Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Media Player 12 arrested .asx stream streaming
I used to be able to radio live stream (.asx) via Firefox and IE. Then one day it just stopped working.
When I copy the link from the source and opened a new tab/window it just says: "connecting to the media...." »
My other computer running Vista that is not all the problems streaming the station so I know it isn't the site.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with Media Player 12.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Eric
Hi Eric,.
From your description, I understand that Windows media player does not work.
1. are you able to play Windows media audio and video files with Player stored on your computer?
2. don't you make changes before the show?
Method 1: Run the Troubleshooter:
Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter
Step 1: Uninstall and reinstall Windows media Player from windows turn on or off windows features
a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.
b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
c. find multimedia and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
d. restart the computer
Step 2. Reinstall Windows Media Player:
a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.
b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
c. find the multimedia functions and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.
d. restart the computer.

HP Pavilion Slimline s3760in D: need help in Clean install Windows 10 pro 64-bit?
Hello
For the past few months I am running windows 10 pro where I had to upgrade windows 8.1 pro 32 - bit windows 10 pro 32-bit. If my system is activated in windows 10 pro and it is authentic.
When I checked in the type of system, it says operating system 32-bit, x 64 processor. 4 GB RAM only 3.12 GB of RAM is usable.
This means that my processor supports 64-bit operating system. That's why I intend to clean windows install 10 pro and install the 64-bit version so that I can use all 4 GB of RAM.
That's why went into a tool for creating media and downloaded Mediacreation Toolx64 but when I try to launch the app it shows error "this app cant run on your pc. But Mediacreation tool for 32 bit gently. According to me, given that my current OS is 32-bit so mediacreation toolx64 is not running.
So I was wondering if I run 32-bit tool mediacreation and choose 'create multimedia installation for another pc' and chosen architecture (32-bit and 64-bit) times, then the clean installation of windows pro 10 OS will I have the option to choose between the version 64-bit and 32-bit version?
[2] already my windows 10 pro is active in 32-bit version, I get a product key error when I clean install 10 pro for the 64 bit version of windows?
[3] will be my windows 10 64-bit pro is activated? Since my windows 10 pro turned in a 32-bit version.
Microsoft memo said "Your PC will activate online automatically as long as the same edition of Windows 10 has been activated successfully on this PC using the free Windows 10 upgrade offer."
HI Varadar,
You're right, you choose the installation program of the media creation tool that corresponds to your current system, but create a support for another PC and select 64-bit or both. I would choose 64-bit.
Yes, what you plan should work. Once you have upgraded to Windows 10 32 - bit and Windows checked 10 32 - bit is set, you can use Media Setup to switch to Windows 10 64 - bit. But... I could ask you to wait a month. It was reported on the sites a Updatefor Windows 10 is expected in November. This update will include some changes and corrections that we have already published to our group of insiders test. The recent blog post is hereand scroll to the bottom of reading on the Activation stuff. We also wrote about the changes, including the news of your task in our own forum.
What do you think should work now today, if there is no problem or bug there is no backup. But if you wait a bit, then the backup as explained will use your Windows 8.1 Pro key into your HP motherboard.
I hope this helps,
Charles

DownGrade Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on 4540 s HP Probook Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Hello
can someone tell me the correct procedure to downgrade pre-installed 64-bit Windows 8 Pro that came on my laptop 4540 s newly purchased to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit? Machine itsself comes not with any media. I also read the key is now also integrated into the BIOS. As I intend to replace the 500 GB HDD with a SSD 250 GB, I would like to re - install windows 7 at the same time. I know that you can download the vanilla windows versions 7 of m6mobile.fr and others and then install but I wanted to know if there was a formal process for HP machines. It would be also good to know that the process of extraction of the COA, so I can activate Windows 7 installation completed.
I am based in the United Kingdom (and an employee of HP)
(it seems I'm not the only one having this problem - I guess this method works http://www.pcworld.com/article/2015107/downgrading-from-windows-8-to-7-what-you-need-to-know.html?pa... )
but before could someone confirm that part "call microsoft" will be ok for me if I have no physical cost... also what can I do if I have not a pro windows 7 product key to enter during the installation of windows 7 - because obviously I intend to use the rights to downgrade to windows 8 pro key!).
advice appreciated.

