On several occasions, that prompted my restart my computer.

After the second reboot, I realized that the administration tools have dissipeared. When you try to access the tools of Directors to this error message occurs

I tried to do a restore of the system for several days back, but failed.

Any ideas on how to recover the administrative tools?

  • my administrator account has disappearred

I have no idea what happened to the admin. account HELP!

Original title: my administrator account has disappearred and I have password protected it.  How can I reformat and reinstall windows7 without administrative privileges

    Hello

To reinstall Windows 7 you start either from the recovery disks that came with the computer or those that you have made since the partition of recovery according to the manufacturer's instructions; or the recovery of the manufacturer Partition, or by downloading the ISO file and the indications that follow below in this post.

None of the methods above should require an Admin password.

Here's more information on the above:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

Manufacturers that make normally for a fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery on the drive Partition hard reinstall Windows how much you bought your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Them or us ask the right sequence of key.

Or download the correct ISO file and make your own drive and use the product key located on the COA sticker.

    http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-image-downloads.12325/

And Neosmart has instructions on how to burn ISO disk images using imgburn:

    http://NeoSmart.NET/wiki/Burning-ISO-images-with-ImgBurn/

The COA sticker is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.

By using the downloaded ISO file method can require the Activation of phone.

If it does require phone activation, do not follow Auto guests, but hold on a real person explain as to what has been done for purposes of re-setup

"How to activate Windows 7 by phone '

The above method also requires that you go to your computer manufacturer's website > Support and downloads Section > locate your model number and operating system > then download and install the latest drivers for it.

    Hi Michaelthetruck,

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: I suggest you try the steps in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article and check.

"Access denied" error message when you try to open a folder

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/810881

Method 2: You can also take the owner of the file/folder, to steps, consult the following article:

  • The administrator account has disappeared from my computer running Windows XP Pro. How can this happen and how can it be solved?

I don't see that the clarification would help.

To retrieve the getting started welcome screen (in fact, many people want to know how to get the system to the way you have it, on the contrary), see--> http://windowsxp.mvps.org/noautologon.htm

Out of curiosity, use the command control userpasswords2 described on the link above and look at the list of users.

    You should have:

    • each account you created
    • an account named Administrator
    • an account named ASPNET; and
    • an account named comments

You have these accounts?  Specifically, you have an account named Administrator in more the one named Admin?

All Windows XP installations have a built-in account named Administrator.  This account should normally be reserved for emergency cases and therefore, is hidden in the home in normal mode screen once you have created your own user account (I don't remember if you have created an account with computer administrator privileges user, or if the creation of a user account allows to hide 'Administrator').  Although it is possible to rename the built-in account, doing so is not easy and not a good idea IMO.

  • During an update to Windows Vista, my office has disappeared with the task bar and start menu.

I can only access my and other programs through the Task Manager.  I have tried troubleshooting, I restore my computer on the eve of what has happened, but nothing helps.  Any ideas?

    Hi cthodges

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers Forums!

I would like to ask you a few questions to help focus in the right direction:

Are there other specific details that you can provide that will help us understand and solve your problem?

We can try a few steps and check if it works:

Run explorer.exe from the Task Manager > new > task. If the start menu reappears, it would confirm the cause.

We can now perform the following steps:

    Step 1:

Run an on-line analysis of your PC of malicious software:

If you want to scan your computer for malware and potentially unwanted on a Web site, please use the Windows Live OneCare safety scanner.

Windows Live OneCare safety scanner is an online service that lets scan you your computer to protect yourself, clean and operate at its best. Use our free protection scan to check and remove viruses, spyware and other potentially unwanted software and to find vulnerabilities in your Internet connection.

You can also run Anti-Malware on your computer. Follow the steps in this link:

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistasecurity/thread/ba80504b-61f1-4D71-960f-b561798b7b42

    Step 2:

To use a boot option, follow these steps:

    a. restart your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

    b. Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and press ENTER.

    c. when the boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in the bottom, select the installation that you want to start and then press ENTER.

If it works fine in safe mode, infer you that all third-party programs are causing the problem.

Put the computer in a clean boot (namely if any third-party software hinders the process)

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Check with step 1 (run a clean boot):-If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

(Note: after find you the problem causing the program, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program and also don't forget to put the computer to a normal startup)

    S tep 3 :

The SFC utility allows administrators to perform an analysis of all protected resources to make sure they are the correct version. Whether SFC should find all incorrect versions in one of these protected resources, SFC will be replaced by the correct versions.

You can still run a sfc on the windows vista computer scan. To run a scan suite sfc as follows:

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. at the command prompt type sfc/scannow , and then press ENTER.

  • Windows 8 almost everything has disappeared

I turned on the computer, on Wednesday morning, to find all kinds.  What follows has apparently disappeared:

    -all the desktop icons;

-all applications (the start menu is empty)

    -all the user files; all program files;

-under control panel, each option says there is "no items to display", which includes programs.

When I go to the file Explorer everything is white under the desktop, downloads, recent locations. This PC and libraries.  YET, under user name Network\my, I can find all my document files (no files) but am unable to open them.

I can always access chrome, explore and Skype in the taskbar, for some reason any.  Anything else will not work.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for the details.  This could mean that the file association is poorly defined in the registry, if the system does not know what steps to take when you double-click.

Can try you right click and choose 'Open' or 'open in a new window' to see if it shows anything this way?

If this isn't the case, we will try the method of BACK to see if we can access those files.  Open a command prompt in the folder, and then type the command like this:

    beginning

For example, if I was in my c:\users\skeene folder, I could type start documents to open documents and reach the files.

  • Developer tools has disappeared... no way to return with/without reset?

I use FF on my Windows XP machine for local web development work. I keep up to date, and I have several active extensions that are also all the updates. One day last week the submenu Web Developer lost half of its menu for no apparent reason. However, in a private browsing window, the menu is all back to normal. All troubleshooting suggestions (IE, the prefs to investigate) before proceeding to a full profile reset? See the image below

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

  • Windows Mail E-mail has disappeared from my Inbox.

original title: Windows Mail (Vista) - Emails disappearing

Since the beginning of may, emails hhave disappeared from my Inbox and I can't get back them.  They are not in my junk e-mail or deleted items folders or any folder in Windows Mail.  What's wrong?

Its likely your antivirus software (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).  You must get something more compatible with Winmail first (for example www.microsoft.com/security_essentials but disable the eml file type are analyzed).  Then, after removing the antivirus, remove your e-mail account, run WMUtil to compact and repair the database and then add your return email account again.

  • The Windows product key sticker has disappeared and cannot use it to activate

Windows product key sticker is missing at the bottom of my laptop and I can't do some of the latest figures, my laptop computer manufacturer did not provide any hardware Windows 7 or a disk and I contacted them and they won't help. My windows 7 is actually owner I have the sticker on the bottom of my laptop as evidence, can I send this to microsoft to help out me? also note, I had problems with my laptop and realizing that the hard drive has indeed not my old windows 7 installed and the hard drive is faulty, it cannot be extracted, that is the reason why I have a problem.

your manufacturer would have provided a recovery partition on your hard drive to recover windows. If your hard disk does not and you can't read your key, you will probably need to order from your manufacturer OEM recovery disks. (no key needed, because the OEM SLP key is embedded).

Try a bright light and a good magnifying glass to read your product key.

What happens if you use the shortcut of pressing 'e '? It does not appear? It is located with the rotation, scaling and shearing tools so if one of them is selected, it will appear in the control panel instead of the free transform tool.
