Windows 7 guest fails after hibernation

Hello world

I'm having a strange problem with Windows 7 clients.  I'm using VMWare Workstation on a Windows 7 host 7.1.5.  The question is: if I use Hibernate (in the COMMENTS, not the host - and I'm talking about the option Windows 7 hibernation, not the option to sleep), the prompt appears to Hibernate.  However, try us I restart the VM, it never gets to the hibernation correctly.  He starts to lock Windows 7 screen, but when I connect comments screen is just blank. I get the cursor, but the screen is all black.  I can use CTL-ALT-INS to see Off switch of lock/user/Log screen / Change Manager password/Start of tasks Windows 7 comments, and I can select the Task Manager, but it never comes to the top (or at least, never shows), and I just saw the black screen.  Really, the only thing I can do at this stage is Shut Down by this time and re - start the virtual machine.  I tried this with Windows 7 Pro x 86 and Windows 7 Pro x 64 guests, and both have the same problem.

Someone had problems with Windows 7 guests where hibernation cannot be used?  Is there something I have to put in my computer to make it work?  Or hibernation of this type simply not supported by Workstation 7?

Thank you.

  • Windows 7 not resumed after Hibernation - tried all of the solutions out there

I have a HP pavilion Dv6t laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate.

    -Intel i7 2670qm

    -8 GB ram

    -700 GB HARD DRIVE
-AMD 7690mxt 1 GB graphics card

The Windows is preinstalled with the laptop. This laptop has already had 4 primary partitions reserved by Windows and HP recovery disks.

I need dual boot linux for development purposes, so I deleted one of the primary partitions. The partition that I deleted was the partition of 100 MB, I think, Windows uses to start and system for purposes of repair.

After deleting the partition of 100 MB, I ran Windows repair and I started correctly in Windows. Then I installed Ubuntu and it starts very well as well. The boot loader is now the Ubuntu one, I don't assume the cause of the problem.

    Now comes the problem.

When I put in hibernation in Windows, it hibernates correctly but using the Hibernate, I am presented with the message "Windows summary of Point of hibernation". I hit enter and Windows get stuck at Windows Startup logo. This can go for hours and hours remaining on the screen. I so force the shutdown of the laptop. Start the laptop I am presented with 2 options

    1. take out the point of hibernation

2 remove the point of hibernation and continue to the start screen

I select the option of delete will point and Windows starts but I lose all data saved with Hibernate.

Please help me solve this problem! It comes to my work machine.

  • Windows host, no connectivity after hibernation

I have the 4.0.1 on Win2008R2 host drive. The guest is Ubuntu 11.

After that the machine hibernated once host, the client loses network connectivity.

Ping between the hosts and guests does not (in fact, ARP doesn't), even locally on the host itself.

Neither host or guest detect any problem (see the command ipconfig/ifconfig correct addresses etc.).

After the restart, restores connection and everything seems fine until the next hibernation.

Is this a known problem with the Player or server 2008? No work around?

    Details:

-On a host of WinXP SP3 (where this virtual machine was created), this problem does not occur

-L' guest VM has a bridged with fixed address network interface. The host is on DHCP.

The host has no network problems.

    Network host adapter is RTL8168D (VEN_10EC & DEV_8168 & SUBSYS_D6128086 & REV_03)

-L' guest VM was created with Workstation 7.1.0

    Thank you

    Next time this happens, try

    net stop vmnetbridgenet start vmnetbridge

line control (or in a bach file) to see if that helps.

I just upgraded to 8.0.2 to 8.0.4, Workstation and now a Windows 95 client goes into a PXE boot, followed of an operating system not found error.  This machine virtual is a P-to-V and remained stable in Workstation 8.0 and through the ffrom 8.0 version 8.0.2 upgrade.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Try to rename C:\Users\Miscaf\Documents\Virtual Machines\Windows 95\Windows 95. nvram for Windows 95.nvram.old.  A new version should be created the next time that you start the virtual computer.  I don't know if this will help, but it is worth it.

    Hi Jason & florencedefermartel,.

You can check the manufacturer's website and try to update the Chipset and drivers display and check.

You can see the manual of the system manufacturer or contact the system manufacturer for more information on how to make the changes in the BIOS.

Note: Change to the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. • 10 Windows update fails after download: Code C1900204 or 80200053 (23 failures to date)

I use a desktop computer of homebrew who spent all the prerequisites for Windows 10 and is no longer able to run Windows 10.  I tried both the download and install later and update now options and both have the same results.  Windows 10 downloads at 100%, then he breaks down and goes to the error codes, see below.  I have 8.55 GB free on my disk C: (SSD) the default download folder is configured on a separate drive with 1.8 free to (where my Local and Roaming profile).  Is there a way I can just download the file and manually update through Windows Update, which will obviously NOT work?

My situation is a little unique because I am working in China.  My Windows7 enabled here and I tried to download and install with or without a VPN connection to the United States (VPN Express) and both have the same results, just to rule out the antics of Chinese ISP that happens here.  No other updates have already had a problem, see below.  Investigations led to patches for two codes listed above, C1900204 patches didn't work, try 80200053 such that it requires a reboot.  For this fix, I came across 2 questions:

    1. After the DLL has been loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found:

      1. Mshtml.dll
      2. Shdocvw.dll
      3. Browseui.dll
      4. qmgr.dll
Make sure that the "above" is a DLL or OCX valid and then try again
    2. Module following failed to load.  Make sure the binary is stored at the specified location, or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent file. DLL files.
      1. MSXML.dll
      2. Gpkcsp.dll
      3. Sccbase.dll
      4. Slbcsp.dll
      5. inipki.dll
      6. wuaueng1.dll
      7. c:\windows\system32\dllcache\wucltui.dll
      8. wuweb.dll
      9. c:\windows\system32\muweb.dll

My IE has not worked in years, and it seems that the foregoing could be part of the reasons.  Will change with no result of the patch released on the 80200053 and the installation of the Windows Update Agent.

  • Windows Activation failed after years of work

    Hello.

I bought my laptop 3 years ago. There were license version installed Windows (all stickers have been in their place). Over the years I did the regular system updates. I did re-install Windows. Has no repair of the laptop. ' ' But 23.12.12 after the regular update of the system told me that my version of Windows is not allowed - my product key "is used on another laptop or has been blocked by Microsoft. When I tried to enter the key again (as suggested by web page), he said that the key was not for Windows 7 Max.

Sorry for the quotes - Windows is in Russian.

This seems to be the code for Win 7 Pro, as expected - that explains why the system does not accept the key.

The probability is that the vondor deliberately obfuscated Version/edition data, knowing that they would be missing for a long time until the system has shown as non-authentique, and that they would get a higher price for a ultimate a Pro machine.

Or maybe someone has tried to apply an Express upgrade to ultimate using the stolen key.

In both cases, the necessary of Loader fails after an update (possibly SP1) removed some of its changes.

You will either need to reformat and reinstall Pro, or purchase a license full for Windows7 and exchange the key in (I could not recommend trying a direct upgrade to Win8 without knowing a lot more on the system)
