Hello

1 did you changes to the computer before this problem?
2 are connected to the system as an administrator?
3 is the specific issue confined to a .exe file?
4. are you able to open other files successfully?

Method 1: Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 3 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Check if a virus is the cause of the problem.

Method 2: Run a virus online scan to check if any infected virus at the source of the problem.

Run Microsoft Online Scanner.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have other problems with Windows in the future.

OK, this photo shows that, for this file in particular, he arrived without security (she won't say "SECURE").

My money is on the files actually being assured, rather than to be wrong in Acrobat.

    That leaves two main possibilities.

    1. all the files you want to secure. It is now a very common practice. If the files are public we could take a look; If not, you could ask the creators.

    2. you have certain processes in your organization that adds security for downloaded files. That seems unlikely, but it is not impossible. And the fact that it didn't happen in the cases we have tested suggests that it is not done universally.

  • None of my programs will open or run, cannot run the files downloaded from the internet, either to try to resolve it.

I am running windows XP Pro and am unable to open any programs at all.  I was uninstalling some programs add and remove applications in Control Panel and I think I deleted a necessary program, file or something because right afterwards none of files or programs would be open. I get the error the file extension that is not associated with this file. I can't open the system restore program to restore the computer to an earlier configuration. I tried to get a regestry cleaner to fix regestery errors, but none of those I work. I am able to get on the internet and e-mail but am afraid the computer because it cannot be started again. I tried to load a regestery cleaner from the internet but nothing will load or run it. Help!  I also tried to change the program that opens files, but went wrong, and now all files are associated with windows internet explorer 8. I have no idea how I did all this and come back to this computer from the place of the computer because the old hard drive died on me and they put in another. It was working fine until I felt the need to clear up disk space and delete some old programs. I'm sure I messed up and deleted a file that was necessary to open others. I don't have the XP disk to try a fix and nothing in the pages of microsoft download will run. Oh please I don't want to take that back to the computer type that will charge me an arm and a leg. I just made him pay $ 200 last week. Any help will be great.

  • my windows 7 disc is scratched - then - I download from the internet

buy windows 7 pro and does not need 64 disk and now I'm doing but is scratched.  can I drop from the internet and use my key

Installation may stop if the system cannot copy files. Here are some possible causes and solutions for this problem:

Try to clean your Windows installation disc. It could be scratched, stained or dirty. Clean the disc with a soft cloth, insert it in the CD or DVD drive, and then start the Windows installation again. If your installation disc is damaged, you may need to replace it. For more information, go to how to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and upgrades and replace manuals of products on the Microsoft Web site. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246/en-gb)

Make sure that your CD-ROM or DVD drive is not working properly. If it isn't, the disc may be vibrating too much for the laser correctly read data. For more information about this problem, see your hardware documentation or contact the manufacturer of the CD or DVD drive.

If your computer has multiple CD or DVD drives, make sure that your computer is trying to locate the files on your drive. If your computer has a feature to disable CD or DVD drives that are not used, turn off readers that you don't use. Otherwise, try to insert the disc in a different drive, and then restart the installation.

Check for a virus on your computer. Run an antivirus program to scan your system and to identify the necessary repairs. Don't forget to disable the antivirus before you start the installation again.

  • VISTA does not install the files downloaded from the Internet

    Howdy!

I am newly working on a VISTA machine at work (little church, I am the new pastor and clearly the most tech-savvy person around). When trying to install a few useful programs, I met a problem: I have download the installation files and try to run them, but nothing is really happening. I get the "Open file - security warning" screen, and I click on 'Allow' or 'Run' or something. Then nothing. If I go in the Manager of tasks, I find the executed program, ostensibly at the bottom of the list using 100 K of memory, but the installers never open and nothing never progresses beyond this point.

I'm running on the Administrator profile, and I even tried clicking on "Run as Administrator". Nothing helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello

    • What type of program you are trying to run?

    You can view these methods:

    Method 1:

I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Configuration of your system in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Note:
after a repair, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    Method 2:

Turn off UAC and check if the problem persists.

    1. open Control Panel.
    2. under the user account and family settings click on the "add user account / remove."
    3. click on one of the user accounts, for example, you can use the guest account.
    4. in the user account, click on the link "go to the main page of the user account.
    5. under "Make changes to your user account", click on the link "change security settings".
    6. in him "turn User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure" click to deselect the "use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer. Click the Ok button.
    7. you will be asked to restart your computer. Do when you're ready.

Warning: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

  • I can not display all images downloaded from the internet on Windows 7

OK, so I just Windows 7.  I am trying to save documents that my teachers put up online in the form of a pdf file.  However when I try to open them I recorded them in Picasa it appears as a black box, saying "invalid Image".  In the Photo Viewer Windows it says "Could not be opened because the file format is not supported or you do not have the latest updates for the Windows Photo Viewer."  But I installed the latest version, as well as the latest Picasa.

Also, I'm fully able to open other images (the ones I imported out of my phone etc.)

    What is the problem?

    Thanks in advance!

PDF is not a picture itself, but you need a PDF reader to open them. Either try

Good alternative to Adobe Reader is Foxit

  • Windows XP does not have exe files

My computer has been infected by a virus that exceeded AVG 9.
I removed the virus using Malwarebytes but after deleting Windows does not recognize exe files more.
I tried to restore to a point before the infection, but I had recently cleaned up but a restore point and virus was present after the restoration.
I also checked the registry and checked all the entries associated with the exe files and found no errors... Suggestions that don't involve wiping the entire hard drive?  I really want to do it AGAIN... It would be the second time in a year.

This is a popular remedy for this condition:

Go to this site WWW by Doug Knox:

    http://www.dougknox.com/

On the left, click on the Win XP fixes, file Association fixed and read the instructions at the top of the page.

Download the EXE File Association Fix on your desktop, unzip the file and apply it by following the instructions at the top of the page, then to restart and test.

Whenever I launch Firefox 20 Mac OS X 10.7.5, I get the warning message by clicking "" Firefox"is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it? ». How can I stop this? There are displays on internet and previous assignments on this resolution by using Terminal commands for OS X 10.5.x & 10.6.x, but these commands do NOT work in 10.7.x or 10.8.x. This seems to be a problem of Firefox ONLY, and resolve by disabling the recommended world of security features to OS X, as before in a previously closed thread appears as a solution really BAD. Is there a "Firefox" solution only, or I will have to just to stop using Firefox?

Make sure that Firefox is installed correctly.

Open the Firefox disk image (DMG) file and drag the Firefox program in the folder of the application on your hard drive.
You should not double-click the Firefox application to run from the disk image and drag it out of the DMG file instead.

If you have been Babylon when you installed Firefox you may have installed it from an authoritative source (the only official place and secure to download Firefox from www.getfirefox.comEast). Please, never download Firefox from anywhere else.

So, for your computers, be sure to download Firefox from www.getfirefox.comand you download the version official, convenient and safe.
