Windows 7 view Desktop goes into a disconnected state?

Hello

I have (1) Office of Windows 7 that enters a State disconnected once the user tries to log on.  I have (4) other VM Win7 in the same pool which are not affected by the issue.  Here's what happens:

1 user enters the credentials of the AD to display.

2. the user receives the message "preparing the office" and the screen goes black as usual.

3. from the console of vCenter, I see that the Win7 Office has the window 'Welcome' screen on the desktop.

4. the user gets knocked back to the login view screen and the desktop Win7 displays "disconnected" in the admin view.

5. from vCenter console, I see that the user is connected to the desktop computer.

6 user tries to log on again views and the screen goes black and back to the login view screen.  View the log of admin user shows Plug and unplug immediately.

What I've tried so far:

1 uninstall and reinstall agent view.

2 reinstall the Vmware tools

Any ideas would be appreicated!

I assume you are using PCoIP. And you do not specify what type of pool you are running the virtual machine. Also which users use to access the virtual machine? (see customer, zero client...)

Review logs inside the VM (C:/Program/VMware/VDM/data logs - if i remember correctly). There, you could see exactly what is happening inside the virtual machine and why his abandonment of the connection.

During the reinstallation of the tools and the agent, you must install tools first and then the agent.

This could also be the case.

Good luck

I can't find my Windows Photo Viewer! I know that I have one, because I just bought a photo from iStock and that's where he went. But where devil is this?

Windows Photo Viewer is built into the windows program,

It does not store the files, but is a viewer of database files of pictures,

If you have saved a file or bought somewhere a file and saved somewhere you can search your computer for that particular file name or extension of files.

The best way to do what you ask is with the widget of Composition. Start with the ToolTip predefined, which by default displays the info on working capital. • Laptop goes into a spasm of disconnect and reconnect a USB 3.0 drive

Original title - USB 3.0 unplug plug back

I have 2 computers running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit. 2 computers have the same USB Microsoft drivers, the same set of Intel chips (both with the i7 processors) from the same manufacturer of motherboard. They have the same operating system, same programs, clean installs with drivers to date and windows updates, they're practically twins with the exception of a material fact; one is one laptop, the other a desktop computer.

Two computers, although very similar in there profiles of hardware (Device Manager) and in contexts there, seem to have their preferences on what USB 3.0 devices that they like or dislike.

The laptop will go into a spasm of disconnect and reconnect a USB 3.0 drive, whenever I plug. The office like this player and everything will work day and night. However, when I plug in a USB 3.0 flash drive in desktop and start transferring a file, it disconnects and reconnects the reader, which damages the transfer. The laptop like this USB 3.0 flash drive and will transfer files to and from this day and night.

Of Corse it's backup and data transfer between 2 computers, although they are very similar, very difficult. Devices USB 3.0 a computer like the other goes into a conniption fit with.

I tried everything I can think of. Updated, updates to the BIOS, software configurations, reader driver manager settings, different formats of devices, software of turbo boost, installs own, you name it. It is important to note that none of the problems happen with any of my USB 2.0 devices.

Are there not a universal standard of USB 3.0? 2 computers act as if they have 2 different USB 3.0 standards! And each device will work with a standard computers. Is there a laptop computer and a standard desktop computer? LOL, it's nuts!

    SOLVED *.

    I solved the problem.

Just ignore my other messages troubleshooting efforts earlier.

The problem is with the Microsoft Windows 8 driver for:

"Intel (R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0100 (Microsoft).

The Microsoft Driver is dysfunctional , and there is no other driver available!

I have disabled> Intel xHCI in BIOS on all my computers to get a partial solution to this problem of Microsoft .

With XHCI disabled in BIOS driver Microsoft dose does not and so I can use USB 3.0 with controller Intel devices (although they are paralyzed, at least they work now).

    As a big bonus:

My PC has 2 not intel USB 3.0 controllers!

With Intel xHCI disabled in BIOS and no Microsoft Driver to mess things up that my 2 other controllers can now go full speed USB 3.0 there little made in China drivers! Windows8 should get fixed soon!

