Windows 7 - no real

Greetings,

I have a client with what appears to be a PC to measure (no brand) of 4 years. It is currently running Windows 7 Ultimate (64), but there is no stickers of any kind on the case MS.

When installing an inverter for the PC, I discovered that it was automatic updates disabled and no updates had been executed on the PC never. Manually, I applied all updates urgent/important traffic and left the PC working fine. The next day, the user (an old woman) reported to me that she now gets the error message that the Windows version does not seem be authentic. I can't get the activation key because it has not the paperwork that came with the PC (as far as I know, there are not). So I don't know even what would have been the key. I tried to use another utility to find the key, but he also reports that there is none, and Windows is not activated.

I saw several other posts about it with a lot of suggestions on how to fix. What I was wondering is: version could be legitimate throughout and have disabled automatic updates could have removed this problem?

Any suggestions on how I can fix without knowing the key?

Thank you in advance.

As Gerry says the installation is a counterfeit.

(1) the motherboard is a Gigabyte detail, one

(2) the installed key is the infamous key stolen of the Lenovo - blocked even before the release of Windows 7.

(3) the table apparently SLIC in BIOS is a HP computer - and may indeed be present on a motherboard retail.

All this means that Activation operation is present to join the mess and bypass activation and validation of requirements.

You must reformat and reinstall using authentic materials and key

Right, I just activated Vista Business 64-bit with the key on the certificate of authenticity. It seemed to work very well, and there is no problem.

Seems he could have simply a typo, but I would not have expected it from Microsoft.

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)
(Avira would be my 3rd choice after that).

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leave the file system, Web,.
Operational network (Script and behavior are also recommended in Ver 6 +).

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
    right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 6.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 6.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
    disabled - click OK

Avast 4.8 x - home - free - stop shields, you don't need except leaving Standard, Web,.

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

  • What is my Windows OS intalled real factory version?

I bought my new laptop through the online shop HP in India during the 14 game. His 15-n209TX HP Pavilion Notebook PC with the F6C49PA model number. His card on the site Web HP India, said the factory installed the operating system as Windows 8.1 (http://www8.hp.com/in/en/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=6537621#! = sheet tab) .
When I got my system, verified & checked the details of the OS in the Properties tab in the file Explorer, is to win 8.1 written. But the logo on the page shows the version of Windows 8. Is it normal to be like that, even if Windows 8.1 is installed? The box in which cell was sent to me by HP had a sticker describing the plug & items in the box, in which he wrote OS installed in Windows 8.
So now, I met a damaged software tool recently that has been confirmed by HP support assistant. So if I do a system update now, my system would roll back to 8.1 for Windows or Windows 8?
    Please help me out here.

    Hey PeerOne

Found the solution for this now. I entered the BIOS setup as boot, in there, was a column indicating that the preinstalled OS. Its written Windows 8.1. I think that gives the solution for this query.

    Thank you

  • Would like to know the difference between a < removed > activated Windows and a real

    I have a neighbour.

He had a not activated copy of windows. He putted up some stuff on the net as and downloaded a software.

He told me to activate windows within seconds.

Boom! in a few seconds and displays as Windows is activated.

On the other hand, I have an OEM version of windows that is authentic dishes.

I couldn't spot any difference between mine and his copy of windows. However, it has activated it illegally and I have a legal copy.

Could someone clarify please, would be very grateful.

The difference is that you have a legally activated Windows version and the neighbor does not work. The version of neighbours of Windows can work as well as your version legally activated, but it still falls into the category of piracy.

  • Windows VISTA no real Build 6002 message after Windows updates

To start the message was superimposed in the lower right corner "this copy of Windows is not genuine". I think there's a quick activation was wearing popup at startup I caught a glimpse of. I did a scan with Avast boot time, which is a malware/gen inside old Western Digital MyBook utility zip installation file, I got avast delete (I did use the device, since it stopped working 2 years ago).

I started in safe mode, done rstrui.exe, selected a restore point on 30 December 2011, which was PRIOR to an installation of Windows Update, but after the download. After restoration, virus definitions updates, boot time scan with Avast... the zip file of WD to the old address will not flagged as infected (but I deleted later anyway). Even now, Windows is genuine.

Updates automatically installed after the reboot:

Windows Defender Update - KB915597 definition 1.117.1973.0 definition... Note that this appears as installed December 30, 2011 also.

I have disabled the automatic updates of Windows installation. Here are the updates waiting to be installed...

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 KB2656353

    [same] 2.0 SP2 KB 2656362

    [same] 3.5 SP1 KB 2657424

    [even] 4 KB 2656351

If the problem "not genuine" do not resurface, I will apply these updates, reboot and see if the problem can be reproduced. Finally, unless a problem with updates is identified. I kind of doubt the updates were the issue, but just eliminate the variables.

"Virus found by avast was almost certainly a false positive - the file two years ago, then he must have been scanned hundreds of times since and probably spent every time.

A Non-genuine message may appear as a result of a "race condition" where a number of processes is competing for resources or files - and the Service for the Protection of software is one of them. This causes a notification to appear, which often diappears on its own later or at the next startup.

Unless the notification remains standing thanks to a couple of boots, I worry too much on this subject.

My preference for the .NET updates is to install them separately, one at a time, to reduce the risk of conflict. You must also leave the machine for about 10 minutes after the restart of an update of .NET, because it often takes some time to "optimize" the installation later.

  • Problem with Windows 7 in real

Today, for the 1st time, I got the message that my windows 7 is not genuine.

I tried different legal remedies on the internet without success, including them will 'Properties' under 'My computer' and trying to activate my version of windows 7.

So I did a "System Restore" last week.

After the reboot, I clicked on my computer, right click on properties, then clicked "Activate Windows", and it actually worked! It enabled.

But I looked at the ID of the product and it does not match what I had written before down during my first installation of Windows 7.

Can someone tell me if this is correct, perhaps because it produces a different product on each activation ID?

If not, should I be by clicking on "Change product key" and enter the key code

that came with my Windows 7.

    Michael

What I'm trying to say is: automatic update install it Windows on Windows 8 8.1, because I don't want to install 8.1 due to problems earlier when I installed a few months ago and had to restore my pc.

You get first Windows 8.1 store not Windows update, you have physically accept the download so that it can be installed. You can get banners advise upgrade you to 8.1 Windows but don't at this stage. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

Where have you bought the computer?

The product key is more on a label on the computer. It is built into the BIOS.

The computer must have been activated when you receive it.
