Thank you.

    Hello

recently purchased a Qosmio x 305-Q706. First time I booted up it gets to start with Qosmio screen displays with "please wait" down and hangs there forever. The only way I can get it to boot is to start cold and purée the key F12 for is loading from the startup screen, if I'm lucky, I can enter the option where you can choose which startup device, and if I manually chose the hard drive I can load windows.

Someone at - he heard of this problem or how to fix it? I tried to change settings in the BIOS nothing. Re-iterate, it is stuck on the screen with Qosmio pslash, and if I press a key on the keyboard once it says "Please wait...". "he brings me just to the bios: (.)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

This is a very stupid situation and I really don't understand why the laptop hangs at this level to start.
Is somehow your Qosmio confused and cannot decide which device should be the first boot device.
What is some external device connected to your Qosmio laptop?

Maybe update the BIOS can help, but if you have all new laptop is not the solution. This is more recent laptop, and I presume that there latest version of the BIOS. So, if I were you I would contact either your dealer and ask for replacement or Toshiba service directly. This behavior is certainly not strange and laptop crashes somehow on the BIOS/POST (Power-On-Self-Test).

  • Windows hangs at the splash screen (Windows startup screen), but works after restart

I encountered this problem recently. On my Dell XPS M1530, when I turn on the laptop after a few hours, windows gets stuck at the start-up screen. I restart it once, and once again, it gets stuck on the start screen. But when I restart twice, windows starts successfully.

When I turned off the computer and launch until it is physically hot, then windows starts successfully. But when I start the computer after his East become physically cold to room temperature, again the problem starts. I've never seen this kind of problem never or don't want to believe that windows or equipment can be affected by temperatures. It's almost as if windows starts up when the laptop is pretty hot.

Anyone any idea what the problem is?

    Hello

As you experience the same in Safe Mode, it may be the case of a faulty hardware or a damaged system file. However, we can run a Microsoft Fix itfirst to troubleshoot your Windows system performance and restart your device after execution of this. If the problem persists, we can also try the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. If there is no corrupted files, it is indeed a defective hardware, and we ask you to contact your manufacturer to resolve the problem suggests. Please see this link for manufacturer support website for your.

Note: you must enter correctly on your desktop to run the Microsoft it Fix tool and auditor of the files System tool.

  • Stuck at splash screen!

IM using a probook 4530 s. It worked fine a few hours ago, until now. It gets stuck to the screen... with nothing else than the "windows 7 Home premium' down... It usually takes about 10 seconds after that. The pointer still works and I can activate the caps lock. His work also normally in SafeMode... so what exactly should I do?

    Hello

Start the computer in Mode without failure.  When it has loaded, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issuance and then proceed to the restoration.  When you're done, see if Windows will restart normally.

  • PRE down and now stuck at splash screen - HELP!

I was working on a small project (5 min) a couple of soundtracks and was going from one to the other location and crashed BEFORE - now when I open the program to the top of the start screen is blurry and I can't choose anything except the 8.01 update and stuff - HELP - project in 4 hours!

    Eric

Based on a test drive, it's what I think got into the mix. I'm not sure of all the twists and turns, but maybe you can help me fit things together better once you read what follows:

    1. your first Elements 8.0.1 project.prel crashed.

    2. you reopened the first Elements 8.0.1 since the desktop icon which targeted the Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0.exe which opens the Premiere Elements welcome screen (aka Splash Screen). The program is stuck on the Welcome screen. You say that you have completed the process using the task/process manager.

    3. you then went to Program Files/Adobe/Premiere Elements 8.0 and clicked on the file Adobe Premiere Elements.exe to open Premiere Elements. Using this .exe to open the first Elements allows to bypass the Welcome screen (less process involved in loading or opening). Until I tried this I thought not possible: you can open Premiere Elements 8.0.1 via Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0.exe and bring it to the Welcome screen and then click Adobe Premiere Elements.exe in the Program Files folder and the program to open completely. If you find yourself with two instances of open Premiere Elements.

    4. If you tell me that you still have the original Premiere Elements stuck on the Welcome screen, so I let myself believe that you did not really close it with Task Manager/processes.

    5. return to the Task Manager/processes and search for more than one instance of «Adobe Premiere él...» "in the process list. Complete the process for both.

    6. then create a shortcut on the desktop of Adobe first Elements.exe and use instead of the original desktop icon which targets Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0.exe which includes the opening Welcome screen.

    Hi @ramnikchawla,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6-6c10us Entertainment Notebook and problems with the laptop being stuck on the startup screen. Try to make a hard reset.

When you perform a hard reset note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

Here is a link to computer does not start for Windows.

Plug the adapter directly into a different wall socket. Do not connect it a power strip, surge arrester, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.

Please let me know how it goes.

  • Stuck on splash screen

Before that my computer has picked up in the start menu, it was crashing constantly. I would get a blue screen with different error messages. Now, my computer stopped working all together. It is stuck in Start menu and unresponsive. I can't start in safe mode. All I see on the screen is the gateway logo and startup options.

This all happened more than a day. Before that, it worked fine. I installed a new graphics about a month or two if it is relevant.
    I am running Vista.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi EyeSayUhh,

I try to restore your computer from WinRE, which might help you resolve the issue.

    1. Insert the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    2. Press any key when the message "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD".
    3. Select a language, a time and currency, and a keyboard or input method, and then click Next.
    4. click on repair your computer.
    5. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, select the drive of your Windows installation and click Next
    6. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click System Restore.
    7. follow the instructions in the wizard to restore system as usual and choose the appropriate restore point.
    8. click Finish to restore the system.

Check whether the problem is resolved.

