Windows 7 would have been "not genuine".

My computer running Windows 7 (at my place of work, this is volume license). From time to time, he decides that it's 'not real' - what is wrong - and blocking me MS Office, among other things. Usually it goes away after a few reboots but the current episode lasted 3 days and doesn't seem to have of fixing itself. Try to validate the results in various error messages such as: "Windows validation has been stopped. The validation service is unavailable at this time. Please try validation again later. "It happened the days so I guess this isn't a temporary problem at the end of Microsoft. How can I fix it? I'm in the middle of a project urgent same which requires MS Office, so I can't just wait until Monday when my work TI of the helpdesk will be available.

The reality is, possible only your COMPUTER can solve this problem. Given that the type of license and activation used by your installations of Office and Windows, it is causing the problem.

You use a type of license called KMS - key management server that requires that you connect to the KMS host computer at your workplace to activate Windows and Office. This should only happen every 180 days however, but for some unknown reason his past every 3 days. Could be a faulty laptop, could be a problem with the KMS host.

The only resolution would be to use a MAK MAK key which operate as a retail sales license in order to avoid this error message.

According to works well with KMS versions licensed for Windows and Office, even when they are not enabled, you should still be able to open and edit files and use Windows.

When I started my computer this morning (I'm in the United Kingdom), I was greeted by an alert, would have been to support Dell saying that my laptop needed a critical BIOS update. When I went by the initial movements of download 1525_A16.exe, I found that it came from an unknown Publisher, so I do not run. Has anyone else had this disturbing alert?

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525 and I am running Vista.

    Dear red dawn

Thank you for taking the time to respond and to locate the update that appears to be true after all. Seeing that it was an update of the critical BIOS from an unknown Publisher, I was extremely suspicious to say the least. and in fact, I thought that it must contain a virus.

If it wasn't such a business, put in touch with Dell, now that my warranty has expired, I would give them a piece of my mind.

    Thank you once again

  • table cannot be sorted because it has pending changes that would have been lost.

I had this problem to define sort columns where the data in the column has been populated with a monetary and digital format. I had received the error is: the table cannot be sorted because it has pending changes that would have been lost. The user guide has proposed the following solution (see below) that I tried and it didn't work. Someone at - it an example of the use of this solution where it worked?

How can I sort manually populated transient attributes present? (Classic and advanced)

When you try to sort a column in a table that has one or more manually filled transitional columns, then the transitory values are lost when sorting. This is because the query is executed by OA Framework. To avoid this, you can do the following:

    * Encapsulate the logic for completing the transitional columns (display attributes) in a method.*
    * On an event of the kind, redirect to the same page in processFormRequest.*
    * In processRequest, manage forwarding - call followed tableBean.prepareForRendering of a call to the method that fills transitional columns.*

Why do you need to fill the transitional columns manually? Is it possible to obtain in the form of calculated attributes? Of course, query would make you loose unsaved data. So if you have values in the query, such problems would not come.

  • I replaced my Windows 7 64-bit system drive and now I have the "Not genuine" message after an update failed

I have a Windows 7 64-bit system I bought a provider on the local computer for a long time with Windows installed.

I replaced my hard drives of 500 GB (mirrored RAID configuration) system with hard drives of 1 TB.

After replacing the readers, I also installed a set of Windows updates. We update failed. After you restart the computer, I ran Windows update again. It seemed that all upgrades completed.

HOWEVER, I now have the message "this computer is not running Genuine Windows". Windows Indexing is not running, send me problems in Outlook and elsewhere.

I saw discussions on the online forum on the problem "Not genuine" resulting from an update of Windows failed and resulting also to change the hard drive.

I led Activation (slui.exe 3) typed in the product key from the sticker on the computer and it activates OK but does not erase the message.

I clicked on pay online now and ran legitcheck.hta and my system has failed validation. The options are to buy or to perform a new installation of Windows.

I have a lot of programs installed on the computer, and I can't lose all configuration data and reinstall all programs. That would take several days and I would not have a system can be used in the meantime.

I ran the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool (1.9.0027.0) and have these results below.

There are a lot of files file mismatches and "tampered with". I believe that this is due to the update has failed.

I thought to manually rerun all updates that goes back to the date when first I struggled (about a month). However, I wasn't sure if this solves the problem or make worse it.

You can leave the data below what actions I need to take the next?

I am a independent and use this computer to work. I have backups of my data files, but it is many installed applications that I can't do without.

  • Windows 7 product key blocked - not genuine notice

My T420 is 3 years old and all of a sudden yesterday I received the notice and black screen saying "this copy of Windows is not genuine". And nag screens on it about every half hour (and annoyingly at startup).

I tried several fixes online, including the re - enter the product key. When I do this I get the error 0XC004F063. There is no place to contact Microsoft for a replacement key, it says to contact Lenovo.

I talked to Lenovo support this morning and told me I might need to reinstall Windows, and they were mailing - me to restore disks. He checked and said with this error code that I had to call Microsoft.

I called MS and we checked the product key... it's blocked. I gave her my product ID and which is also blocked. He said to come back to Lenovo.

Lenovo doesn't know anything about. Or what to do about it. The woman was told she had someone call this morning with something similar, if it was Windows 8. She checked and several other people support had similar appeals this morning. She also said that I would probably have to reinstall Windows. I asked if she would have never had this before and she said no. I asked if she knew other people having these calls before and she didn't say that she didn't know. I asked that if it seemed suspicious that all of a sudden some people had this problem. It seems that Lenovo blocked a series of product keys. It was covered on if she was really out of hand and said the Commissioner knew it and they would look inside. When I asked if they would contact me if they found anything, she said that this does not work like that. They you me sending restore disks and I am for the reminder Friday to see if someone knows something.

In the meantime, here is my log Genuine Ms. It seems correct to my untrained eye... does anyone have any ideas or know of others, especially in the last 24 hours?

  • Under XP, while doing a disk cleanup, get a message "files required for windows runs properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions.

While doing a disk cleanup, I received a message "files which are required for windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions.» To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files. Insert your CD-ROM in Windows XP Home Edition now. "and I did not... I can restore it online?

    * original title - windows file protection *.

Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

Please provide additional information on your system:

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

If you have a genuine XP installation CD bootable which corresponds to your currently installed Service Pack, you won't get away with instructions to run sfc/scannow.

Windows file protection wants to replace a file of the backup copy he keeps in the dllcache folder and WFP found that the backup copy of the file on your system is not look right, so he complains (there is a list of 3498 files PAM knows).

When you see the original message, if you click Cancel, then choose 'keep' the file afflicted, you will see a warning message, and then a message like this in the case where the system log viewer:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64005
    Description:
The protected system file taskmgr.exe had not been restored in its original, valid version because the Windows File Protection restoration process was cancelled by user interaction, user name is Jose.  The file version of the bad file is unknown.

As you can see, the file that WFP is concerned is clearly stated in the paper, so now you know what is the file.

For the above example, I used my (taskmgr.exe) Task Manager file to reproduce the problem.  You need to see what your event viewer message says.

When you know what the file is, you can decide what to do about it.  There are probably other copies of the files on your system, or you can get the files from another source.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

Check your event observer system log and look for a proposed Windows file protection event.

If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove personal information from your information
After having stuck if you are forced to do so.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

    Hi Harold,

When you run an .exe file on a Windows 7 based computer, the file can start another program. In addition, the icon of the file .exe may not appear as expected. You can also receive additional errors in the .exe file or the program that starts. I suggest you to refer to the help article and check if it helps.

  • Phone calls that would have been from Microsoft Windows

I got a phone call from someone claiming to be Sarah Murray of Microsoft Windows Support. She said that she called because my PC was to make a large number of critical errors, which it might well be. She said she called 16 Hanover Street London and gave his (company), telephone number as 020 8199 1822. She says that it is a provider of Technical Support services.

Anyone think this is likely to be a real call? Or, if this is not what I would do to this topic. Needless to say that when I composed 1471 "details of the appellant are not available."

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

    Please see:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.

These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

  • would have been said, that I threw my product key when I threw my box after buying my computer need HELP to activate my programs... is this possible without the keycode?

Is it possible to recover the product key password without having to buy one for $125 to? Program Windows 7

If you threw the box of MS Office and you had not activated Office you have learned an expensive lesson.

I suspect that your new PC has made a preinstalled Office trial and you then installed the version of office that was purchased, and it has not been activated, so its key is not registered on your system

If you have received for your purchase of MS Office there may be options.

  • Why windows 7 says it is not genuine, when it is authentic

At least once a day, this message appears in the lower right. When I right click on computer and go to properties, it says windows is activated

This looks OK to me - but you are consider a reformat/reinstall - and since it is a key to retail sales, it is likely that you do not have the appropriate license.

This machine almost certainly came with XP Pro installed - or nothing - as it was made in 2005 about.

  • Windows 7 updates have been a failure for the past two weeks.

The download of updates, restart computer, Setup starts and then message comes back saying it failed and returning from changes.

    Hi Tassie8655,

    ·         What is the error message or the error code you get?

This problem may occur if one of the security software and updates of Windows services are not started.

Follow the steps to check the error code.

    1. click Start , and type Windows Update in Start the Search.
    2. click on view Update history in the left pane.
    3. law click on Update that failed to install and click on see Details.

Make a note of the error code and provide the same.

However, you can reset the Windows Update components, download the Microsoft fix - it from the link below and run, this automatically resets the components of Windows on the computer.

How to reset the Windows Update components?: http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

I suggest that you temporarily disable the security software on the computer, and then run Windows updates. Make sure that you enable the security software on the computer after you run Windows updates.

If the problem persists always, however, try the steps manually described in the article.
