  • Failed to install Adobe Acrobat Standard XI on the computer Windows 10 - missed installation error message

I recently updated my computer's hard drive and performed a clean installation on Windows 10 Home on my system.  I'm trying to reinstall my copy of Adobe Acrobat Standard XI (11.0.07).  However, installation is almost complete, and then the installation starts a restoration process and ends with "Installation interrupted".

At first, I tried to install the Adobe software via download Dell digital delivery, as the software was purchased about a year with the computer.   That option has failed, so I dared to Adobe's Web site and downloaded the Acrobat XI installation files myself and extracts.  Failed to install with this option.  I tried to run setup.exe as administrator and in compatibility with Windows 7.  Installation failed with the same error.  My first conclusion was perhaps the installation of Adobe file has been corrupted or the extraction process has worked correctly.  So, today, I downloaded the Adobe installation once more and extract the files.  Same results.

I even tried to use the troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows installation, this doesn't work anymore.

I also disabled my antivirus software and tried to run the installer with the antivirus disabled, and even once, it did not work.

The Adobe Acrobat installed through the installation process gets down to the last part where he goes to the copy of the new files, and then patch the files, and then at the very last minute, it turns into restoration and finally displays and error indicating that the installer interrupted.

Currently I'm under 10 Home Windows, 64 - bit and MS Office 2016.

  • Windows Vista SP2 installation error loop (x 64) 0xc0190036 error number

Hello, after installing SP2, I constantly make the same mistake, the bad thing is, insteath to back off, the SP2 update keep trying on and again and again to change the file that contains an error (file checks! error 0 x 00190036 mshtml.tlb!).
now... I think that microsoft really screw them this time, because the installation program runs in any mode of windows, that is to say, cannot go to safe mode to attempt to recover from there, it's just again ONCE the attempt to install the sloppy SP2, restart the computer does nothing, as the update again will activate itself , so I always end up stuck in this part of the file with this error code mshtml.tlb (it continues to blink constantly as his try again and again access the file)

    Specs: Windows Vista SP1 Ultimate x 64
    GA - X 48 - DS4
    Q6600 @ 3 Ghz Kentsfield.
    4 x 2 GB (8 GB ddr2 800 Mhz)
    Sapphire Hd 3870
    2 x Western Digital Caviar (500 + 160 Gb) + Seagate 250 GB
    Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Zs

Previous mistakes: I could never install IExplorer 8, it still reported a similar error, but with the ieunit file (don't remember the exact file currently extension)

so the question is: will there be a fix for this problem? or do I just simply restore and try to recover manually in the hardway (Ie, run the Vista cd repair tool)
im not wanting to use the repairtool, because he already ruined an once installation after a poor pass from windows update.

    * edit *.
just to correct the incorrect error code, the correct error code reported is: 0xc0190036

Sometimes the error is then replaced 0 x 0190002 then 0xc0190005 when stopping down.

Note that I am on windows vista ultimate SP1 x 64 = programmer Noob =-

    Hi Tamalero,

You got the error message indicates that mshtml.tlb is damaged and there is one possibility of other files system is corrupted as well. All what we need to do is to rename the DLLs corrupted, restart the computer and let start the computer normally to complete the installation. Follow these steps to rename the corrupted dll file.

    (1) Insert the windows vista dvd and boot from the dvd.

    (2) select repair your computer.

    3) click on command prompt

Type the following commands and press ENTER after each line

    C:

    CD windows

    CD system32

    Mshtml.tlb.old mshtml.tlb Ren

    (4) output from command line

    (5) restart the computer and boot up normally

If you GET the black screen with a similar error and one different (other than mshtml.tlb) file, make a note of the dll file, repeat steps 1 to 5 and type the name of the file in step 3.

Restart the computer. It may take a while and you will be asked to connect to the desktop computer.

Check in system properties if SP2 is installed.

I hope this works. If you still have problem please do after back...

    Thank you.

