Windows 7 not compatible w Scrabble, missing wing32.dll

I have Windows 7 and can no longer play Hasbro Scrabble CD.  Wing32.dll missing file.  Compatibility modes do not work.   Couldn't this OS was designed to be backward compatible?  I see many people have compatibility problems with programs they like to use.  I am not happy with windows 7.  I understand that these problems come from 34 bit v 64 bit OS.  A difficulty any would be nice.  Any ideas?

Looks like it will not happen.
I have some old games I like to play from 95 to 98 days. I could get some of them to run XP and on Vista, Windows 7 is a step to go and there is nothing to do will change that.

With Windows XP Professional X 64 expire, what is the replacement? Windows 8 not compatible.

Windows XP 64-bit is one of those odd elements that does not quite fit in.  It is based on the code of Windows Server (hence why it only goes back to the SP2 not SP3 as Windows XP did) so it is - upgrade (for purchase in any case) options are limited.  Frankly - Windows XP 64-bit is one of these products, most people should have just skipped (in my opinion) - and with this in mind - the replacement for those running it should be to get Windows Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64-bit or 64-bit Windows 8.  It there just will be no discount to do on monetary incentive plan.

My suggestion - if your system is good enough, compatible, etc. and you actually * needed * to upgrade (it's not like YOU all just because Microsoft will stop their support extended to it in 2014 - big deal?)  Download Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and clean install.  You can use the free Windows XP (32 bit) MOU to run many older programs, you have * if * you have one that cannot be run under Windows 7 or with the compatibility mode.

In addition - get an unknown computer (for you).  You can find a lease one or something with Windows 7 64-bit, probably for the same amount you'd pay for a version non - OEM Windows 7, pay a little more and you'll probably have a machine that could handle Windows 8 - If you wish.  ;-)

  • Windows 7 not compatible with the Epson Stylus Photo R380

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R380 printer connected via USB to my Windows XP desk top.  I also have a laptop Windows 7, I want to share the printer.  I find that the drivers are not compatible.  Are there workarounds?   Thank you

Windows 7 is not inconsistent with the Epson Stylus Photo R380 (if anything, it would be the other way around).  The link shows that it should 'work' with Windows 7.

You may indeed need to connect the printer (directly) to the Windows 7 system once to get the appropriate drivers installed before trying to share your desktop Windows XP out to the other system on the network.  No guarantee it will work on the network like that - but I don't see why he wouldn't.

Hardware support always comes from the manufacturer of the equipment, regardless of the operating system that you choose to run.  If a hardware manufacturer decides that they will not put the drivers for a device after a given operating system or even a service pack on an operating system - it is their prerogative.  It has nothing to do with the operating system, or those who made the operating system.

    You have 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?

If all goes well a part of which will take you to where you need to be.  In the end, however, do not forget it is the hardware manufacturer who takes in charge (or not) your hardware (for all other devices that comes up for.)

  • No product key for Windows 7 Ultimate on laptop second hand. Windows 8 not compatible. What are the options?

A friend of mine bought a computer with Windows 7 Ultimate laptop second hand on it and it has not been activated, and it is not a product key (even the old one is worn and unreadable). It was originally a XP system and it cannot be upgraded to Windows 8 because it is not compatible. Is it possible that he could buy a product key so that it is activated and genuine? I don't want him to enter in some affliction, and I feel partly responsible because I was the one who told him to do and was not with him to look over the first! I feel really bad, because it doesn't have a lot of money and I should have been there when it was sold. I have a Windows 7 professional full version box, but I really need for my own system. Are there any alternatives? Please give me some GOOD news because I feel really rotten over this. ) :

    Thank you

    BAT

The only alternative would be to buy a license Windows 7 Ultimate full version or a version complete edition cheaper such as Windows 7 Edition Home Premium and make a custom installation:

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate

Apart from that, the only other option would be to contact the computer manufacturer for a Windows XP Recovery disk. Which I doubt they still provide.

  • Missing wing32.dll trying to play the Monopoly game

What version of windows you have 32-bit or 64-bit, and this game in particular?

The game is listed on this site as being compatible or not?

You can try to run the game / or its Setup program in XP compatibility mode in XP SP3 (W98se or if its a game of that old) that help can run. Assuming you manage to download it.

WRT "wing32.dll", this has helped with a game when the wing32.dll file was actually in the folder "wing" on the game disc:

"Explore the games cd (or the image) and go to the"wing"folder and copy the file wing32.dll and place it either in your installation folder (1) games (designating the exe file to start the game) or if this does not work, then try system32 of windows (2) and in the folder. syswow64 folder.

    Help please.

    David Watters

I also have tapes of the difficulties in one of my email addresses I get the answer that there is a problem and giving the code number 55

    Help, please!

    David Watters

    Hi David,

What version of Windows are you using?

I don't know why you want to spend money on McAfee when you can get the MSE, which is far superior, for free.  In any case if you want to keep McAfee, you need to talk to them.  Try here: http://www.mcafee.com/us/about/contact-us.aspx.

For the e-mail problem, you must contact that your e-mail service provider (Comcast, Verizon, Yahoo, Hotmail,...) and discuss the problem with them.  They should be able to determine if this is a problem at their end or a problem with your installation and help you set up correctly.  This is especially true if you can successfully connect to other e-mail accounts.  It may have been hijacked or their server may be down.  What gives Code 55 and exactly when does it occur?  Provide the word accurate and complete error message including all codes.  What type of program you use to access this email account?  This program accesses other accounts of e-mail successfully?

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • A6525UK: Pavilion upgrade Vista to Windows 7 not compatible NVidia Drivers?

I have a Pavilion model A6525UK I wanted to update to Windows 7 premium 32 VistaHome.

I ran advise upgrade of Windows 7, which told me to download the latest driver for the Nvidia nForce ethernet 10/100mps before you start the installation of Windows 7.

I have been in contact with the Nvidia customer service and got this response

    Hello:

The information you received from Nvidia is incorrect.

It is indeed a updated driver chipset from Nvidia, which updates the driver ethernet, you can upgrade to W7.

W7 is not on the drop-down list for the download of the driver, but when you select Vista, it shows that the driver is also good for W7.

    Here it is... 32 bit...

This is a file from an obsolete Direct3D mode. It is no longer included in the versions of DirectX for Windows Vista, 7 and later versions.

It's weird that you get for Motocross Madness, who should not use retained Mode. But you should be able to fix the error by using the same method as in the guide for this game:
