  I'm trying to help a friend record Skype calls using a Blue Yeti mic. Windows 7 and Adobe Audition 5.5. He wants to record the mic signal as audio from Skype at the same time. • Why my sound in messenger and Skype but not in media player work or my music?

  Lately I'm encounter problems playing music on my desktop PC and my house. My desktop PC is x 64 bit my home PC is x 86. What they have in common is a NVidia card (7300 on my PC at home while 9600 on my desktop PC) and MoBo integrated Realtek Sound Chip. The systems are up-to-date, the drivers are updated via the automatic updates. When I feel his jerky, I reboot the comptuer (s) and its good to happen for a few hours. Sound is at once during playback of movies using Windows Media Center (on my house cause of PC I don't watch movies at work lol: D), when you listen to music using media player or Winamp.   For those who have this problem and want to see if this resolves for you too: Click on your start ORB, type "services", press on enter, find and restart the "Microsoft Antimalware Service.  Turn on real-time protection if it is always disabled and performed before.  Check your sound, and it should be fixed!

  I thank very you much for the suggestions!  Finally, some useful tips!

  I used FADS latency Checker and received peaks of 27,000 when he started to be choppy, 50 000 when it was quite rough, and really bad it had reached its maximum about 75 000 - 80, 000.

  So, does make sense that this service could cause problems?  This means that it is not a driver - correct problem?  If this isn't a Realtek driver problem then it is matter of microsoft and will be fixed - this is their service and software that appear to be the cause of the issue / conflict with the driver.  I guess it could be either a problem, but the realtek and microsoft can fix it if they want to!  It would be nice not having to do now almost every day just to use the sound

• 64-bit windows 7, I was able to install my programs probably 3 20 I used before, why is this? Ive tried the 64-bit versions designed for windows 7 and I tried compatibility modes.

  I don't really have much to say... ive got 64 bit and ive tried almost everything I can. Some examples of what I can't install that are designed to work for it: itunes, logitech g19 keyboard drivers, Alex Feinmans iso recorder. also one of my cd drives doesn't let me do anything, like install stiff from a disc or copy a cd, if theres encryption at all. my other cd drive not... Skype does not, or ventrillo. Steam and all games run so far, and crysis works but its editing tools only and designed for 64-bit only. I don't like windows 7 and I do not think that its faster, but what's the point of speed if I can't run anything?

  Drivers are specific, because 64-bit drivers are needed for 64-bit and X 86 (32-bit) systems drivers for this type of system.  X 86 applications run well on 64-bit if it does not involve drivers and software. You seem rather unlucky or unhappy.  What could have been encrypted by another user on another machine will most likely depending on what type of encryption, you talk about the problems.

  Often the trick to get installed programs is to right click on the configuration file and select the "Run as Administrator" option.  Another often overlooked trick is to disable temporarily the scanner in time real and other similar programs during installation.

  I had a new HP Pavillion Elite running Windows 7 and bought a HP Webcam HD 3110 which is supposed to have Skype compatibility (clearly indicated on the packaging).  The webcam came with a bunch of software (ArcSoft Magic - i Visual Effects2, ArcSoft Webcam companion 3, ArcSoft Connect and ArcSoft ShowBiz).

  When I turn on my webcam using the ArcSoft program it seems to work fine (I can see and record videos with sound). When I try to use Skype, the sound works fine (there is a microphone on the camera). In Skype, the video does not work and it gives me the message "cannot start video renderer. Make sure you have a valid installation of DirectX.

  I have the latest version of the driver for the webcam, I have the latest version of DirectX (version11) and the latest version of Skype (version 5.0.0.152). I tried to use "ManyCam" program that some people recommended, but it did not work. Anyone else have this same problem? Someone knows how to solve?

  I think HP has provided an update to the drivers of webcam which solves this problem... and Skype will include a fix soon.