  • Monitor goes into sleep mode during the installation of Windows 7

Hello, I'm doing a new install of Windows 7 pro on a new SSD. He gets regarding to reset for the second time during the installation, and just before showing the page where you name the computer and configure user accounts, the monitor goes to sleep and won't return. only way to recover is to reset the machine, only to do exactly the same thing again. Anyone know what could be the cause? I used the same disk of windows for many expenses format / install Windows after hardware upgrades in the past and this has never happened before. Can provide the complete specifications of the system if necessary. Help, please!

    Hi Danpedro,

I see that the screen goes into sleep mode, in the last step of installing Windows 7. I'll help you with this problem.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. you have an external display driver card attached to the motherboard?

    3. you format the hard disk during Windows 7 installation?

    Method 1.

Disconnect any external devices and restart the computer to see if it helps complete the installation of Windows 7.

    Method 2.

If you have a driver to attached external display card, then you can disable this external driver in the BIOS and check if that helps complete the installation of Windows 7.

    Warning of the BIOS:

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Hi Maddy,

This problem may occur if the Windows startup files are damaged or missing.

If your computer has integrated system recovery options, you can try to perform the Startup Repair and check if it helps.

If it fails, you must have a Windows Vista installation disc and try to parade Startup Repair boot from the disc.

If the problem persists, try the steps in the article to rebuild BCD, boot from the installation disc.

Use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows recovery environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows

Because you replaced the hard drive, you can also get in contact with the Dell helpdesk for assistance.

    Hope the helps of information.

  • My computer will always run a scheduled backup, if it goes into sleep mode? Windows 7...

original title: will BE BACKUP OCCUR IF MY LAPTOP GOES TO SLEEP MODE? (WIndows 7)

I have my laptop value backup at midnite.  I have the computer goes into "sleep" mode before.  Is my computer still backup as expected?

You can get the Task Scheduler to wake him up.

You can configure the backup form program timed task in the Task Scheduler with the game of "wake up to perform this task.  Depending on what you use for backups, the backup application can already use Task Scheduler & all you need to do is add the "wake up to perform this task" setting.

To open Task Scheduler, type 'Planner' in the search box of the start menu.  Search in the left pane and select its library.  Browse the tasks in the list that has your backup program in its "Action" tab  Make a copy [a test version] 1 by clicking Export in the right pane & recording in an easily accessible folder, 2 when you rename the file in the selected folder [simply add 'Test' at the beginning of its name] 3 click on import in the right pane to bring in the copy renamed the task from the same folder.

Now you can play safely & just disable the test version when you are finished.  The main change would "allow to wake up...." "and it's in the conditions tab.

If it works, let the enabled test version & disable the original for a few days while you're fairly confident that the new version works.  Then you can delete one of them - but only after have exported them again if you know that you can recover later.

  • Horizon view Agent 6.0.2 Windows 8.1 desktop - size setting display scale causes mouse which will be pasted in the top left corner

    Hello

I am having some problems when I try to adjust the size to the scale option in the Virtual Office Windows 8.1 with view agent 6.0.2. When I try to change the scale via Control Panel -> display -> option to change the size of all the items ( view failover control settings is disabled by VMware KB: Settings tab is not available in the display panel of a Horizon view desktop locally when t...). After that, the mouse pointer gets suddenly blocked until the upper-left corner, and I'm unable to move the mouse pointer on this corner that the mouse pointer continues new jump in him. When I change the scale to the original (use the keyboard to change the setting), the behavior of mouse pointer returns to normal.

    Anyone else having this problem?

Found the solution by adding a registry entry:

    Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Teradici\PCoIP\pcoip_admin_defaults

    Name: pcoip.disable_cursor_jumping

    Type: REG_DWORD

    Data: 1

After that it is defined on the parent image and recomposed (or reboot if you want to set this on a persistent desktop computer), there is no more mouse pointer jumps after changing the scale of the fonts/AC.

This was indeed listed in KB here — not exactly the problem listed in the KB, but it is quite similar:
