Windows 8 user gets now signed with a TEMP profile

Came back from holiday and has been updated several programs when my computer crashed.

Now when I turn on my computer I put my password and get "Preparing windows" which takes several minutes. Finally the start screen appears but only 7 Apps/programs.

I also have the message "you have been connected with a temporary profile. You can't access your files. "Try to connect and record in.

Tried this with no success that I get the same message every time.

By right-clicking on the open WIN 8 screen, I can see all the programs that I have already installed. I can pin what I want from the taskbar and run them from there yet, but everything I save is saved office temp files that disappear of course, as soon as I disconnect.

I get around this by recording everything manually on a disc external but which is obviously not the ideal solution.

As I said, I use WIN 8 and see that other users have my particular problem in 2013... and I can't find anywhere that someone had managed to solve it.

Surely now someone has figured this out. Any help would be much appreciated that I have about enough of Windows and I am ready to give up. After years of using WIN XP, WIN 7 and now WIN 8 and be quite happy, I am considering even switching to Apple.

See if this helps you:

You could do a Safe Mode system restore to before the problem:

Yesterday, I used my laptop and it worked fine I close it correctly went to the store, when I returned an hour later and turned on my computer Windows Vista home 64 bit would not at all be responsible.  I used my cell phone to get online and tried a few things and now 24 hours later became Windows to load, however he began with a temporary profile and all my photos, documents and programs are gone except via the box has changed mrecently, they are there.  I tried to restore a system but all my restore points have been deleted even the ones I did today.  I tried using recovery discs and it won't work.  I would like to pick up my items, I contacted Microsoft support and they will help me unless I pay $99. I don't have a lot of money for advice on everything I can do to help.  I can't get connected to my regular profile that tells Windows to check the event log, which I did and of course, do not understand what he says.  Please help to solve this problem, I'm afraid to shut down my computer as it is not sure that I will be able to return.

  • I am connected with a temp profile - how to fix this?

I have a HP Touchsmart 520 with windows 7. I just connected and the following message appears:

You have logged on with a temporary profile.  You can't access your files and files created in this profile will be deleted when you close the session.  To resolve this issue, log off, then try to connect later.  Check the log of the events for more information or contact your system administrator.

I'm the only person who uses the PC and I'm at a loss of what to do, such as logging and the new makes no difference.  Could someone help a beginner full who doesn't have a clue what to do next!

    Hello

    You can try the following.

Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.

Another option if the above does not help is as follows.

Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.

  • Windows DVD Maker Gets the error with a .avi file - the file C:\\...avi is not valid or is corrupted.

I try to use Windows DVD Maker and copy/convert a file .avi on a DVD and get the following error message when I try to add a .avi file to the queue.  I tried this on multiple .avi files:

    ****************************************************

    0 items added successfully

1 file could not be added

The C:\\...avi file is not valid or is corrupted.

    ****************************************************

Also, I must stress that I have no problem looking at one/play the file on my computer, so I don't think that the file itself is really corrupted.

I have not downloaded another software to help 'fix' this problem.

This is my first time you try to use this software to create a DVD...

Please advise on what I can to help resolve this problem!

    Hello

I saw the 0x0000007B BSOD caused by trying to install XP on a disk hard while the BIOS is designating the reader as AHCI instead of IDE. XP has no native AHCI drivers, resulting in a stop 7B. Unless the PC had originally Vista or Win 7, but it might be useful to check that it is not likely.

If the BIOS is set to AHCI, you could do one of three things (depending on whether your PC has a floppy drive)...

1 find the Setup F6 disk on AHCI support at installation time (start with the manufacturer's website if you do not already have such a thing). Watch the very hit F6 prompt early in the installation process.

    2. change the setting in BIOS on IDE / ATA

    3. create a new "slipstreaming" installation disc drivers AHCI in the existing installation disc, see http://www.nliteos.com/index.html

After the back if your BIOS is IDE / ATA

  • Signing of documents with certified identification some users get valid message and other problems? Any idea?

    Hello

Will sign us documents with a certified identification and some users get a valid status then that of other issues. Same type of certifcate KPN Corporate market CSP assuré CA

    any idea?  Thank you

    Natasja

It seems that some users have the certificate root in their 'approved identities' and others not. You have not specified which version of Acrobat you use but in Acrobat XI right - click signature, select "Show Signature Properties" and click on "Of the see the signatory certificate" button (in versions prior to Acrobat, it's the same thing, just the button is called a bit different, but with the same meaning). Next to view dialog box of the certificate on the left pane which shows the certification path. Select the top certificate of the page, then click on 'Confidence' tab on the right side. That do both in the facilities where you get the status valid and not. I bet where you get valid status the advanced certificate in the chain is approved and where he is unknown, it is not approved. You can directly add the confidence of this dialog box by clicking on the button "Add to approved identities".
