  • How can I put names of files with my screen saver pictures?

I would like to show the names of files with screen saver slide show

I would like to show the names of files with screen saver slide show

    Hello

This feature was available in the My Pictures Slideshow Screensaver in Windows XP, but this screen saver is not included in Windows 7.

If you have access to a system with XP installed, you can copy the

C:\Windows\System32\ssmypics.scr file and place it in the same folder on the Windows 7 system and it will work similarly as in XP.

If you do not have access to a Windows XP system, you can download the file ssmypics.scr on the following link.

    http://www.dsi123.com/download/screensavers/ssmypics.SCR

If you have the 32-bit version of Windows 7, copy the file to the folder c: Windows\System32.

If you have the 64 bit version of Windows 7, copy the file to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.

Do a right click the desktop and select Personalize / Screen Saver icon.

In the screen saver options, it will be displayed as my slide show of photos. Click the settings for the options button.

  • Unable to read the .avi files with Windows Media Player 11 on XP

Original title: Media player upgrade was worse than basic
I recently updated my Player multimedia media Player 11 and now it won't play movies from AVI file that I used to be able to play easily on the outdated version. Why is this?

    Hello

Do you have an error message when you try to play with Media Player AVI files?

When you try to play a file that uses a codec that is not installed on your computer, Windows Media Player attempts to download the codec from a Microsoft server. If the
Codec is available, the Windows Media Player installed on your computer, and then bed file. However, if the codec is not available on the server (for example, because)
the codec not created by Microsoft), Windows Media Player displays a message that your computer is missing a codec.

In some cases, the file you want to play uses a codec that is not available or compatible with Windows Media Player. When this happens, you may be unable to use Windows Media Player to play this particular .avi file.

You can consult this article for a solution:

All my music is stored on a drive separate expansion and Windows Media Center has this drive configured as the search for the music folder but it is not picking up all the tracks in folders.  EG - on a single CD folder it shows only 3 of 14 titles available.  I tried to re - select the folder of extensible file again, but it still captures all the tracks?

  • How to avoid accepting of names of files with windows 7! ?

older programs have problems with file names that have certain characters in them, in order to avoid compatibility problems are causing the more recent additions to windows 7 in the office how to change the setting to prevent users from file naming using these characters?

    Hello

Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent Windows 7 to accept the valid special character. Until you use / possible valid characters he will have no problems with Windows.

Here is the list of characters allowed and NOT allowed characters in Windows.

The following special characters are allowed in the names of files and folders:

    ! # $ % & ' ( ) + , - .

    ; = @ [ ] ^ _ ` { } ~

These special characters are NOT allowed in the names of files and folders:

    " * / : <> ? \ |

Probably problems will arise if the file names or folder containing any of the following characters.

If you attempt to download a file that contains one of these characters, you will receive an appropriate message. You will then need to rename the file before you can download successfully.

    Note:

You cannot start a file name or a folder with a space (empty). White left will be deleted from the file name or folder

  • Can I automate PDF file merger based on the correspondence of the names of files with Acrobat Pro?

I want to automate the task of merging PDF files from a directory on a local computer with PDF files that have the same name on a network directory.  Essentially, the process would be to read the name of the local pdf file then procedure step by step the structure of network directories to find a corresponding file name.  If a match is found then merge the local (including bookmarks) file in the network file (insert before page 1).  If the merger success, delete the local file.  If an error occurs, announce the error and move the local file to a local folder that is named MergeErrors.  If no match is found move the local file to a local folder named NoMatches. This process should be repeated until all files were them merged or moved.  Can I do this with Actions in Acrobat Pro?

Not directly - Actions have no logic so can not react to mistakes or perform some filtering.

You can use a JavaScript script to the folder level and the command doc.insertPages () to combine a file into another, but you'd have to hardcode the paths. There is no directory, listing or search feature in Acrobat JavaScript.

  • How to name multiple files with the same name?

HI, I'm supposed to write the names of files for an agency and I noticed that all the photographers name the files of the same Gallery of the same name, I guess it's renaming the bridge batch? TXS

Yes, use the bridge to rename lots. I would recommend using the text that you want (add a _ at the end) and then add a number to four digits of the sequence.

Here is a little video I did for someone else last night. You can find it useful, too:
