At the top of the page is a link to a page of six files. It is not clear which - if any - of them is the file which is the solution to the problem. Should this patch I install?

Hi mikerodino
1. What is the exact error you get when you try to install the update?
The hotfix in article KB935685 is supplied with the latest service pack of the operating system. I suggest you refer to the below link and get the latest service pack for windows vista. Check if install passes solve you the problem-

Fix pwd does not have to unpack the hotfix. I asked 4 times and tried manually and copy/paste. This is for the 64-bit patch. I can download and unzip the x 86 patch successfully, but I don't need that one (just a validation test).
I can't respond to the e-mail and I can't contact support because MSFT wants to charge for support. I want just a password that works for the 64-bit hotfix or a contact person. It's pretty ridiculous that there is no QA around that.
