Windows 7 - themes and colors

I just wanted a simple windows basic theme (without the effects special aero) using the Windows 7 basic theme.  However, I don't really like the colors of pale blue windows, and I would also prefer to have a different color, or shadow, since the inactive windows active window.

Can I change the colors of theme, if I select a Windows aero theme, or if I select the Windows Classic theme.  However it does not seem possible to change colors using the non-aero, Windows basic theme.

Am I missing a setting here?  Find it me hard to believe that there is no provision to change the colors of the window in the basic theme.

Any help would be appreciated.

I thought it was me being stupid, but today after installing the latest updates, I find that my office is back to classic windows without my permission and I can't seem to find either the windows xp options or be able to change the color of my windows. Hello

It could be a virus or updates that have caused this problem.

Swipe by installing Malwarebytes on the computer:

  • Windows 7: Theme and Aero questions

original title: duty 7 acclimitizing of the extreme difficulty of XP. None of the online instructions seem to resemble what I do experience or the other.

I don't know why this is, but none of the instructions related to windows 7 seem to resemble what I see on the screen. My biggest hang up right now is the 'theme' of windows 7 which, in theory, can change to the classic version of windows - only "customization" routines described on several sites, including microsoft seems to apply.

so, how can we get the classic them anyway?

and how to recover the function of the taskbar where rolling on all open programs get it a preview of the window? He disappeared, and I don't see the option to bring him back.

and say that I wanted to see the control panel in "classic" mode, how do I do this?

    I'm so lost...

Yes, I know where is the persolization window, but clicking on a classical theme of windows gives me different colors but exactly the same confusing features. I don't really see a huge difference. I'm looking for is the menus gray neutral without the many contours, lines, shadows and transparencies that I see when I click on a "classic" theme Basically, I want it looks like XP - which he did not.

Even when I use a "aero" theme I always get only the text when I rollover an item in the taskbar.

really, this shouldn't be so hard, and I'm beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with my computer itself. Windows 7 came preloaded with my new HP laptop

    Hello

If you have an Aero theme enabled, you should definitely see a thumbnail popup for a program that has files or open Web sites. You can ask HP support about it. You can also run the Aero troubleshooter.

Open the Aero Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel.

In the search box, type Troubleshooting, click Troubleshootingand then, under appearance and personalization, click display Aero desktop effects.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

In the window that appears, select Advanced link at the bottom of the window and place a check in the option apply repairs automatically .

    Click the Next button.

If the convenience store doesn't find any problems, select the Explore additional options .

As to make Windows 7 looks exactly like XP, it will be difficult to do because so many components have been changed, first in Vista and then even more in Windows 7.

If you use the classic theme, you can go to customize and click the color at the bottom of the window. This will display the dialog box options display old style that you can use to change the colors on many elements, such as Menus, message boxes, etc.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Windows 7

  • W520 - Windows Server 2008R2 and color sensor

    Good evening

Does anyone have experience how to do calibration working under Windows Server 2008 R2? It beeps 3 times when I close the lid and displays the message that the system cannot be put into calibration mode.

    Thank you!

If you have installed the calibration software after that Office R2 experience and the latest video driver NVIDIA Windows 7 x 64, so you have done everything you can.

If it works on Windows 7, but not when started the R2, then this is clearly a software problem and whereas Windows Server 2008 R2 is not supported, you're probably in a dead end.

  • I can't customize my window color and appearance to change the transparency and color of the window.

Tuesday night I had to re-charge/reinstall Windows Vista because I had some problems with the worms and Trojans. After that I have re-installed Windows, I was able to customize my resolution and my window color and appearance. Once I installed all the 106 updates of Windows, I was finally able to change my resolution but I still not able to change my window color and appearance. Before I reloaded Windows I could change the transparency of the windows and taskbar and the tone of the colors, etc., but now all I can choose themes default and such of older versions of Windows. I was told that after I downloaded and installed all the updates, I'd be able to do, but I'm still not able to do. Is there a reason why and is there a any solution for this? Drivers? Material? Thank you. :) I hope this has been detailed enough.

    Hi Nicole,.

In the services dialog box, double-click the themes service. On the Recovery tab, set the first and second failure of the drop-down lists "restart the service". If she is still unable to start/restart, open the event viewer for Windows Logs\System and locate the failure event. Post back with the information found here. • Hello... I have windows 7 ultimate and I have can´t choose the color of the window. Can you help me?

    Windows 7

On the theme Aero and Desktop Window Manager (dwm)...

Have you tried to enable DWM using services.msc? Try to do it: press the Windows key + R > type: services.msc and press enter > find on the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager list > it must be started and Automatic , if it is not double click on it and change the settings

    ...

If you can start that (DWM) service, you can activate the Aero theme, and then right click on the desktop > customize > choose the Aero theme. With Aero theme enabled, you can change the main color of the borders using the color of the window under Customize and choose one of the available colors or you can use a mixer to specify your own color for borders)

My music files have changed in wma format in windows media player, and now my mp3 player won't play them.  can anyone help please.

    original title: Media Player

Download and install WMA to MP3 Converter, then install it, you can get it here... http://www.WMA-MP3.org/

Then select all the WMA files you want to convert, and then convert them to the MP3 Format.
The reason why they are WMA is because when you ripped the files on the disc to your pc, by default, Windows Media Player is configured to save in the Windows Media Audio (WMA) Format.
This default can be changed by opening Media Player and click on Tools > Options
Then select the Rip music tab
Format: select MP3 from the drop-down list.
    Click apply and OK.
Now the next time you rip a CD on your drive hard it will be automatically saved as an MP3 file.

  • Downloaded and installed Windows updates. Running to find the modified theme and no clear Vista theme.

Can someone explain what happened? All the available themes are the current non-transparent theme, called 'Modified Theme' and the classic Windows theme.

It's really strange and really very boring, simply because I didn't ask for this.
Everything I have done differently was click on the button that says "downloads and installs updates before Shutting Down", in the usual area where is the sleep button.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hello

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"How to hide or show an update of Windows Vista"

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/72491-Windows-Update.html

Here's how to chanage update settings, if you think it is necessary to:

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/Windows-Vista-updates-and-extras/

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

    See you soon.
