Windows Asus rt without recovery partition

I have an asus rt tf600t without recovery partition, so when I press f8 at startup do not show recovery options and either do not start the os that can I please?

Hello

I guess when things don't work the way they are supposed to work. Please write us with the following details.

Windows is already installed on your computer when you bought it?

If your computer was pre-installed with Windows then I suggest you to communicate with them once more, like Asus is supposed to provide you with an installation disc in Windows and then using that you can perform other recovery options. You can contact them on the link below.

Unfortunately, there is no other non-destructive method I know except go to programs and features and the removal of the Windows updates at the start date of the activation problem. Maybe it's worth a try. It takes a lot of time, but can solve the problem.

If the data on the disk is important to you, then you will need to copy it to an external storage medium before doing anything else.

  • Windows 7 creates a RECOVERY PARTITION? __Si Yes, what size?

Windows 7 creates a RECOVERY PARTITION?
    If so, what size?

Yes, it creates a 200 MB recovery partition:
This is for the Windows recovery environment (WinRE), also supplied with Windows Vista, only it has been available from the Windows Vista installation disc only, although some manufacturers make available on a partition separated on their factory facilities. In Windows 7, this feature is installed on all computers and is stored in the 200 MB partition if you are installing using a single partition scheme. However, if you are installing to a drive that has more than one partition, the recovery environment is stored in a folder at the root of your installation disc, so if you install to a partition with a label of C:\ she will be C:\Recovery.

To access the system recovery environment in Windows 7, simply start your PC, just before the system loads the Windows operating system. Press the [F8] key function 8 on your keyboard which will launch the menu Advanced Boot Options. You will see a new option "Repair your computer", select this option and press 'Enter' on your keyboard.

    Hello

I don't have the recovery partition on my system, but I would like to reset my Ideapad Yoga 13 to the status of the plant. Is it possible somehow? All of the guides I've seen guess my recovery partition was still intact. Thank you for your time.

    Concerning

    To reset your PC

Drag from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you use a mouse, point on the corner at the top right of the screen, move the pointer of the mouse down, click settings, and then click Change PC settings.)

Press or click Update and recovery, and then tap or click on recovery.

Under all delete and reinstall Windows, press or click Start.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

    Note

You will be asked if you want to remove data quickly and carefully. If you choose to quickly erase the data, some data may be recoverable using special software. If you choose to completely erase the data, it will take more time but makes it less likely data recovery.

  • Reinstall Win7 without recovery partition

    Hello

I have an Inspiron 15R N5110 needs is Windows 7 OS reinstalled.  I think he might have gotten bitten by a virus, but I'm not positive about that.  The key is that there is a lot of BSODS, and sometimes when it starts up, it says that some important services running, as the event handler.

When I try to use the recovery partition after hitting F8 on startup, it cannot simply to do anything, return to the menu to start again and again.  I guess it's possible that the virus destroyed the both recovery partition.

And I have no OS CD to restore from.  I am simply out of luck?

I wouldn't, but I can * buy * a series of CD of Dell OS install?

    Sigh.

    Thank you
    Randy Stegbauer

You can request records of installation here (US only):

    support.Dell.com/.../backupcd_form

You can also download and use a 'retail' version to install and activate using your product key by phone from Microsoft (not Dell).

HOWEVER, I would test your system carefully, especially from your hard drive... what you describe could very well be a hard drive problem.  Do this before you install Windows - there is no need to install Windows on a bad drive.

  • Edge 525 & Rescue & Recovery without recovery Partition but discs

I went to restore my laptop to factory setting, but to the rescue and recovery application, I don't have any possibility to recover on the laptop as it came out of the factory.

When I got the laptop, I created rescue media and have a set of 4 discs, all (2 are 8.5 GB) DVD. The R & R boots and asks the Final C drive. None of the disks appear in the backup list box.

Before I left for a new installation by using a Windows 7 disc, I got R & R OFF load media to a portable player. This will start to a different version of R & R similar to the walkthrough of 2008 post. But the screen I get is not the radio button for the restoration of the factory, just backup and when I put my DVD in, no backup copy is in the media, I have...

I deleted the partition from the factory after that I created the media as I presume I could go back to the factory to use.

My new installation of windows 7, it works but the download driver Lenovo Wireless does not activate...

wish I never started to mess with it now...

    Any suggestions?

Update: all restored and running again...

Must label better records in the future... I have had 4 drives in a bundle, the first being the emergency repair disk, which starts with a similar screen.

As 1 of my records did nothing in the rescue and recovery various application, I used previous thinkpads. Turns out it was bootable and the good relief and recovery for my game disks... cdrivebackup.swm took forever to load, and then asked for the second disc. Transformed and now 1 system that works again...

now to move all the data back...

  • Need to re - install Windows, but I have no recovery partition or the Windows DVD

    Dear reader,

Recently, Windows got broken on my Toshiba Satellite L650-170.
I tried to use my backup, but backup refused my backups.

After some research, the disc seems to be in good health, but all the partitions on the drive seem to be damaged in some way.

So, I'm without a Windows disk or the recovery Partition.

How can I get Windows on my laptop using the windows key attached to it?
(A friend told me that the use of another work of won´t of windows disk 7)

    Kind regards

    Peter

    Hi Peter

If you don t have access to the original recovery partition, the question is: what do you have installed on your laptop?

If you want to have the factory settings once again, you must install OS using the original Toshiba recovery disc. You can order it on http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

If you want to have clean OS install, you can use the original disc of Microsoft with the valid license code. Product key at the bottom of your laptop cannot be used for activation.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • HP recovery discs will allow me to install Windows 7 on a different partition?

    Hello world

I intend on creating a system in multiboot on my HP laptop.  If all goes well, it will run Windows 7, Ubuntu 11.04 and the beta version of Windows 8 when it comes out.  Given that I do a partitioning to make it work, I'll have to reinstall Windows 7.  I wonder if the HP recovery discs will allow me to install Windows on a specific partition or is it just change to factory settings, install Windows 7 and destroy my partitioning work?

Here are my relevant features (although I doubt it's important):

    HP Pavilion dv6-3210us Entertainment PC

    Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1, 64-bit

    Hello

The recovery disks, everything will just return to go back to the factory setting, clear all custom partitions that you may have created.  A round way, that it would be to reinstall Windows 7, remove the recovery partition which will be re-created (and possibly the HP_TOOLS if this applies in your case) and to use the own windows utility to create an Image disk and that record to an external drive.  This can at least give you the option to restore the Image of a selected partition, if you need to.

    Kind regards

    DP - K
