  I built my computer about 4 + years ago and installed Windows 7 Ultimate and worked fine until recently.  One of the disks on the raid disk doesn't have that I replaced.  Since, I've been making a problem of Windows Activation, I assumed that the product ID is somehow linked to the serial number of the hard drive and that is why he does not.

  When you try to use a MAK to activate one or more computers, you may receive the following error message:

  The activation server reported that the Multiple Activation key has exceeded its limit.

  Cause

  The MAK has exceeded the activation limit. By design, MAKs have a limited number of activations.

  Workaround

  Contact the product activation call center to obtain a new MAK or to increase the limit on the existing MAK activation.

  What type of license you have?

  If you have an OEM or FPP product, then you should have your license key on your computer or on the packaging. Contact the Microsoft Activation Center to find out if your product key is valid:

  1. click on start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

  2. press enter on your keyboard

  3. Select your country.

  4. take the phone activation option and brace yourself for a real person.

• Real problems of Yosemite VMWare Windows 7

  We have two iMacs this morning began to have problems with Windows 7 and VMWare Yosemite.  When Windows 7 would not longer work, we were in Yosemite and VMWare 6 (something).  So we have updated for VMWare 7 then Windows 7 wanted to open with their routine to repair Windows, being that we had, had to kill Microsoft using the VMWare Shut Down menu drop-down force quit Windows, because Windows 7 was frozen.  When the computer reboots, Microsoft Windows 7 is out looking for a solution and ran and ran, never find.  Another thing that we have noticed that to get a visual feedback as get a progress bar to move or wheel current rotation to move, you have to keep your mouse moving, it seems.  It is like the software of sleep or times out if the mouse does not move, or at least Visual does, but the software will finally get to where it is supposed to go if left alone for a long period of time.  Long story short Windows 7 when you finally land that it is very slow and done strange things, as you type a letter in a field of network connection and it will put 5 to 10 characters.  We go from 08:00 at 12:25 this morning trying to get things to work and still do not have running rights.  Windows 7 has all the updates, VMWare 7, and Yosemite are all installed.  It seems to be a very real problem that must be fixed.

  I found that for some reason if you install Yosemite before updating you VMware it crashes.

  The difference is that you have a legally activated Windows version and the neighbor does not work. The version of neighbours of Windows can work as well as your version legally activated, but it still falls into the category of piracy.

• Windows 7 Home Basic real problem

  I bought a Lenovo Thinkcentre all in one office that was preloaded with Windows 7 Home Basic Edition. The retailer said that it is preloaded with genuine windows. I downloaded Windows Activation Technologies show that "this computer is not running genuine windows" but when I go into the properties of my computer, it shows that windows is activated. There is also an OEM license with me. I also have the product key with me. It is always showing that this computer is not running genuine windows and which is making my computer performance by slowing it down. Any suggestions?

  Andre is right, run the system (sfc/scannow) File Checker and the utility chkdsk (chkdsk /f r).

  -I can't go through this loop to see if the network connection is active and connected to the internet.  I have to assume it's (hard wired and wireless).
  -I CAN start in Mode safe mode without network support.  I am able to run diagnostics for MGA (results below).
  -The real MS product sticker is attached and filled then number in the diag MGA results.
  -J' I run chkdsk and there is no problem.
  -I can't find restore points even if the system has worked to restore the system.
  -I get an error CODE.
  -Machine has been used for more than 30 days.

  I have a Toshiba laptop, has problems with the firewall and had to take it to get fixed and when I got back with him all my stuff on Microsoft Word is "locked." I can't access any of my stuff out there, it's wanting to enter me an activation code to activate it. My laptop came with Windows Vista already installed and when I received the product key on the back of my computer to activate it again once it says it is incorrect.

  Is there anything else I should do? The only disc that came with the computer is one that installs everything here from scratch, I need to use?

  If you mean that you can not turn on, try to do it manually:

  To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

  I bought a Lenovo ThinkCentre second hand on eBay UK (I live in the United Kingdom) a year ago, and I barely noticed a typo in on the Microsoft COA, stuck on the side of the computer. This machine came with Windows Vista Business installed, but I think a typo in 'WIndows' is a very rare case. I have not yet tested the product key.

  Right, I just activated Vista Business 64-bit with the key on the certificate of authenticity. It seemed to work very well, and there is no problem.

  Seems he could have simply a typo, but I would not have expected it from Microsoft.

• HP ENVY 700-349 Desktop PC: Windows 10 activation issues

  So, I have recently reinstalled windows 10 on my computer (from Windows 10 Windows 10 once again) and I wiped my HARD drive, so it can reformat properly for the installation of windows. After installation I then needed to reactivate my windows and putting in my product key after searching physically inside and everywhere in my computer I can't find any key to activate my windows licenses. (When I bought my computer there was windows 8 and then I upgraded to windows 10 free no problem) I'm currently sucks, thank you.

• The Back button only allows me to return a page at a time instead of select a previous page from a drop-down list. It is a real problem: someone has any ideas?

  In the previous version of Firefox, I could go back to a previous page by clicking on a part of the previous button which brought up a list of recently visited sites and clicking on one of them, might go back to this page. This installation does not seem to be available in the latest Firefox, and the back button only goes back one page at a time. It's really embarrassing, like,

    it now takes longer to get to an earlier page
    there is no visibility of previous pages visited

  Whenever I have install the last update for windows Vista Edition home premium, the locks on my computer and I need to format it to use it again.   To resolve this problem, follow these steps, one after the other. Start your Pc in safe mode and do a system recovery, a SFC scan and reinstall updates.

  How to start in safe MODE

  1. Restart your computer if it is running.
  2. Press the F8 key after your computer powers initially.
  3. Once you see the menu Advanced Startup Options , you can stop tapping.
  4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
  5. Select Safe Mode with network and press enter.
  6. You should see loading drivers and then Please wait.
  7. You should then be on the Welcome screen.

  Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

• Windows Update Causes startup problem

  I have an interesting problem with Windows Update (or apparently is from Windows Update). I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit, if that info is needed. There are two updates I have not install, as I am not sure that is the cause. The updates in question are Internet Explorer 8 and Windows Defender definitions 1.63.604.0. Here's what's happening.

  When you restart after Windows updates, the computer starts with a black screen with a mouse pointer. That's all. Happened every time I tried to start after the pdates. I can reboot into SafeMode very well, is apparently a problem driver or update.

  I also installed DivX on the computer, but it seemed to work as I could watch .avi via WMP thereafter, so I excluded. I thought that if there was a problem with it, it would not have worked in the first place, but I thought it was interesting.

  In any case, the only solution I found doing a system restore and do not install updates day or DivX, since technically I don't know which is the cause. I had to restore the system 3 times already and I didn't continue to do because this computer was very expensive and I don't want to ruin the hardware or something.

  Someone knows something about an error with updates, or perhaps with DivX that may have caused this. The computer works fine without the updates or DivX, I just want to know what could be the real problem so if it is only one of the 3, I can install the other two at least.

  Change your update settings, install the updates one at a time, hide the problem:

  Click Start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

  > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

  I have just re-blocked my Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3 now, it will not be activated Windows. It gives me an error 32777-impossible to establish a connection with the activation server.
