Windows 8 Ethernet

Can someone please help me to connect my new Surface Pro, Windows 8, running on my LAN, that works well with my old laptop (Windows 7) and my even older desktop (Windows XP)? I have an Ethernet USB 6 KY - 88772A adapter, which works fine on the laptop Win7.

Hello

Oops thought you said RT for some reason any (probably because I have a Surface of 2 not a Pro).

Well, if there are drivers, it should work. Check with the manufacturer support and Surface feature

  • Aspire 5560G without Windows Driver Ethernet 10

    Hi Acer community.

    I just registered here today that I need to ask a question about my computer Aspire 5560 G laptop problem.

    A few days ago, I installed my version of Windows from Windows 7 to Windows Home 64 bit 10.  Everything was good except that I had some problem with my AMD Catalyst driver and software, but I managed to solve it, so all was well with my graphics card.

    I checked in the Device Manager, and I can't find any problems at all, which would be generally represented by a yellow exclamation point icon.  So I assumed everything was good.

    But, recently, I tried to plug the cable to my laptop, just to see if it is working because it was working before.  I don't use a ethernet cable, I use wifi to connect to my router wirelessly, but just in case, I just wanted to check on my ethernet connection if it works or not.

    Right after I plugged my ethernet cable, there is nothing that's happened.  There are flashing on the socket and static yellow light, but no connection is established.  I checked on the icon of networking on the right side of the taskbar, but of course there is no connection.  I guess that the icon would be immediately transformed into connection ethernet as it supposed to be.

    I already install the drivers and all works perfectly, except the ethernet connection.  I tried to install the driver for the ethernet manually, but Device Manager keep showing me that the driver does not work.  I downloaded the latest version of the driver, but nothing come to success.

    So, I really hope I can find the answer here, because I think that I tried in many ways and tried several times just to get the job of ethernet.  I cannot use the ethernet and can not use it to connect to the internet, but I don't like the feeling of having a device that is not 100% working, lol.  I hope you guys understand.

    Here are the screenshots of my system which may help.

    List don't drop-down no problem on my list of driver, but as far as I'm concerned, there should be more under the network adapters.

    That my wifi adapter is available in the configuration of network connections.

    Hi there brummyfan2,

    Sorry for the late reply.  I tried your solution but it didn't work.  Fortunately, the problem has been resolved.  I guess that Windows Update automatically fix problems because I noticed one of the downloads from Windows Update list is the driver Ethernet himself.  I'm guessing that solved the problem.  Now, I can see the driver visible in the drop-down list of the NICs (Device Manager) and the adapter settings window.

    Anyway, thanks a lot for your comments.  I really appreciate it.

  • Installed Windows 7, Ethernet and Wireless does not. No HP tool... Help.

    Long story short, I had to install Windows 7 and I used to have the HP support on my laptop but I don't do that anymore. I own a HP Pavilion G7 1329wm. 4 GB of Ram, AMD Vision of A6, MCE don't know what else to say except that I have a sticker that says "HP first Experience".

    I plugged in an Ethernet cable for the mdoem, lights on the modem so I know that works, I plugged the ethernet cable into my laptop, and a white light came through the ethernet jack in. I tried to diagnose the problem in network and sharing, but nothing comes. No connection even if the modem is internet radio and I'm sure that I'm on another computer with the same access to the network. Can I get help?

    Hello:

    The ethernet controller is:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-100079-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=4063&Product=5218722&sw_lang=

    You must visit the AMD site for the SM Bus controller, because it is part of the chipset driver that is not taken in charge of your PC and driver page.  Download and install the drivers for the chipset Windows 7 from the link below

    http://support.AMD.com/us/gpudownload/Windows/pages/raid_windows.aspx#2

    The PCI device is probably the realtek card reader that needs a driver.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-103100-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=4063&Product=5218722&sw_lang=

    Because there can be a lot of different styles of cards installed in your laptop wireless, I need to display the ID of the hardware for the network controller element.

    If you do not know how, please read this guide where they show you how to find one. Just do the same thing for the network controller.

  • Windows 95 Ethernet adapter does not work

    Hello

    I have created a machine virtual windows 95 and followed the instructions exactly in the link below.

    Documentation for VMware for Windows 95

    However, the network adapter does not work.  I have the latest version of VMware tools installed, but it does not seem to include any network card driver.

    I tried to download the driver for AMD PCNET Family Ethernet Adapter (PCI and ISA) from the AMD website, but that doesn't work anymore.  I have a virtual machine running Windows 95.  However, he created an image of a physical machine.  The ethernet adapter works fine on this machine, but there is no driver installed - does not require a apparently.

    If anyone has an idea on how to make the ethernet card works, I would be eternally grateful!

    Here is the configuration I have for the Windows 95 VM I created:

    . Encoding = "windows-1252".

    Sound.AutoDetect = "TRUE".

    roamingVM.exitBehavior = 'go '.

    displayName = "7Win95."

    guestOS = "win95".

    virtualHW.productCompatibility = "hosted".

    extendedConfigFile = "7Win95.vmxf".

    IDE1:0. FileName = 'D: '.

    floppy0.FileType = "peripheral".

    floppy0.clientDevice = "FALSE".

    Replay.Supported = "FALSE".

    ide0:0. Redo = «»

    pciBridge0.pciSlotNumber = "17".

    scsi0.pciSlotNumber = "16".

    ethernet0.pciSlotNumber = "32".

    sound.pciSlotNumber = "33".

    Try changing line ethernet0.virtualDev = "vmxnet' to 'vlance.

    Once the AMD driver is installed and running, THEN you can try to change the vmxnet driver, by repairing the VMware Tools on the guest.

  • Windows Vista Ethernet driver

    My Ethernet driver has been accidentally deleted. How can I determine the manufacturer so that I can get a replacement. Alternatively, are there other sites where I could download the driver?

    Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

    The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

    See you soon.

  • Unidentified network Windows 7 Ethernet or wireless work

    Question: Good so I have a computer that refuses to access the internet/local network. It just says: a Public unidentified network (which it isn't) other computers work fine ive tried to take it to a completely different network and tried to use a wireless card. No dice. Ive tried "netsh" orders, all the commands ipconfig. manual setting of the address of the network card in the advanced configuration of the network card. its an IBM all in a thinkcentre a70z and a realtek PCIe GBE adapter. It drives me crazy. His car is not an address ip of the dhcp and ive manually adds the gateway address. any suggestions before I chuck this thing out the window?
    I don't have the service Hello or quicktime.

    I deleted all of the antivirus
    I disabled IPv6

    It turns out that it was the motherboard and it had to be toggled with me.

    Can someone help me?

    HM, tried with a live distribution of linux like Ubuntu? I highly recommend that you try it and if the network card is removed when using Linux then it s certainly a hardware related problem. But before you try linux, you need to update your BIOS and everything by default.
