Troubleshooting in devices and printers, where the phone displays as "Not specified Apple iPhone" generates a message saying that "Apple iPhone is an older USB device and may not work with USB 3.0 and plug it into a USB 2.0 port." But when I use USB 2.0 (I tried several times using each of the three USB ports on my PC), troubleshooting the error message says "Apple iPhone won't work correctly with USB 3.0." This seems to be a recent problem, since in March 2016, I could spend a few songs from my PC to my phone using iTunes.

  I wish I had some ideas of people who have experienced this problem, I find to be a more frustrating one.

  Well, you aren't the only one. This just freakin happened to me. I spent the last three hours with apple and Windows supports. Now I'm reinstalling Windows 10 by last resort of Windows support councils. I got the same message USB. In iTunes, under devices something removed my 5s and the iPad. But it remains 6 s wife. I tried my computers 2-(SS) 3.0 ports and 1 port 2.0 ordinary. I tried all four thinners cables I have. I will let you know the result of the Windows reinstall.

  If you go to iTunes/Edit/Preferences/reading and select 'Audio Direct' for 'use of Audio play '.  Then log off iTunes and back log and you should be able to hear through your headphones.  Good luck!

• problems with Windows Update 1511 iTunes

  Since the Windows 10 update around 1511 Windows I could not connect my iPad or iPhone to iTunes. The device is shown as connected in the Device Manager and I have updated the driver.   I updated iTunes and my iPhone to the latest updates (iOS 10 and all that is the iTunes one) and iTunes does not recognize my phone, but my computer recognize (I have a HP envy with Windows 10). I tried everything that looks like finding the Universal Serial Bus thing and turn off my limitations and download and redownloading iTunes.   I understand that you are not able to get iTunes to recognize your iPhone, now that you have updated your iPhone to iOS 10. That you have described here some quite impressive troubleshooting in-depth. Fortunately, however, it may well be a few additional things to try in this situation.

  I use a portable Win10. Recently, I installed iTunes (version 12.4) and plugged my new iPhone (iOS 9.3.2) SE in. My computer went on the usual sounds and a folder showing my phone in the windows Explorer appeared and my phone started to load.

  2. Plug in your device
  3. Locate Bus USB Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
     It is also possible that the device may appear under imaging devices, portable devices or other devices or as a device USB of MTB.
     
  4. Right-click and select software update of the driver...
  5. Click Browse my computer for driver software
  6. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
     C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
  7. Click on let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer
  8. Click on Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
  9. Click Next, then close and exit the Device Manager

  Or try to go back to the last version of iTunes that has worked for you. See the programs installation of iTunes to download links. If you roll back to 12.4.0.119 to 12.3.3.17 or 12.3.2.35, for example, then you will also need restore the database of the library in the manner described in the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library. The tip makes suggestions to reintroduce recent purchases, so at worst, you lose a few meters or a newly created playlist.