If this does not work, let us go ahead and run the Startup Repair tool and see if the problem is resolved.

Startup Repair is a Windows Vista recovery tool that can fix certain problems, such as system files missing or damaged that may prevent Windows from starting correctly. When you run the Startup Repair, it scans your computer for the problem and then tries to fix it so that your computer can start correctly.

Follow the instructions in the link below to perform the Startup Repair.

You can try to disconnect all external devices on the machine, and then start the computer.
Sometimes, an external hardware can also cause the issue during the startup process.

Please post back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem.

  • Windows 8 stuck in black screen after "making auto repairs.

I had my HP laptop for five months. A few days ago that I opened the lid of my portable computer and it loaded and said "Configure automatic updates" at this stage, it was frozen. I held the power button down to do a hard restart. I turn it back on and it wouldn't start. I did a system refresh, defragment HDD, ran CCleaner and started in safe mode. At this point, the hard turned 100% use no matter what I did. I couldn't find a solution I did a system reset. He reset the whole PC and reinstalled Windows 8.  It got stuck in the facility to a black screen with just my mouse. I turned it off. Now when I turn on my laptop the screen goes black for about 15 seconds, then HP appears with "Automatic repair of preparation" below logo. It does this for about 20 seconds then the screen goes black. I left my computer for about 7 hours and the screen was always return. I do not have windows 8 CD or USB key. What can I do? Nobody here was willing to help with this problem, although there are a lot of Windows 8 users who have this. At this point, I am considering buying a Mac that I can't do it in the face of Windows 8. If someone could help me it would be apprciated. Thank you.

I tried several repairs. I did a disk check by pressing F2 during the launch, and he said that the hard drive has failed. I contacted HP support and they are sending me a box to put my laptop in which I will return. So they will be replacing as there is somehow guaranteed on this subject. If someone experiences this problem, it is probably a hard disk crash. Good luck

  • Tecra A9 stuck on splash screen

    Hello

I'm new to your forum, and I hope to find help.

I have a Toshiba Tecra A9 stuck on the boot screen after my intervention in the bios to boot from a USB key.

    _DETAILS: _
At first, it turns more on the home screen with the symbol choice 5 (hard drive, USB, etc.).
By clicking on a symbol and nothing is unresponsive I can't enter the bios.
It is displayed at the top of the screen: In Touch With tomorrow TOSHIBA and five symbols.

I unplugged the two small green battery on the motherboard for 10 minutes, but nothing has changed.
That said, I do not know if I unplugged the battery well (y ' have it two?).
It would also make a metal button on the motherboard battery?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Alain

I don't have this model of laptop, but can you please tell me what happen when you use F12 at startup?
    Start menu is available?
If so, can you choose HARD drive as a boot device?

I do not understand why you can not enter the BIOS settings? Have you tried F2 at startup?

  • Qosmio X 500-Windows 7 stuck at login screen

    Machine: Qosmio x 500 - 10U
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium OA

Start-up and installation worked the first round. I then did the following partitions:

    C: Windows (original system partition)
D: data (here I put all my work files)
F: executable (here are all binary executables that I use)

Then I have some files from C:\Programs F:\Programs.

    Everything worked well.

Then I decided to change F: E: (for executable files) for this that I had to move (by default the system original) E:DVD to a new letter and skillful. I chose O:DVD (for "optical") and themselves E: F:.

    Then I rebooted.

Now, the system boots all the way to the login screen, except that there is no choice of the user. Windows itself has obviously begun because of other functions such as the "Shutdown" and "Restart" buttons doesn't work. But no user or boxes icons to select a user and a password.

When I boot from a disk UBUNTO DVD player also works and I can always get hold of all my data on different partitions. I can't get windows itslef to connect.

I have a file recovery hard disk but no optical drive because he kept saying that he didn't create the recovery disk.

I think I need to fix a few indications of disk in the windows registry file. Unfortunately the utility 'regedit' does not work with UBUNTO.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

That means login screen, you can choose different users, is it good?
If so, it would be interesting to know that users connect after Windows starts. Check it!

To be honest, it's a bit complicated and I don t understand why you did this procedure. In my opinion, that messed with the registry of Windows or other important files and the only option would be to reinstall Windows, I think.

    > I have a file recovery hard disk but no optical drive because he kept saying that he didn't create the recovery disk.
You get this error message, exactly? Maybe the creator of recovery disc can t find files more why you didn't create the disk before?

Now, you could try the recovery of HARD drive option. This is your last chance to get back to factory settings and maybe it works

I then upgraded to Windows 7 Windows 8 Pro, because I have a upgrade key and cannot do a clean install. I tried the upgrade of the installer itself, since a 2 USB and flash USB 3 and also a DVD drive. The installation will run normally and it will start in Windows 8.
But when customize installation reaches the screen, my trackpad and keyboard no longer respond. I tried to plug my USB keyboard and mouse, but they do not work either. I have no choice that to restart the Mac, and when I start Windows again, he tells me the installation of Windows 8 has failed and it will now roll back to Windows 7. So, I'm at square one.
I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thank you!
    SOLVED!

Yay, I finally installed Windows 8 successfully!

    Here's what I did:
Instead of install Windows 8 from the file ISO of Windows 8 on Windows 7, I started in Mac OS X and launched Boot Camp Assistant.
From there I chose the ISO image of Windows copy on a USB key. Then, I chose the image ISO of Windows 8, after I copied on my Mac partition. Then he did his magic, and I found myself with a USB drived called WININSTALL.
Then I booted to Windows 7, has opened the window of the USB drive and launch the setup.exe
Voila! Windows 8! With the Apple's Boot Camp drivers installed automatically as well.
