Windows 8 Pro gel on HP Pavilion dv7-1103ea

Hello

Just upgraded my HP Pavilion dv7-1103ea to Windows 8 Pro after using the overview of consumption and it keeps freezing for a few seconds every 5 or 10 minutes. He did it on the beta version as well but I thought it would be fair that the OS is not final, but now that it is and it freezes again is a bit annoying. Y at - it freezes anyway to find this driver needs to update maybe or what are the causes? They seem to be more frequent at startup.

See you soon

  • Pavilion model 11-n001sa: installing Windows HP pro on the HP Pavilion model No. 11 - n001sa

I replaced the original hard disk, it was windows 10 installed.

This small laptop is idea for my Renault Clip software, so we need to install Windows XP pro.

I tried different setting in the bios, XP is listed, theres so no reason for it not install it!

Using windows XP pro sp 2 & 3 installation disc, but keep the blue screen dreaded towards the end of the installation.

Come on HP, I need your advice please.

    Hello:

There is a very good reason that XP does not install.

Intel did not provide any sata ahci drivers for the chipset that has your laptop.

That's why you got the BSOD.  XP cannot find the hard drive.

The latest processors from Intel-based notebook chipsets which had support for XP have laptops with the 7 Series chipsets.

Not to mention the fact that you wouldn't find any graphic or wireless drivers for XP even if you can get it (that you can't) install.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 keys does not work

Since I've upgraded to Windows 7 Pro on my HP Pavilion (dv7 - 1223ca), several keys on my keyboard have not been working properly. I've upgraded and downgraded my computer several times, and this has not happened before. When I press the G, H, BACKSPACE or the apostrophe key, they will not work unless I press one of them around thirty or forty times. As soon as I get one of them working, they begin to work properly for about five minutes, and then it goes back to the break.

It is a major problem that I use my laptop for work. I tried to reinstall the drivers for the keyboard, but this did not help. Someone at - it ideas?

Also, two of the keys on my keyboard (alt and del) went out completely and don't come back. Is there a chance HP would be able to replace these?

On the key that came to the wide, you will need to replace the entire keyboard, i.e. If you are unable to insert this back...

Keys does not, this looks like a keyboard problem, but we can check in the BIOS as well. In the BIOS, go to security, select Admin password and press on enter, now try and test the keys here, if it doesn't there as we have confirmed the problem keyboard...

  • Pavilion DV7 - 1038ca Windows 7 - remote control does not

    Hi all

Because I updated the OS to Windows 7, the remote control for windows media center does more work. I am now running a windows 7 Ultimate 64B on a Pavilion DV7 - 1038ca.

I read a lot of posts and so far I have found this:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-78236-1&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&... but it doesn't seem to work for me as an error (9996).

Is there something I can do?

    Thank you.

Simply because the tension seems ok doesn't mean it's all good, if it's heading 2006. Current stored in batteries, it's what makes their work.

  • After installing windows XP Pro my computer does not start correctly

After you have installed Windows XP Pro on my HP Pavilion (updated to XP home), my computer will not end the restart process.  I have repeatedly in a loop once the blue screen with the HP logo.  When this has happened before after installing a pack of updates for XP Home, we just started in safe mode and then had it will restart at an earlier time, thus eliminating the updates.  However, now when I try to start in safe mode, I get an error message that says: "Windows Setup cannot start in safe mode" and I leave safe mode.  We hoped that by installing Windows XP Pro, this problem should go away.  Can anyone help?  I have read several other entries in the forum for similar problems, but they all have to do with updates.  This is the first time I was not able to use safe mode, so now I'm stuck.  I hope that I can avoid having to perform a full system recovery, since it is a long involved process and having once before, I always felt the same restart problems after installing updates.

    PA bear,

Thank you for help... After reading several posts in the forum, one of them reminded people to check with the manufacturer of the computer so that possible solutions... and this is the solution here, I wish I thought of him earlier... I did a system recovery to remove the Windows HP Pro and return to the original version of the default value.  Then I went to the HP site and downloaded the patch according to their directions.  Problems fixed! :-)

Any PERSON HAVING HARD REBOOT YOUR HP PAVILION (with an AMD processor) after you install Windows XP service pack 2 or 3 updates:

HP has a patch that solved all my problems.  Clearly, service packs contain information for Intel processors that is in conflict with AMD processors in many HP Pavilion desktop computers.  You can go to their customer service solutions website and download the patch.  Since I did it, I had no other problems. I wish just that I had discovered the solution until I had to do a full system recovery.

