Windows host, no connectivity after hibernation

I have the 4.0.1 on Win2008R2 host drive. The guest is Ubuntu 11.

After that the machine hibernated once host, the client loses network connectivity.

Ping between the hosts and guests does not (in fact, ARP doesn't), even locally on the host itself.

Neither host or guest detect any problem (see the command ipconfig/ifconfig correct addresses etc.).

After the restart, restores connection and everything seems fine until the next hibernation.

Is this a known problem with the Player or server 2008? No work around?

Details:

-On a host of WinXP SP3 (where this virtual machine was created), this problem does not occur

-L' guest VM has a bridged with fixed address network interface. The host is on DHCP.

The host has no network problems.

Network host adapter is RTL8168D (VEN_10EC & DEV_8168 & SUBSYS_D6128086 & REV_03)

-L' guest VM was created with Workstation 7.1.0

Thank you

-pa

Next time this happens, try

net stop vmnetbridgenet start vmnetbridge

line control (or in a bach file) to see if that helps.

This problem can also occur when the power management profile turns off your network card.

You can try the following steps and check if it helps.

    a. click Start, type device manager in start search and press ENTER.

  • Windows 7 not resumed after Hibernation - tried all of the solutions out there

I have a HP pavilion Dv6t laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate.

    -Intel i7 2670qm

    -8 GB ram

    -700 GB HARD DRIVE
-AMD 7690mxt 1 GB graphics card

The Windows is preinstalled with the laptop. This laptop has already had 4 primary partitions reserved by Windows and HP recovery disks.

I need dual boot linux for development purposes, so I deleted one of the primary partitions. The partition that I deleted was the partition of 100 MB, I think, Windows uses to start and system for purposes of repair.

After deleting the partition of 100 MB, I ran Windows repair and I started correctly in Windows. Then I installed Ubuntu and it starts very well as well. The boot loader is now the Ubuntu one, I don't assume the cause of the problem.

    Now comes the problem.

When I put in hibernation in Windows, it hibernates correctly but using the Hibernate, I am presented with the message "Windows summary of Point of hibernation". I hit enter and Windows get stuck at Windows Startup logo. This can go for hours and hours remaining on the screen. I so force the shutdown of the laptop. Start the laptop I am presented with 2 options

    1. take out the point of hibernation

2 remove the point of hibernation and continue to the start screen

I select the option of delete will point and Windows starts but I lose all data saved with Hibernate.

Please help me solve this problem! It comes to my work machine.

  • Windows 7 guest fails after hibernation

    Hello world

I'm having a strange problem with Windows 7 clients.  I'm using VMWare Workstation on a Windows 7 host 7.1.5.  The question is: if I use Hibernate (in the COMMENTS, not the host - and I'm talking about the option Windows 7 hibernation, not the option to sleep), the prompt appears to Hibernate.  However, try us I restart the VM, it never gets to the hibernation correctly.  He starts to lock Windows 7 screen, but when I connect comments screen is just blank. I get the cursor, but the screen is all black.  I can use CTL-ALT-INS to see Off switch of lock/user/Log screen / Change Manager password/Start of tasks Windows 7 comments, and I can select the Task Manager, but it never comes to the top (or at least, never shows), and I just saw the black screen.  Really, the only thing I can do at this stage is Shut Down by this time and re - start the virtual machine.  I tried this with Windows 7 Pro x 86 and Windows 7 Pro x 64 guests, and both have the same problem.

Someone had problems with Windows 7 guests where hibernation cannot be used?  Is there something I have to put in my computer to make it work?  Or hibernation of this type simply not supported by Workstation 7?

    Thank you.

  • Wireless network is disabled by the hp connection manager after hibernation, sleep etc.

Wireless network is disabled by the hp connection manager after hibernation, sleep and sometimes when I use the computer. I can't see preferences in HP Connection Manager to fix this, or Windows power management.

What is the solution to keep the network wireless activated ALL THE TIME?

Edition of the HP Connection Manager does not work, so I can't activate wireless again!

    My computer:
    HP ProBook 4530 s (new)

Windows 7 Pro (included with the computer)

No other power or utilities wireless isn't installed, just the HP utilities installed at the factory.

In the hope of a quick solution.

    Thanks in advance.

    -Mikael Noerrelund, Denmark

There is a setting in Connection Manager > Preferences > power to the device , which CAN be assigned to turn off the wireless / Bluetooth when you have left the connection manager.  You must Select / SET parameter.  You can see, just in case...  I never heard talk of the Connection Manager turn off wireless, unless it was to make it to the exit.

You can do the following in the Device Manager to leave the power to the wireless and Bluetooth devices:

Control Panel > display icon > Device Manager > network adapters >

Right click on the WiFi link (Intel) (wording may vary) >

    in Properties > Powermanagement >

Clear the check BOX "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    Ok

    Do the same for Bluetooth...

    I hope this helps...

    • Immediately when the Dell logo appears, press the F12 key. The list of boot devices.

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    Hi Jason & florencedefermartel,.

You can check the manufacturer's website and try to update the Chipset and drivers display and check.

You can see the manual of the system manufacturer or contact the system manufacturer for more information on how to make the changes in the BIOS.

Note: Change to the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
