Windows 8 and Acrobat 9 Pro

Acrobat 9 Pro installation on a new computer with Windows 8, a disk (Yes, I have the key).  The program does not work after installation.

  1. Made a lot of installs and uninstalls the even going in and find files associated with Acrobat and remove them before installing another.
  2. The MS Windows 8 compatibility check and used (XP SP3) to recommended setting

Someone please tell me something that told me what special tricks that I do so he could install/work right.

    Hi rstrimel,

Acrobat 9 Pro has not been tested on Windows 8 and you might face compatibility problems.

  • "Cannot use adobe reader to view PDFs in your web browser" error in Windows 7 and Acrobat pro 8.1.7

I get the error 'cannot use adobe reader to view PDFs in your web browser.  Player will now stop.  Please exit your browser and try again"in Windows 7 x 32 and Windows 7 x 64 with Acrobat pro 8.1.7.  This occurs when you try to open a PDF file in Internet explore 8.0.760 or when I open a PDF file in Quickbooks 2008.  If I answer ok or cancel, the file opens normally.  If I open acrobat 8 first of all and then the pdf file opens as expected.  I also tried a copy of Acrobat reader, with no difference in the result.  Because this happens on two different computers a new copy of windows 7 x 64, the other, an upgrade to windows 7 x 32 and they used to work before moving to windows 7, I guess that there is some sort of incompatibility with windows 7 and acrobat.  Is this a known problem and will be fixed in an update to acrobat in the near future?

For Windows 7 you will need Adobe Acrobat 9.1.

    Hi pattiparrish,

ESD stands for electronic Software Distribution. Acrobat XI provided compact disc of thought which included installation CD, on the other hand it was also provided by ESD, which included the direct download for Acrobat link XI products download Adobe Acrobat | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X.

There is no difference in the application, the difference, it's just that how it is provided to the customer.

  • Issues of compatibility windows 7 and acrobat 6.0

issues of compatibility windows 7 and acrobat 6.0

You have a question? AA6 is not fully compatible with Win7, probably not at all to a 64-bit system. The recommendation is to buy AAXI. If you manage to install AA6 on Win7, you can optionally change the port of the Adobe PDF printer to FILE and then print to file. It is a PS file and will then be run through Distiller to obtain a PDF file. This may or may not work for you. I've experimented with AA5 and managed in this way for a Win7 32-bit system. Not a great solution, but it may meet your need.

  • Acrord32.exe (Windows 7 and Acrobat cc) breaking, can not save the changes, Windows Explorer crash earlier

Recently decided to upgrade to Acrobat DC after discovering that she will allow me to OCR files that previously forced me to spend of TIFF, and then back.

I downloaded the program and installed today.  I was the conversion of Acrobat 9.  After that I started uninstalling Acrobat 9 Pro, Windows Explorer has started crashing.  I finally restored the computer

I checked the Microsoft forums to see what could have gone wrong, and they seem to indicate that I should run sfc in the prompt, then see if there are problems in the registry. Here, of course, began with today or yesterday (which doesn't make sense - not sure that the report gave me irreparable files, or both fixed and fixed, or what). Other research suggests that I do a disk cleanup, and since then I had the problem of Windows Explorer.

I tried then just install Acrobat DC on Acrobat 9.  This seemed to work properly.  However, now I have problems with Acrobat to crash (although the window remains open?). The message says that acrord32.exe is the culprit.  In addition, a number of my PDF files cannot be replaced - if I want to save my changes, I have to save to a different folder, delete the old file and move the other in its place.

It's basically a nightmare, and I lost a ton of productivity today putting out fires.  Do not have these problems until I started playing with Acrobat.

    Please give me some suggestions.

    Thank you

In fact, I could hope to find the solution on this thread:

Adobe Reader DC contains errors and crashes with Windows Server R2 2012

Going to see how it goes with the preview pane disabled (although she will suck if I can't use TI - hope you guys who patch).

Also, add a folder by the instructions under C:/User / [USER] / AppData.

In the hope that this problem will be solved in between.

EDIT: It looks like it fix the problem.  Acrobat Pro DC now works without any problem.

  • Problems with Office 2010 and Acrobat 8 Pro

    Good Day All;

We are in the middle of upgrading Windows XP to Windows 7 with Office 2010 and I was wondering if there are problems with importing Office documents in Acrobat 8 Pro. I discovered that there is some problem with office 201 and designer of the life cycle.

    Any comments would be useful

    Concerning

    Chomp

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Microsoft Office 2010 and PDFMaker plugin is not installed. Only Acrobat X is compatible with Office 2010and at that time in 32-bit mode.

