I replaced my Windows 7 64-bit system drive and now I have the "Not genuine" message after an update failed

I have a Windows 7 64-bit system I bought a provider on the local computer for a long time with Windows installed.

I replaced my hard drives of 500 GB (mirrored RAID configuration) system with hard drives of 1 TB.

After replacing the readers, I also installed a set of Windows updates. We update failed. After you restart the computer, I ran Windows update again. It seemed that all upgrades completed.

HOWEVER, I now have the message "this computer is not running Genuine Windows". Windows Indexing is not running, send me problems in Outlook and elsewhere.

I saw discussions on the online forum on the problem "Not genuine" resulting from an update of Windows failed and resulting also to change the hard drive.

I led Activation (slui.exe 3) typed in the product key from the sticker on the computer and it activates OK but does not erase the message.

I clicked on pay online now and ran legitcheck.hta and my system has failed validation. The options are to buy or to perform a new installation of Windows.

I have a lot of programs installed on the computer, and I can't lose all configuration data and reinstall all programs. That would take several days and I would not have a system can be used in the meantime.

I ran the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool (1.9.0027.0) and have these results below.

There are a lot of files file mismatches and "tampered with". I believe that this is due to the update has failed.

I thought to manually rerun all updates that goes back to the date when first I struggled (about a month). However, I wasn't sure if this solves the problem or make worse it.

You can leave the data below what actions I need to take the next?

I am a independent and use this computer to work. I have backups of my data files, but it is many installed applications that I can't do without.

  • have replaced my HARD original with an SSD drive, but now my laptop does not recognize HP support assistant?

    Dear Forum,

I replaced my original HARD with a SSD drive, but now HP support assistant recognizes my phone? The program runs but updates always fail and when I look at general specifications the serial number, product name, number of product, microprocessors, system memory, motherboard, bios system, drive hard (s), and optical drive (s) are all empty. Interestingly, it recognizes the device to display (s) as being mobile intel (R) HD graphics and current resolution of 1366 x 768 and refresh rate 60.

My laptop is an Australian model HP DV4 3029tx, which is an intel i5 14 "(2ème génération) with AMD graphics 6750" I replaced the original 640 GB hd with a 180 GB ocz vertex 2 using acronis to clone the drive.

I would be grateful is anyone know how to get hp support assistant to recognize my computer.

    Thank you very much

I think that cloning might be the question because the original configuration has been changed. Simple uninstall and reinstall again could possibly solve the problem as well...

Download and run the appropriate AVG removal tool

    Hi christinecarrington,

You can use any third-party application to recover data lost by using your favorite search engine.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Photoshop 7 was designed for the Pentium III or 4 processor running Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 Second edition, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows NT Service Pack 6, Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2 or Windows XP. It's an older, unsupported in Photoshop.

If you want to run Photoshop on a 64-bit system, but are not interested in the creative cloud subscription, you still have to buy Photoshop CS6 here: Creative Suite 6: Photoshop

  • cannot update (automatically) to 11.3.300.270 on Windows 7 64-bit systems

    Hello

I am trying to build an SCCM deployment for the latest Adobe Flash package.  I registered for the grant of license/access to the program with Adobe and downloaded the MSI file, what I understand is supposed to work on 32-bit and 64-bit systems.  However, I'm fighting to get the update/upgrade to work on Windows 7 64-bit systems.

My command line is very simple:

    msiexec /i install_flash_player_11_active_x.msi /qn

It seems to work fine on my 32-bit systems, but not so much more than joy on my 64-bit systems. On 64-bit systems, it seems to uninstall the previous version of Flash (the majority of my clients are currently in Flash version 11.2.202.228, if it matters), but he does not correctly install the 11.3.300.270 version.  When clicking the msi file and it works by hand, I get the following message on my 64-bit system:

Error 1312.  Cannot create the directory C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash.  A file with this name already exists.  Please rename or remove the file and click Retry, or click Cancel to exit.

Looking at this file, it seems to be that a single file called "Do Flash", 1 KB in size, no file extension manifest.  I can manually delete this 1 KB file and re-run the msi manually or via the command line, and Flash allows you to install.  However, I need deploy this software automatically silently on a very large number of machines.

Any ideas on what goes wrong?  I guess I can find a script to remove this file from the problem, but it seems like a 'hack' for something that should probably work out of the box.  Thanks for any idea.

Thanks for the tips, Chris.  You led me in the right direction.  It looks like that the file flash "thugs" is really the custom mms.cfg we tried to copy machines, but in special circumstances in our environment, the copy of the file/name did not work properly.  It is the fault of the script we were using, has nothing to with the Flash player install files themselves.

I think we can close this case.  Thanks again for your pointers; they helped us to look in the right place and think things differently.

You will need to borrow an installation disc to a former operating system Microsoft - Windows 95, 98 or me. There is no way around it. If person don't you know is an older drive, you can borrow for a few minutes, you will need, you will need to either buy a copy full XP or take the unit to a local computer professional to do the XP installation for you. Hello

If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.

    There is nothing to worry.

Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.

If you are using one of the above AntiVirus programs, this Information from David O - Support Engineer shows you how to manually enable Windows Defender (disregard information from uninstalling; not possible in Vista):

Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

I have a HP Pavilion A6700, when I went to upgrade to Vista 64 bit to win7 64-bit (win7) said I can't upgrade an OS to a 64 bit one, so I tried the other way and tried to install the 32-bit 32-bit version, and then I got the msg, you cannot pass an OS 64-bit for a
32 bit one, I looked in the system properties and it is running vista 64-bit
Other than a clean install what can I do to improve?
and if I do a clean install which are the files I need backup so I don't lose my data?

Make sure you have the latest Service Pack for Windows Vista installed. Which edition of Windows Vista 64-bit you're running and what edition of Windows 7 you are trying to upgrade to?

    Click Start
Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
    Click on "Run as Administrator"
At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow

This will check for any breach of integrity

    Restart your system

In addition, run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, it will scan your system and provide a report telling you if your PC can run Windows 7, and if there is no compatibility problems with your hardware or programs.
