  I tried to help and change a variety of things in my preferences - changed my profile/access etc.  I need a little help from someone.

  Note: my laptop is a new HP (2 months), I have recently updated to IE 8, I'm using Vista and it is a 32-bit system.  This cell phone belongs to me and is for use personally and in a home base business (so I'm a college professor).

  I downloaded, a couple of weeks, a registry clean program AdAware and ran it... It was probably the time that feature automatic updates Windows Update stopped working.

  This is the problem and how to correct things now?  Should I reinstall my Windows Vista operating system or something?

  When you reinstall Windows correctly, you start from the CD. Is it
  what you were doing?

  If so, the installation starts formatting the disk for you, then all the
  your files are gone.

  And by the way, reinstalling Windows due to an infection by the virus is
  almost always way exaggerated. There are several very good anti-virus
  programs that could probably removed the virus for you.

  Hi, Ok on the Shockwave Flash Object Enabled and vs 10.1.102.64, I guess. It should be the same version as the Flash Player, you just installed.

  Yes, Flash Player appear in your add/remove. The Shockwave Flash Object is the ActiveX control that is in the IE addons and works with the Flash files that you listed. You have both listed.

  All the files Flash for IE and FF are correct.

  OK on the info on msconfig. The lower bar is the status bar system, with program icons? These are just shortcuts that you can use to start one of these programs. If you make a right click on Quicktime and open, then you can use it. Some users like the ones they use most frequently there instead of in the Start Menu. Harmless :-)

  Java will give a prompt when an update is available and the version latest update 23, you find now in Add/Remove.

  Check and see and if it is listed, then delete all the other listings of Java, then restart.

  As far as I know, no program updates automatically except if you have configured this way. Even Windows, you can choose to be notified. With msconfig or other programs, you can set your desired program starts. I left all load them at startup and don't worry in this regard. But that's just me :-)

  In summary, you now have Flash Player installed correctly as well as the Shockwave Flash for IE object. Everything about the Flash Player is correct.

  Take care of the above Java.