    Hi error_counter here:
do a "repair" is only starting problems, and once they are solved, the problem persists (mshtml.tlb error)
I tried to remove this file, but then the error from 0xc01900036 at 0 x 000034
so I'm stuck again, I don't know why the file mshtml.tlb is really important to "detect" If service pack updates it anyway.

and like I said, even though vista windows SP1 supposedly has DONE a system restore point, no system restore points were detected by the dvd (one of the things that I hate about Vista than their restore points are a draw, and you can get by no unnecessary work anytime..)

the thing which allow me to return back to SP1 followed the instructions of another post here, related to the error 0 x 000034 in this forum but for SP1.
I went to the c:\windows\system32 directory and renaming of software files, security, SAM and default and replace them with copies of the REGBACK folder in system32\config
It could back me to SP1, unfortunately a quirk stuck me then in an infinite "configuration updates 3 of 3" forever time it boots (it restarts itself after a few days). and had to delete pending.xml file

That did the trick... for now, since everything appears to be damaged (I can use the program and the work very well, but no file windows update will not work).
SFC detects inconsistencies but he did not get to 100%, it stops at 34% saying it had problems and "could not perform the requested operation."
I also tried different microsoft tools. as the URSCheck and he only says: "this update does not apply to your machine.

so I guess my whole installation is really really corrupt (and makes me really hate Vista more reason, until now almost all my facilities or computers other people that contains vista, are full of mistakes or quirkcs diferent that prevents normal use.)

so Im trying to install Windows 7 in another partition and Im thinking in whiping it that soon everything is installed there.

  • Windows 8 Pro Installation error 0xE0000100

When installing Windows 8 Pro, when I start the installation, I get an error saying

"Windows installation encountered an unexpected error. Check that the installation sources are accessible and restart the installation. "Error code: 0xE0000100.

I'm not able to install Windows and I don't have any OS installed on the PC. What should I do?

I just had this error and correct him.

In my case, I had an older version on Windows on the drive, but it really was a problem with the disk partition.

I started on a DVD of Win7, but I think a Win8 DVD should have available also.

Select the repair, since you don't have any OS installed you must get to a command prompt.  It's easier to do on the Win8 DVD, choose Advanced Options, and then command prompt.

The DVD of Win7, I had to choose repair.  He asks for your image.  Once again, since a new installation you do not have an image, click on the X as you would to close a program.  It takes you into the 'advanced repair options' and choose command line.

Run DISKPART, and he runs the utility.  He always seems to be a DOS window, but it is actually the DISKPART util, in that you are.  Change a drive letter and a folder to read only DISKPART

While in there, type HELP and it shows you all available commands.

    1. SELECT disk 0 (only drive in the system)
    2. LIST of partition
    3. SELECT PARTITION 1
    4. DELETE Partition 1 (I had already done while it was attached as a USB on my Win7 computer using the computer Manager, but he was still displayed as it when I posted using the Win8)
    5. Typed the LIST again once and there are no partitions.

It is not case-sensitive.  Type HELP if you need to find the exact command.  Type HELP command-NAME to get help on a specific command.

Replaced the Windows 8 DVD in the PC and ran... install everything correctly now

  • Connection Manager HP stopped responding + Windows Installer Error 1719

    I am running Windows 7 (SP1) 64-bit operating systems.

Started getting an error message of connection manager HP "HP Connection Manager Service has stopped responding.  Error code 8008005.

    HP Connection Manager v4.1.23.1 running.
When I try to install a new version of v4.4.10.1 (SP58930) HP connection manager, I get an error of Windows Installer 1719.  Tried different solutions recommended for this, but nothing has worked.

I see in the forum after this uninstall of the current version and then install the new version of the HP connection manager can solve my original problem.

Before uninstalling the currenet HP Connection Manager version, I wanted to be sure that I will be able to install the new version without encountering Error 1719.  I don't want to be in an even worse situation of not being able to the HP Connection Manager after you uninstall it.

Can I get confirmation from HP that I will be able to successfully install a new version after uninstalling the current version?

    ParryJM wrote:

A ran the Microsoft Fixit then tried to install it and got the Windows Installer Error 1719.

    Then uninstalled HP connection Manager.

Tried to install the HP (SP58930) connection manager and still have the error Windows Installer 1719.

What do you suggest I try next?

The fact that HP Connection Manager is no longer installed, how this will affect my computer?

The fact that it is no longer installed will have no effect on the functioning of your laptop and none on the operating system.