If your computer hangs on reboot 'loop', see if this info. HP will help you:

The computer restarts after a Stop error message display 0x0000007E (after update with Service Pack 3 for Windows XP)

If you have had problems with XP updates, including service pack 2 or 3, try this page:

  • Pavilion dv7-4269wm 8.1 update problem

Try to update windows 8 to 8.1 and Pavilion dv7-4269wm does not start in windows. failed to retrieve

    Hello MechPilot,

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

After the other pure full install win 8 and diligently do all the updates and patches. And verification of the latest drivers for Windows 8.  Everything works great.  Then came victory 8.1 installation update of the windows store.  No luck. Same problem as before. Windows 8.1 will not work. He went into "Recovery screen. It seems that windows has not loaded correctly"once AGAIN.

Chatted with the technology from Microsoft that has managed to take control of my laptop. He ran a scan to find corrupted system files. 100% OK.   My activation key has been authorized.  He has tried several things but was unable to start correctly in windows. The second Microsoft technology repeated the same tests, but it also seemed perplexed.  Why it run ok with 8 victory, but not with the victory. 8.1 (only in safe mode)

I asked if it was possible that when windows 8.1 updates, he would check for the latest drivers and load a new video driver that is not compatible with this laptop. Possible.

Then I disabled the graphics card in the device (in safe mode) Manager.  Restarted the computer and windows 8.1 came to life, with no error message. But in lower resolution.  Windows find no driver loads a generic driver of the weak reference that worked. Then I went to the web site of the graphics card and downloaded the "Windows 8" driver!   Windows 8.1 NOT THE MOST CURRENT driver. Of course, the latest video driver will not work with this laptop. The next earlier version seems to work very well.

Thanks to the support of fine hand-holding technology at Microsoft and your fine concern and assistance, I don't give up, and something finally worked. Wooooopee!

Keep your good work and thank you so much.

  • Problem on HP Pavilion dv7-6c90el with Windows 8 Pro x 64 on video card

    Good evening

I just finished installing Windows 8 x 64 Win7 Pro, I could find all the drivers for my laptop, but I have problems with the video card settings.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv7-6c90el with two graphics cards, one managed by the processor, because it seems to do, and the other is normally installed on the PC.

The cards are read by Windows as:

Unit 1: Intel HD Graphics 3000
Unit 2: AMD Radeon HD 6700 m Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.20)

the problem lies in the fact that the device must be a supported per second, or disabled, as it will not be. AMD video card must be set to 1 and the intel 2. If I go to the "Device Manager" to disable the card intel Windows, it works as if he was absent any video card, also installed driver is not correct because the card is an AMD Radeon HD7690M XT, the problem is that even if I uninstall this driver then always comes back. I also tried to download AMD Catalyst in the latest version, but can't find the card. It's as if the windows are imposed only use the unit 1, which, however, I can not disable the BIOS, because there is no voice. I note that Windows 7 had no problem.

I ask you to help me because I need the video card for my work performance.

Fixed the link - please try again

    Hi Wawood

Thanks for your solution. I've tried, but it does not work what so ever. I guess I better to forget and take my lost. Quite sad but its one of the things that fact you win and you lose a game. • Install Windows Xp on the Pavilion dv7 - 1147ca, no audio drivers. How can I find them?

Recently, I've killed my Pavilion dv7 - 1147 Vista ca for the edition of office Xp Pro. I could find the drivers for pretty much everything, but I can't work in my audio drivers. I looked around, but really can't find anything on my product, in terms of troubleshooting. I don't really know what that you guys need information, so ask and I can get it for you.

Problem solved. for someone else who has the problem, as soon as you install the MS UAA, it allows to detect certain hardware. Instead of having it go online to find the drivers, tell it to search in a specific directory on your computer. Even if you have the window "select a directory" open, run the sp45044 driver. The installation program will fail, but it puts the driver on your computer. return to the window "select a directory" and have it searching for C:\SWSetup\SP45044\WDM\WinXP. It now allows to install your drivers and audio will start to work immediately!