Ok...
so having figured out that I can downgrade sounding MS I took the lead and mounted my new SSD drive and installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Everything is good. What I need now is some of the correct drivers to get me going.
If someone could point me to the right for the following, I'd be grateful so I don't waste time to download everything. My version is HP Probook 4540 s C4Y79EA (i5-3210/4 GB RAM/15.6 inches) model British.
Some of the choices pilot have several versions of pointers to good enjoyed.
It is mainly in the field of the network drivers for the Wifi and fixed ports.
Thank you.
I determined what hardware is in this model.
WIFI/Bluetooth - download drivers Ralink
Ethernet card integrated - download the Realtek drivers.
The rest should be pretty straigtforward...
Cheers.

I have a windows xp pro 64 - bit PC. I would like to install windows xp pro sp3 32-bit. This is a PC that was used in our Engineering Department and now will be sent to a standard user in our society. I went through the installation and when I enter the product key on the COA label a message that is not valid. Do I need a different product key to install the 32-bit version of XP?
A Windows XP 64-bit product key will not work with Windows XP 32-bit installation media. You would need a genuine Windows XP 32 - bit product key. Carey Frisch

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.
It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.
Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

Can't download Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Disc Images (ISO files) with the license product key
A few months ago, I bought a laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit pre-installed, used with supplied installation disc. There is a hologram sticker COA affixed to the laptop with a product key. I used this key to activate the phone without problem. I was then able to install SP1 and various other updates over time.
Recently, I decided that I should have a Windows installation disc (Windows Update has slowed to a crawl and doesn't, and I maybe to repair or reinstall it with the disk).
I have entered my product key on Microsoft Web page to 'Download the Windows 7 disc Images (ISO files)'. But I got an error message:
"The product key you have entered seems to be for software pre-installed by the manufacturer of the device. Contact the manufacturer of the software device for recovery options. »
Running 'Winver' shows that my product is authorized.
Running "slmgr.vbs - dli" shows the partial product key and license status "allowed."

Reinstall Windows 7 Pro 64 bit after failure SSD
The SSD in my HP laptop is not this weekend. He had installed on it when I bought Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. How can I reinstall the operating system, because I don't have the original OS installation key? Surely I don't have to buy a new OS. In fact, I plan on upgrading Windows 10 once that I get it upward and running.
At the same time, I remember being able to call a technician at Microsoft, explain the situation and get a new key issued. Is it still possible?

Need to download & install a new copy of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit for strongly modified pc OEM
Original of the hard drive has crashed, please download & install a new copy of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on new SSD. I updated day/has replaced most of the OEM parts to 4 + years except for the motherboard, power supply, & tour. I don't have the old parts, sort of recovery disk installs not successfully because of all the improvements. Have drivers for devices newer than all existing parts on a USB ready when necessary. OEM is telling me to go up the PC with its original components to make it work, and I really don't need all the unnecessary software OEM includes in their recovery disk. Microsoft Download site does not allow me to download from a pc OEM product key. How to solve this? I'm always in the respect of the Windows license agreement, so I don't have to pay for it. Please advise, thank you

Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) has no install the AHCI Driver
When I built my current computer system in May 2011, I have not encountered this problem with installing 64-bit Windows 7 Pro on the new 500 GB Western Digital HARD drive. In fact, I installed Win7 three times (to wipe the drive with DBAN after the first and second installs) before I was satisfied with the third installation.
Before the first installation, I configured the BIOS of card mother Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 (Maj) SATA AHCI (with SATA 3.0) and copy the driver AHCI of CD Gigabyte on a SanDisk Cruzer USB (4 GB). The GA-890FXA-UD5 (revision 2.1, version of the F6 BIOS) has an AMD chipset.
During each installation, the Win7 Installer reported that she could not find a HARD drive and offered the option to load a driver. I used this option, and the installation program displays a dialog box with whom I sailed the Cruzer to select AHCI driver. Each time, Setup loaded the driver with success smoothly. Of course, I still have the installation of Microsoft Windows 7 Pro DVD, purchased with a full license of the retail.
Example: two years later, after that I started to meet various problems for which I could find no cause, no resolution, I suspected malware or corruption of the registry. To make a long story short, eventually I decided to erase the internal HARD drive once again, after you save the data files on an external USB HDD.
Win7 Setup now follows the same routine, of course. Except that now, it will fail to load the driver AHCI of the SanDisk Cruzer (!). I've also removed the Win7 installation DVD, loaded the CD Gigabyte, sailed to the driver and selected. The Win7 Installer is always not load. In addition, before you run the Win7 Installer for other attempts, I connected the USB HDD external and sailed to a copy archived AHCI driver on it, but Win7 Setup could not load. I have made many and repeated attempts, with all the storage media at hand, that contains a copy of the driver AHCI files, but not joy.
For what it's worth, I also ran the software on the repair disk I did shortly after installing Win7 Pro, and he couldn't load the driver AHCI of the SanDisk Cruzer with CD Gigabyte, respectively.
Then I reconfigured the BIOS of the motherboard to SATA IDE (with SATA 3.0) and rebooted the system. You might think that Win7 Setup would have a suitable driver for the AMD SATA IDE, since she has one for the reader to optical disc Samsung DVD-Writer (obviously), but it did not find a HARD drive. Then I sailed in the appropriate driver AMD x 64 on the CD of Gigabyte IDE files, but Setup cannot load it, too.
Question: why Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Setup does not install the driver AHCI, and what can I do about it?
Hello
Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.
AHCI (Advanced Host controller) makes the NCQ (Native Command Files) with connection to warm or hot swapping through host controllers SATA Serial - ATA possible; Vista was the first to offer this feature. The problem with AHCI is that it must be enabled in BIOS before the installation of the OS. After installing the operating system will disable the PC. The reason why Windows disable the AHCI drivers not not needed during installation.
I suggest you activate the AHCI after installing the operating system if you already enable AHCI in the BIOS, when you installed the operating system.
Warning: This section, method, or task contains steps that tells you how to change the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. NOTE: From: Error Message Occurs after you change the mode of the boot drive SATA
6. close the registry editor.
7. now you will need to reboot the PC and go into the BIOS and enable the AHCI. When Windows starts, it will finish installing the AHCI drivers.
8. you will need a final restart to complete the process once the drivers are installed. We hope that this information helps to let us know the State of the question, we will be happy to help you.

Windows 7 Pro 32 bit to 64 bit upgrade
I have a laptop with Windows 7 Pro 32 - bit preinstalled and the installation DVD. I would like to install Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I understand I can do with my product key. I need a link to the ISO image with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Russian.
Unfortunately, there is no Windows 7 Professional. ISO image available in Russian.
Your best option is to ask the recovery media 64 bit from the manufacturer of your computer.

Upgrade Windows 7 Pro 32 bit edition edition upgrade upgrade windows 7 Pro 64-bit
I have an upgraded version of Windows 7 Pro 32 bit in the supply of Digital River in 2009.
My computer can handle 64 bit, I just chose 32 bit out of habit at the time. Now I'm hoping to improve my memory a little, but 32 bits can not handle.
I have a friend with the 64-bit upgrade media, but before I go through all the problems of backup, reformatting and reinstalling, I want to know if my key is still valid. I've read that at least some versions of windows 7 keys will work for 32 and 64.
Otherwise, I just maybe upgrade to Windows 8 at the start of the promotional operation...
As long as it is a disc of Windows 7 Professional Retail, Yes, you can use it with the product key that you used to install Windows 7 Professional 32 bit.
You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.
Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.
Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.
