Windows 7 on a computer hp laptop, start menu never ceases to appear and disappear if often I can't type on the command line. I can open Google Chrome and click here to read the games. If I need to type anything it either in the menu popping up any program does not allow me to do. I have it in safe mode to try to run a full scan check but not able to do. Any suggestions?

    Help, please

You have another keyboard, say a connected USB, try? If this occurs only when you try to type, I was wondering if the keyboard is faulty and its operation to sort of the windows key?

If this is likely, you can try https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/216893 if you click on the toggle bits.

If not that, perhaps of possible malware? Can you go as far as to update your antivirus software and then run a full scan to see if it finds problems? When you say "able to do" whats happening?

  • I can't stop Windows via the Start Menu

    Original title: Shutdown, problem

My laptop Dell Inspiron (64-bit) with Windows 7 is to have close questions. Since yesterday, when I click on stop in the start menu, nothing happens. It's as if I never clicked on stop at all. The same happens when I click on restart or any other shutdown/logoff options. The only way I can get it to stop is if I press the power button, but when I turn it on again, instead of saying "Starting Windows", he said "Resuming Windows". I ran a few virus scans and it doesn't seem to be a problem here. I don't know what else to do.

Run the SFC/scannow command. This will check and repair if necessary all of the critical Windows system files.

Click on start / all programs/accessories then
Right-click on the command prompt option and select "Run as Administrator".

  • My windows vista basic and aero doesn't work, please help?

When I go to appearance settings and click windows aero or vista basic color scheme, the appearance above box shows just black and nothing will change. I am able to use are classic and standard windows. I tried going into services and back running the themes service that did not work. I also did a system restore to a month when I had the problem and that no longer works. Help, please!

Unless you or someone of another 'twisted' of the system, otherwise, Vista Home Basic doesn't have Aero application in the system.
Microsoft has decided to no Aero to computers Home Basic.

However, you can easily google for the method to activate (hack, tweak) Aero in basic home edition.

I can only tell you this now. The rest is up to you.

  • Problem with the taskbar and the Start - Menu icons broken shortcuts and icons 'White Pages '.

I'm having a problem with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit where all the icons outside of a couple in my in my Start menu and task bar have all lost their icons (and are now blank white pages) and clicking on their displays the screen where you choose which program to open the. Files with the INK.
I tried to empty the cache icon, but it has no effect. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are ways to fix file associations, but I would recommend first trying to use the system restore to 'back in time' before the beginning of the question.  Don't worry, the system restore does not cause you to lose all the files, emails, photos, etc.

  • The desktop, the tool bar and the start menu icons are default icons (white leaves)

Most of my software icons that are on my desk, my toolbar and my Start menu changed Windows default icon (a white sheet)

I tried to clean my computer, to rebuild my iconcache.db to change my icon package, to restore my computer and scan but nothing works.

Can you please if there is another solution?

    Thank you

    Hello

This could be due to a virus or infection of malware on the computer or problems with the Database Cache icon on the computer. I wish I had this information to better understand:

    (1) have you run an analysis using software registry cleaner on your computer recently?

    (2) what antivirus application do you use on your computer?

Refer to these methods in the order in which they are presented, and check the status of the issue.

    Method 1:

Run the difficulty of following article and see if it helps:

Difficulty of broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/system_maintenance_for_windows/

    Method 2:

These types of problems occur sometimes due to the infection by the virus in the computer. You can scan your computer from a Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Method 3:

If the problem persists, then check the suggestions by Gaurav Prakash in the following thread and check if that helps. Skip the steps you have done already.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-desktop/icons-missing-their-specialized-image/3f1f7108-2984-4071-afd8-5bec9cceda38

  • How to put 2 systems of windows on the start menu?

XP at startup, there is a menu to select the operating system, I would like to first 2 windows as shown below

    (1) window XP for general use, who attribute the c: for this OS

    (2) Windows XP to test the object, which attribute the M: for this OS drive

Anyone have any suggestions on how to configure this setting?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

    Hello

I suggest to install Windows XP on two different partitions, then try to start the computer. You will get an option to choose which operating system to select. But you will not be able to rename option in Windows XP dual boot.

In case if you have Windows 7 installed with Windows XP, you can rename the option Windows 7 dual-boot.

  • When you call sub-panels in an exe file, some to run correctly and some don't work at all.

    Hello

I use LabVIEW 2009 and display various screws in a secondary (one at a time) into an executable.  A few screws properly load and run, while others do not work.  All the screws called VI properties are the same.  When I run into the development system, the code runs successfully.  I don't get any errors during the call to the screw - screw display all their facades like they should, but only a few actually deliver, while others do nothing.  Any ideas would be very appreciated!

    Thank you

    Jason

Are you running VI separately, or you use the method run a VI?

If you use the method run a VI, check out error and see if you get an error.

If you are running separately, make sure that this area of the code actually runs (from your description, it looks that BT is).

If all screws are supposed to be in the app, I would say that, given the static references for them and having a node property to one of the controls in each VI you want to display in the secondary, which will ensure the that LV will not remove its FP when you build the exe. Looks like this is your case, since you say that you see the FPS.

If the screws are not in the application (that is, you run live recorded separately), you will need to ensure that they have all the dependencies that they need, because it is possible that they you are missing the vi.lib screws or your own screws not built in the app (since there was no static reference to them). The easiest thing is to build a distribution for each other while giving it a name space. You can do this by using the OpenG constructor, although I've never needed to. The main problem with this is that it will explode the size of the code, because each VI will need a copy of the common stuff.

  • How can I get the accessories in the start menu?

I tried to make a shortcut to Accessories on my desktop by dragging the icon in the start menu on the desktop. An Accessories folder appears, containing none of the accessories like a painting. In addition, the accessories tab no longer exists in the start menu.

I know can be found in a search, but I wanted to play with the new programs I've not seen before, such as audio and video capture.

How to restore the accessories tab on my menu to start? What programs are normally under the accessories tab?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Restarting the computer should replace accessories back to the start menu. Try to restart the computer if you not him have not tried.
Go to the following locations and check if the Accessories folder is there with all its elements intact.
    C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories
Note: You may need to select the files, folders, and drives hidden in Folder Options If you are unable to locate the folder.

You can also try to create a new user account and check the issue:

    Here's how:

    1. open user accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and parental controls, and then clicking user accounts.
    2. click on manage another account.
    3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    4. click on create a new account.
5 type the name you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click on create an account.

If it works in a new user account, then you will need to fix the corrupted user profile. You can visit this link for the steps:
