Windows 8 Media Center will not install, get useless message error "something went wrong".
I have the version upgrade of Windows 8 Pro and can not install Media Center.
I signed up for a key that was sent to me and past the initial check whenever I try to install it.
I check the checkbox for the conditions once the key is successfully verified.
I then get the bar of green progression for the verification of updates and after about 30 seconds, I get the error message 'something went wrong '.

Windows Media Center will not install Internet TV
I have Windows 7 Premium 32 bit running on my system. I use to be able to use the Internet TV feature in Windows Media Center, but it has stopped working. A few weeks ago, I had to reset to a previous system config and then tried to watch today. Had to re - download the file and then received the window that says:
"This is a problem during the installation. Please try again later. »
I did and he gave me the same thing. I followed the advice of post http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itpromedia/thread/bd80b0c7-7580-411c-b9fd-efacc61aa619 but that didn't work. Other thoughts?

Windows 7 Media Center will not download the new guide listings
Hello
I am really frustrated. WMC will not download the new guide listings and I tried all the patches that are supposed to be that I found in this forum. I also tried the system restore, which did not fix the problem. Obviously the problem is not affected by the restore program.
I was able to determine that there is some kind of corruption of the WMC files that Windows 7 can not solve (according to the event log).
I'm a bit exasperated at the tenacity of this problem. Y at - it a reliable fix or I need to reinstall Windows 7?
Thank you

PlayReady in Media Center will not update.
PlayReady in Media Center will not update. The message is "PlayReady update was incomplete. "You can watch or save protected content until the update is successful. All attempts to return the same error. Netflix also only a black screen shows when you watch a movie. Live TV works except HBO which is protected against copying. How can I fix?
Hi William,.
Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.
From the problem description, I understand that you have problems with the PlayReady Media Center update on Windows 8 computers. I will certainly help you in this regard.
Try these methods and see if it makes a difference.
Method 1
Loan will not update if the date is wrong. I suggest you to check if the system date and time is correct.Method 2
Temporarily disable your firewall settings and check if you are able to update.
Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Method 3Open Windows "Services" via the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
With Media Center open and show "the PlayReady update was incomplete. Do you want to retry? "Go to the 'Services' Panel you just opened and scroll all the way up to"Services Windows Media Center Receiver", double-click it, then click on"Stop ".Navigate to the folder ReadyPlay HIDDEN (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady), and then delete the mspr.hds file.
Return to the OPEN & CONTINUES, Media Center and click 'Yes' and 'Next' to the question of the PlayReady update. He should immediately zip past and say update complete & you can watch and record the protected against copying.
Carry out these methods and let us know if you need more assistance. I'll be happy to help you.

Windows Media Center - I get an error message indicating that Windows Media Center will not open
Hello

I have run the System File Checker (sfc/runnow} wich ligate without flaws. Finally, I deleted the file mediacenterdatastore which has also no effect. The last thing I want to do is reinstall my operating system, once again, so has anyone out there have any more ways to fix this error... Help! Thanks in advance

"Windows Media Center is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled"
I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition and Windows Media Center gives me an error that reads "Windows Media Center is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled." When I try to install Windows Media Player from the Microsoft website I gives me an error saying I need to download "Update cumulative 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition". Once I have download, I get a different error message indicating that I have to download '.NET Framework 1.1 and .NET Framework 1.2 SP1' before I can continue with the update for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. I download that and received a message that is not a valid Win32 application. I can not understand what is happening or how to fix it. I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling, but over the years, I lost track of the product key. Does anyone know how can I fix? Thank you, in advance.

Hello
You won't get HDTV without a Digital Cable Ready tuner and a cable card. How about you
will have need a HDCP compatible graphics card and a TV/monitor taking support this
as well.
The kit Hauppage offers is substantially the same as I told you.clear QAM availability varies according to the cable company. most begin to encrypt
everything.> The same can be done through Windows Media Center, by clicking the video image by clicking on Zoom. But in MCE when you have a cable box, you will also need an approved Microsoft IR blaster to control the cable box. If you n? not have this part, you will get the IR hardware not found error. The HVR - 950 Q does not come with this, but if you really want to use Media Center, you can buy a kit from our online store here http://store.hauppauge.com/hardware2.asp?product=mce_remote remote"

Windows vista media center does not I can uninstall and reinstall?
Windows vista Media Center has been installed, but will not respond. How can I fix this problem?
Hello
You cannot uninstall or reinstall
Try this:
Run the sfc/scannow command.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833
Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
- Type the following command and press ENTER:sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions
How to analyze the entries in the log file generating the program Checker (SFC.exe) resources of Microsoft Windows in Windows Vista

If SFC detects the main problems it can't fix you may need to borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation
read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation

HP Solution Center will not install
I installed the F4180 Deskjet on my Windows 2000 computer. Printer works fine but I wanted to check the ink levels and could ' t find the HP Solution Center software. No registration under program files. So I released the CD and tried to install again. There was never an indication that he was installing the Solution Center or HP photosmart software. So I clicked on run and entered in D:/Setup/SolutionCenter. It finds the file solutioncenter.msi and a list of zip files that are identified as central to solution. I have dbl. solutioncenter.msi-click and I get the message "Setup has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2732. "So I uninstalled everything and only reinstalled under mode in advance where I am supposed to be able to approve all items being installed. Well it has finished installing and the last screen said there may be additional screens that appear to guide you through the intstallation of additional software. No screens never not appeared, and I still haven't installed HP or HP Photosmart software solutions Center. The CD is damaged? How can I get this software?
Thanks for your help.
The Solution Center will not install on Windows 2000. It is not a bug/problem, but that's just the way it was designed (don't ask me why). If you need to check the ink level, then you have to go to the Toolbox of the printer on the printer properties page.