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6135dx: windows 7 resettled after upgrading Windows 10

    Hello

I bought my computer in 2011 at Bestbuy. In this computer factory settings had various applications, HP, HP Recovery manager, etc.

Recently, last week my computer was attacked by malware and therefore, I had to restore my computer by using the recovery HP (Rebecca.exe) Manager. Meanwhile, windows offered to updgrade to 10 Windows. My computer is compatible, and that's why I decided to upgrade. Unfortunately, Windows 10 did not work too well with my computer, and so I contacted Windows Support team. They have reinstalled Windows 10 in my machine and remove the function back to Windows 7.

Support of Windows 10 team could not solve the problems in my computer. I then asked to downgrade to windows 7. With their downgrading to Windows 7, I had to get all the drivers to make my computer function again. However, I do not have original HP and Applications settings my computer had when I first bought the computer.

Is it possible to install all the parameters of HP and Apps? I tried to install HP Recovery Manager, however, when I do, it says "Softpaq does not apply to the system, no installed HP Manager."

Help, please! My computer is running slowly. What should I do?

    ramirez_adolfo

The best way to make your PC work again in Win7 is to do a factory restore using the HP recovery media.

It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

It's the HP for your PC product page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv7-6100-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5082216/model/5118973

Down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entry and click on order to press for more details.

Don't forget to read through the material in the linked thread before attempting the recovery: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00707939

    Good luck

  • Impossible to add an external monitor or adjust the brightness of the screen: Pavilion dv7-4031TX (Windows 7)

    Hello

I recently replaced both hard drives of HDD2K12, which meant I had to re-enstall Windows 7. Since that time, I have no options more in using an external monitor or even the brightness of the screen. The computer does not recognize the monitor when I Plug and all my drivers are up to date.

Can you make suggestions that could help to solve these two problems?

    Kind regards

    Peter

Thanks to find the links but I could not find the drivers I need for a Pavilion dv7-4031TX.

However I finally managed to fix the problem. Let me summarize what has been my problem.

    (1) I could not adjust the brightness of the screen by using the function keys f2 and f3.

    (2) I couldn't find the brightness slider if it was generally... i.e. (control Panel\Hardware and Options of Sound\Power)

    (3) my laptop would not recognize an external monitor.

    How I solved the problem:

    1 > pass.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-95107-1 & CC = in the & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 4063 & Product = 4253423 & sw_lang =

and go to the graphics driver and download the graphics driver and follow the directions. At the end of the installation you will be asked to restart the computer.

0nce you have restarted your computer, you should be able to adjust the brightness of the screen using the fn keys or the brightness slider in the window 'power Option '.

    2 > Activting 2nd monitor

Click on Device Manager... At start-> right click on 'Computer' and click 'properties '. Click on "Device Manager". Now click on "monitors".

Now connect the exernal monitor to your laptop while watching where the monitor icon appears under "monitors". It should appear as 'Generic PNP monitor'.

Now, right-click on it and select "update driver software... "then search automatically for updated drivers. Install the new drivers. You should see the generic 'PNP monitor' name change to another name.

3 > restart your computer. You should find that after doing all this, you should be back to normal.

  • Pavilion p6-2133w: upgrade Windows 10 Pro activation after replacing the processor and motherboard

I upgraded a Pavilion P6 W10 Pro in September. Everything was going well until the motherboard and processor failed. When I replaced the hardware I am prompted to activate Windows - I have the product key for Windows 7 Home Prem OA office machine that does not work for W10 Pro. I don't know how W10 Pro ran six months and support MS insists I do decline to W10. Two questions.

1 how W10 differ from the W10 Pro?
    2. How is this W10 Pro could have been improved in Windows 7 Home Prem OA? Looks like a decoy on the BONE.

    Greetings,

The replacement of the mother/CPU card can be extra monkey wrench in this situation.

You cannot use a key of Win 7 Home on Win 10 Pro.

You will need to install Win 10 and then move on to Win 10 Pro. Win 10 going to Win 10 percent if you had an activated copy of win 10 Pro.

    1. other features such as BitLocker and domain join.

    2. I have no idea how you've gone from Win 7 Home win 10 Pro. Were you a BETA-Tester (Windows Insider program)? I upgraded from Win 7 to win 10 Pro, because I was a BETA-Tester,

I just did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro but ignored the input of the product key. Windows activated, but not right away.