Acrobat 8 is also not officially compatible with Windows 7, once again Acrobat X is the first version to include accreditation for this OS. It will still install, but Adobe cannot guarantee, it will work perfectly in all cases and does not provide any support for this combination installation.

  • Windows 7 and Acrobat 6.0 Standard.

My previous PC was a Vaio running Windows 7. I had Acrobat 6.0 Standard running beautifully on this subject. Now, I try to install the same Acrobat 6.0 Standard on a Dell running Windows 7 and I get a message that says Adobe 6 and Windows 7 are not compatible. But it worked (and still works) on my other machine. What I am doing wrong?

There's not a chance of installing the printer Adobe PDF of Acrobat 6 on any 64-bit system. Perhaps you have previously had a 32-bit system.

  • Windows 8 and Acrobat 5.0

I recently bought a new computer with Windows 8.  On my old system (Windows 7), I used Adobe Acrobat 5.0.  My recommended tech against the loading and executing Acrobat 5 on my new system, because he felt it wouldn't work.  He suggested that I contact you for assistance.  Do you have any suggestions?  Thank you.

It is surprising that it works on Windows 7 and doubtful that it will work on Windows 8.  You are always welcomed to try to install it, but don't get your hopes up.

  • Conflict between 10 Reader and Acrobat 9 Pro, but Dreamweaver does need Acrobat?

I was trying to understand why Adobe Reader 10 would not print a simple PDF of a page containing only text information distributed by the federal Government. I found a message about this in the Adobe forums where the person said, they should not have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and Adobe Reader 10 installed at the same time. Well, I think I know that remove Acrobat Pro is dangerous, because when I installed Adobe Dreamweaver CS5, spy said that acrobat 9 Pro should be installed first before Dreamweaver CS5 would work. Anyone understand this? Maybe I should remove Reader 10 instead and just open and print PDFS with Acrobat? This is what has worked with the Government PDF I just mentioned.

To meet the side of DW, DW doesn't have Acrobat for nothing as far as I know.  Acrobat is installed before the rest of the suite (assuming you have more) because Acrobat has never been a real part of the suite and is on a completely different life cycle than the rest of the suite.  That's why no CS 5.5 to include Acrobat X.  And it is true what you've heard that you should not mix Pro and reader.  Is there a reason that you need Acrobat Reader X on your machine?  Was there really a leader out there who does not open in version 9?

If Acrobat gives you bad I recommend to uninstall the version of Player X and let the pro version.  Due time we are out there, I think it unlikely that a version of CS5 will be released and the integration of Acrobat X suite do not take place until Creative Suite 6 is out.

  • Is no longer able to save to a. PDF using any program of CS3 and Acrobat 8 Pro

I spent several hours on the phone with Apple and Adobe, today it seems that Snow Leopard and nothing below Acrobat 9 Pro and InD 4 are no longer compatible export, print or save as one. PDF.  Using Acr. Pro 8 and InD CS 3 someone find a solution?  I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.1.

I'm a MAC user for less than 2 years.  What I do need to update Adobe Suite whenever it upgrades?  A flow very financially, because I'm not a graphic designer.

Apple Tech-always wonderful, but unable to help sent me this: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/509/cpsid_50981.html

. PDF printer continues to work very well on all the ADOBE programs not.

Right now my only work around is to send my InD file to a friend who had InD. CS4 and asks him to save as PDF for me and sent the backfile.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    GB

PS_Adobe wants that I pay $39 to talk to a technician agent - this support is already a documented problem.  Not a matter of "my MAC."  I find it disturbing.

You get the users of these two bands in the pros. As you can probably, Bob is the one who throws himself in immediately to start the test (but it does NOT convert its production machines to a new operating system until he was convinced that everything is up to par). I tend to expect that people like Bob have found bugs in an OS and sevice at least a press release has been published. On the other hand, while I used to wait about six months after the release of upgrade of Adobe products, I find for the last two cycles that I do much earlier. I find also that report a few bugs.

I keep the old versions available for years, to allow me to work on existing projects in the original format and to be able to get a project at the door when just something in the new version does not work (like some aspects of merge data in CS4). It's sort of the belt and braces approach.

I also work with printers that don't improve as fast as I do. This was never a problem because I send PDFS, files not natives.

  • RH 7 and Acrobat 6 Pro

In my version of HR 7, 'Generate Adobe PDF' option is grayed out in the printed Documentation dialog box, although I have installed Acrobat 6 Pro.

At first I though it was because my Arobat obtained 6 corrupt installation (I lost somehow the PDF printer).

So I did a complete reinstall of Acrobat Pro 6 and RoboHelp 7. The option is still grayed out.

    Any suggestions?

    Version 6 is not compatible.

No upgrade, your only option is to generate a Word document, then PDF there from there. You will then need to check the results.