HP connection manager is simply a utility assistance for people who are making it difficult for the network through conections wifi and bluetooth connections.

If you are not in this group it is really useless.

From your description, it seems that if you can't follow instructions in the Microsoft fixit to the letter. By using the fixit is the easiest way to remove the registry entries and make changes to the registry that will allow installing and uninstalling software.  I can't recommend the methods that I use personally when I run on these issues because they involve access to the registry via regedit. The word people have never even heard of Regedit. Using Regedit can be a very bad thing for someone not experienced in the use of the registry editor.  All ch = angels did take place immediately and which included all the mistakes made during the access to the registry. Ongoing work on an operating system can fairly easily through the registry editor. Try the Microsoft fixit. It is a safe utility. Use it after an attempt to install and leave the window open until after error that does compete with the installation of the software.

If it isn't your game, then the Compatibility Center W7 says that is not compatibile. But it seems there are other versions that can run.

Make sure that your installation discs (if his coming to a CD/DVD) are all the scratches/dirt free and clean. A bad scratch or dirty mark on a disc can cause 'odd questions' sometimes.

There are a few things to try:

    1. find the Setup program you are running for the game and which run in XP compatibility mode.

2 in case of failure too and then try to run it in XP Compat mode and as administrator.

I noticed there are a few paths on the www, if you get it installed, it may be an idea to get patches and install them to the best game(check AV before installing).

    1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, clickStart, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    2. type the following command and press ENTER:

  • Modules of Windows Installer error: 126

My gateway has Vista Home Premium 64-bit with SP1. Windows updates do not work.

After doing some research, I discovered that avast anti-virus might have removed TrustedInstaller.exe which I believe may have something to do with the problem although TrustedInstaller.exe is always in C:/WINDOWS/services (that is, as far as I know the correct location). Also, when I open Services (start > Search "Services" > Services) and try to start the installer of Modules of Windows it gives me the error: 126 the specified module could not be found. This leads me to believe it may have something to do with my registry?
    sfc/scannow does not work.

Ive tried a number of bugs. One was the TrustedInstaller.exe copy from a computer of friends on my C:/WINDOWS/Services
I have also consulted with similar positions on this site unfortunately, nothing helped. I tried to install SP2 hoping that it would fix, but without the work of the installer of Modules of Windows I couldn't make it work.

I'm willing to try anything short of reformatting. Restoration is not an option that I do not have a restore point...

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Please explain in terms of beginners all the instructions that you may need to solve this problem, as I am little more than a beginner. Google is the only thing that made me this far :-)

OK people leave your freakout... the answer is and Google can find it. I fixed it on my own.

    My symptoms:

    • Windows update fails
    • Manual installation of the service pack fails
    • SFC fails
    • Windows Modules Installer (aka TrustedInstaller) does not work and returns error 126
    • .. other stuff, I don't remember fails
    • CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE error (0 x 80080005)

I read a number of discussions like this, here and on other sites. I tried the instructions above without success (although I can't be sure that they were not part of the solution). Then, I found this:

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/282940-Windows-Modules-Installer-error-126-fix.html

There are a lot of details, written in bad English, with screenshots provided. Here's what worked for me, partially copypasta and partially paraphrased for brevity and clarity:

I was missing the following registry key:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component base Servicing\Version.

    To fix:
    1. navigate to C:\Windows\Servicing\Version and read the name of a subfolder. It will be named something like 6.1.7600.16385. It's your ID of TrustedInstaller {}. Copy the name of this folder to the Clipboard (and paste in Notepad to guard).

    2. find a subfolder in C:\Windows\WinSxS whose name starts with:

    x86_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_ {TrustedInstaller ID} (Windows 32-bit)

    Amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_ {TrustedInstaller ID} (Windows 64 bit)

Copy the name of this folder to the Clipboard (and paste in Notepad to guard).

    3. create the subkey "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component base Servicing\Version". You take possession of the "component based Servicing" and then give you full access permissions before you can create the key.

    4. in the new Version key, creating 'extensible value' using the TrustedInstaller ID as its name and the full path of the folder that you have identified in WinSxS as being its value. Correctly, you must use %SystemRoot%\WinSxS\whatever instead of C:\Windows\WinSxS\whatever.
