Windows 7 Theme is changing automatically to "unsaved theme".

OK so I am running Windows 7 on a almost new ASUS K50IJ and my problem is with the customization, more precisely defining a theme/desktop background. When I change my theme and save it and delete all the other themes everything works very well, exactly as I want. The problem is when I shut down my computer, and then start it upward, the theme has magically changed back to a theme "non-registered" with a completely different environment than what I chose.

Ive been reading forums all day and tried some things listed there, but did not get anything to work properly. This is driving me CRAZY and I need it fixed. STAT. Also, I don't know if it's relevant or not, but a lot forums that I met, people with computers ASUS have been encountering this problem. I wonder if it is a software that comes standard on the ASUS computers that is counter the themes of Windows 7. Just a thought.

Hi Ashley,

Try the suggestions given here.

  • Windows 7 change automatically the compatibility on steam

    Hello

I just had a strange error output of steam, in which Windows says it has detected problems of compatibility and changed automatically in response to this. There is no option to cancel the changes, and looking at the exe of steam, no compatibility setting have been changed.

However, when I go to open steam now, it detects that it is in compatibility mode and does not open. Anyone has any idea how I would like to undo changes?

I do not understand why Windows has changed the settings in the first place, as it has been working well since the RC is released.

  • Changed Windows style/theme

Theme or style of the appearance of windows changed.  Looks like in a old computer theme and style, that is, the Start button is more round, but rectangular and many other fundamental changes.  Option in WindowsOther user account has not been affected by the change.   Options in Windows Color and appearance have changed.  Looks like an old XP type options.  That's happened?  How do go back to what it was?

I found the answer myself: Director of Windows desktop has been turned off.  Also, I had to restart themes.  These two have been set in the Services.  Find my answers here:

    First answer here partially fixed:

Second part was here... instead of stop Windows Desktop Manager, I restarted:

But now I know what to do to speed up Vista.  Stop or disable everything I just restarted!  Strangely enough, it's... Why this change first?

My laptop will also not me do a backup.

    Try these:
    METHOD 1:
Back up all the files on a USB Flash drive or an external hard drive and re - install Windows on the hard disk of laptop.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    METHOD 2:

Try partitioning your hard drive and put your files there.

    1. Start menu search: 'drive '.
    2. click on create and format hard disk partitions
3 right-click the Local Disk (C) and select shrink.
    4. According to the size of the files, we could save, choose the size you want to reduce (1000 MB = 1 GB)
    5. right click on the new "unallocated space" and create the Partition. (Name it BACKUP or something)
    6. place all your important files on the new partition, and then, when you reinstall Windows, select the Local Disk (C)
DO NOT select the Partition you you saved on files.

    Clarification:
Windows Vista is preinstalled on this system?

If I read (and cited only) correctly - Yes, which is not going to work.  The license for Windows Vista was related to the Compaq system motherboard.  If you had that repaired under warranty, HP? Compaq could have helped you.  As you have created a new machine (motherboard especially) now, you will need to purchase a new license for Windows Vista or any other operating system of your choice.

You could, I suppose, buy the OEM of Windows 8 version.  You will have the same problem later (OEM licenses is related to the first motherboard it is installed and activated with.)

  • Windows xp theme

Miss me my windows xp theme. How can I get it back?

Click on start/run type services.msc to open the services console. Find themes of service and start the service. Now you should be able to recover your windows xp theme.

If for some reason themes service is missing or could not start

    Try this it should work

Sometimes you may encounter problems with Windows XP Thèmes. These problems may occur because of the following reasons:

    1. Changes on the computer Visual Styles
    2. Services disabled
    3. Theme incompetible
    4. Security (problem of spyware & malware)

There are a few difficulties for theme issues. Lets discuss some of them:

    • Go in Start > settings > Control Panel > system > advanced and clicksettings under the performance tab. If the 'custom' option is used, ensure "use of Visual on windows and buttons styles" checkbox is enabled.
    • In Windows Explorer , navigate to Tools > Folder Options. In thegeneral tab, make sure that the checkbox "Show tasks in folders" is checked in the sectiontasks .
    • Go in Start > settings > Panel > display > appearance and make sure "Windows XP Style" is selected underWindows and buttons of drop-down list.
    • Click on Start > run and type services.msc to see theServices of Windows XP Management Console. Ensure that the themes service is configured to run automatically and check to verify that it has already started. (Note: you can click with the right button on an item in the name column to set up a specific service)
    • Click on Start > run and type services.msc again. Double-click the name column aboutTerminal Server Services . Click on the tab log on ensure that the service is enabled for the defaulthardware profile.

If the instructions above does not help, what should I do?

Go in Start > settings > Control Panel > display > themes and select Windows XP. IfWindows XP thème by default is not listed you can check the following location (%SystemRoot%\Resources\Themes\Luna.theme) (SystemRoot is the directory of your operating system installation. • "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically" - Satellite C660-108

Got a new laptop for Christmas yesterday and it worked fine yesterday, I came home tonight and he asked me to click on restore and then restart. I realized that, now, whenever I go to turn on the machine, it brings the message "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically" and a saying to have connected external devices to and remove, then (which I don't have)...

Was called "The Tech Guys" they said it was probably because when I started the laptop arrived so many updates etc and one of them went bad and I need to call back with the front desk and they'll go through it with me.
So I intend to do, but I would like it if people could give advice on how to solve this problem.
    Thanks :)

In my view, ting best that you can do now is to reinstall the OS using the recovery disk.
After the own pre-installed operating system it will be working correctly again.

How to do this you can read in the document or as a result of this document - s user manual http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

  • HP Pavilion 500-130DE: HP Pavilion 500-130DE do not see the graphics card in windows and can not change the primary graphics card.

So I got a new (TG 640) graphics card for my pc. I tested it on another computer the day before. Worked well. I plugged my HP Pavilion 500-130DE and started. I changed my slot onboard DVI cable to the GT 640 and cable says no signal. While the pc was still on I switched the cable back to the integrated graphical location motherboard and got the windows login screen. So I thought that BIOS yet configured when the integrated graphics card (Intel HD 4600). I turned off the pc and booted to BIOS. But I've never seen a such limited BIOS before! Only thing you change is boot order. I saw a tab advanced but could not find the settings that I needed. In the only device manager devices that appears is the HD 4600. So I checked power is 300W should be sufficient for a map of 75W (only need the PCI for power). Someone knows how to fix this?

If the BIOS on your PC version is version 8, and then review the information below.

    Hello

One of your antivirus programs? You should not have two or more on the computer much
less running. They load the pieces themselves at startup and interfere with each other

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
