Windows 7 Mobility Center cannot turn wireless on. This typing of same good wireless network on another laptop.

I see is no longer the wireless network off the laptop.
Wireless network is good because I use another laptop with good signal just next door.
Looking at the display of windows Mobility Center, I can see the wireless network window that says wireless off but the turn wireless on button is grayed out so I can't click on it. I suspect the driver needs to be recharged, but don't know where to find. Any help?

Thanks for your reply. I couldn't find a physical switch anywhere so I uninstalled/reinstalled the driver RF by the troubleshooting Web site emachines. Everything is good...

  • Intel WiFi Link 5100 network card - cannot detect wireless networks

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-1270us. My wireless card is an Intel WiFi Link 5100.

Running Windows Vista 64 bit, Ubuntu Linux, Linux Mint and Fedora Linux (various versions, all), the wireless works fine. My desktop computers to work with wireless cards to connect to the network work very well, and all computers (except mine) to connect to my home network very well; which means that it is not a problem with wireless networks, or with my network card. I try to manually connect to the network, but it can't find it. Diagnosis requires that the card is disabled, and that I should turn it on via the switch on my laptop running: fact.

During the installation of Windows 7 64 bit, I cannot see wireless networks (and therefore unable to connect). Re-formated and reinstalled again, check the wireless connectivity between each batch of Windows Update, but it has never worked.

I downloaded the latest drivers from Intel, via Microsoft Compatibility Center (version 15.2.0 driver).

There is no system restore option because he has never worked as a first step, except in all other OS, I got on the computer. Microsoft Compatibility says the map is compatible, then Device Manager shows no problems. The network adapter is active via switch on my laptop.

Happy that you guessed it sorted!

  • My office wireless icon is x'd - cannot detect wireless networks.

My computer screen suddenly went black this evening - the monitor was still, the fans were still humming, but it was totally insensitive.

I forced a stop, and when I rebooted the computer, my wireless icon has been x'd out. My computer cannot detect wireless networks (there are a half-dozen or more in my building). I tried a good stop and restart, but the problem was still there.

The Network Diagnostics tool told me to check the router, so I did--but all other devices in the House are connected very well. I thought it would be a malware, so I ran a MalwareBytes scan, which turned up nothing. Then I reinstalled the drivers from the card WLAN - no luck there.

System Restore has not solved the problem. ipconfig says "media state: disconnected ' for my WIFI adapter, but I don't know how to fix this. In the devices, the Broadcom WLAN card Manager, he says "this device is functioning correctly.

I work from home, so it is important that I can access my wireless. Help, please!

  • New just installed Windows Vista, unable to connect to wireless networks

So a few months ago my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6) fell from my bed and the hard drive was messed up, so I'm a computer geek friend to replace my hard drive and put a new operating system on it, he had no activation key. In any case, after I came back it was working fine and I was able to use the internet by connecting to public networks, but every time I would connect to my computer it asked me to activate it. And finally I got so bored with being bugged that I decided to buy a new product key, so that he'd stop bugging me. So I bought a new Windows Vista Home premium operating system and when I received it in the mail, I installed correctly and put in the product key and active it and all that much good but whenever I try to connect to the internet that it says "Windows cannot find wireless networks" and when I click on "Diagnose this problem" he says "this computer does not have an install_ adapter of» configured wireless network. and then it gives me options troubleshooting that brings me at all because most of them consist in some way to update my drivers online, but I can't online my laptop to update! and all the other solutions are just confused. Is there a reason why my "driver" would stop working AFTER you install Windows Vista? Or is there some way I can uninstall the operating system and just use the one I had before? Help please!

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

    See you soon.

  • PROBLEM! Cannot view wireless networks!

Hi, I am currently running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my office and cannot view wireless networks!

I tried to use two wireless adapters and both show active although they cannot show all networks.
LAN works perfectly well and when I try to add a wireless network, it is said "an unexpected error has occurred."
I have updated drivers for two adapters to the correct version wireless and little. No yellow icon in the Device Manager.
I also checked to see if power saving has been enabled for the device and power options that are disabled.
Two wireless adapters are using a USB port, not PCI. I abandoned everything simply! I need some advice on how to solve this problem! I can provide more information if necessary. But please help me with this problem :(
I also disabled anti virus software and my firewall!
The wireless adapter, I am using is the:
TRENDnet TEW-649UB Wireless USB adapter N speed

    UPDATE! :
We have some progress I uninstalled all the previous windows updates and can now see wireless networks (such as firewall/AV). The problem I have now is that when I try to connect it said "Windows could not connect. He also says in the settings of cards tab my wireless adapter is "authentication attempt.

    Hi Tatiana,

    ·         Have you tried to install the drivers from the manufacturer's Web site?

    ·         Have you checked if the network card works on another computer?

Download drivers card network from the manufacturer's website and check manually.

    http://www.TRENDnet.com/downloads/list_subcategory.asp?SUBTYPE_ID=1353

Alternatively, you can deal with this problem due to security software. I suggest that disable you the security like anti-virus and firewall software and check if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Call the helpline for the manufacturer of your network adapter. It is likely that neither Windows nor the router have problems, it's just a matter of getting the configuration on both put in place settings to work properly together. The manufacturer of the router will be the best resource to learn how to configure their device.

  • Satellite T135D - cannot detect wireless networks

    I bought a T135D early January.
Everything was happy until one day my laptop decides it cannot detect wireless networks, and even less to connect to one.
I don't think the T135 came with a manual switch, while in the BIOS it says it's on.

The graph with the antenna and 4 bars charge is no longer at startup, or the light that lights up on the front of my laptop. It's frustrating to have this kind of problem so early in the game with the T135D.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

The wireless network must be activated by pressing the FN + F8 key combination.
    Have you tried that?

    If not, please check it

Of course, you must make sure that the WLan card driver is always up to date.

Sorry to hear that you have to connect to a wireless network adapter trouble.

To help you further on this subject, it would have been really helpful for us if you had

Please I really need help, how do I get my laptop to detect the wireless network. If someone could give me a few steps to do, please.

Most laptops have a switch that turns the wifi radio on or off.  Often, it is a combination of the Fn key and one of the F keys.  It may be a physical switch somewhere on the laptop.  See your manual for details.

    If this isn't the problem...

What is the brand and model of your router?  Almost all wifi routers also have at least one Ethernet port, you can connect your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable and download the right driver for your http://www.asus.com/support wireless card
Have you tried to "Roll back driver" in the "Driver" tab of your adapter wifi 'properties' in Device Manager?  At the very least, determine which version of the driver is installed, and compare that to the current version on the asus support site.

    Hello

If everything checked OK wise network, and you have mentioned before: ' sfc/scannow' in the command as administrator prompt and it said "windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to trouble".

It is perhaps that some kernel files are corrupted and cannot be updated.

    Refresh the Installation of XP.

To be safe, back up your data and some special stuff to a flash drive.

    ----------------------------------

Boot from the original XP CD. Pass the first screen offering Console repair and proceed as if you install a new XP.

After accepting etc., the new Setup screen lights up and would detect the current XP installation.

You have an option to press R to repair.

Use it, would take about 45 min. and you would an Installation of XP refresh all by keeping your Application, data and XP configuration.

P.S. If you have made changes to the WinXP definition (special permission as firewall) security to look on them after the update because they could go back to the default value.
