Windows 8 Windows does not

First off, I was using my computer when all of a sudden, the screen of the computer froze. Nothing replied when I click on each icon and Ctrl + alt + del didn't work at all. So I force my computer to stop. Now, every time I start my computer and connect to my user, it would just freeze and take 10 minutes to load the splash screen, if I had the chance. Generally, it would be just stuck frozen until what I force shut down the computer. If it worked, desktop screen would take even more time to load. So what I'd even do it wouldn't work, even if I click on the icons. Then, he would have become frozen. If I force shut down the computer, it would soon restart on its own and start the frozen whole cycle again. (1) do you get an error when your computer crashes?
(2) are you having the same problem with other user accounts (if you have more than one)?

I suggest you to check the Event Viewer logs.

To access the event viewer in Windows 8:

(a) go to the Start screen . Type in event Viewer .
(b) this will bring up the box of event viewer. Click to open Event Viewer.
(c) in the left pane, expand Windows Logs.
(d) click the applications log. Select the first event in the log, and then use the arrow keys to scroll down. Most of your event will be information. You can see yellow warnings or Red errors. If you see a red error, you can double-click on it to bring it and copy the contents into a document.

    If you are unable to enter the BIOS (F2) at startup settings there must be some serious hardware problem.
    I recommend to contact your local dealer where you bought this laptop and ask for help, or you can contact Toshiba service provider directly.

    What you have tried to do is good but if laptop doesn t allow you to enter parameters of the BIOS something wrong here, and you need professional help.

    Have you disabled the Windows Firewall before you start with the installation of Comodo Firewall? As far as I know, Portege R830 is delivered with preinstalled McAfee security software and you must remove this program before you install other security tools.

    Generally this has nothing to do with Toshiba and it s advisable to contact Comodo directly. They may know about this so they can give you a proper answer.

    But I put t understand why this program is so important to you. Windows already has an internal firewall so that these programs are not necessary in my opinion. Just install a good antivirus like AntiVir and enable the automatic updates of Windows. All that s!
