N ° if you got such a call, it's a scam and one that is more
and more frequent lately. In addition to their money get from you will make
nothing of any value, if you let them into your computer, who knows
What are the damage they did here or what confidential information that they
stole.

So if you have done so, I highly recommend that you do both of the following
immediately:

1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.
2. change all of your passwords, especially banks or other
financial sites.

  • Windows contacts does not work correctly.

I have synced my HTC Evo to Windows Contacts.  I wanted to add contacts through my computer and then transfer to my phone I thought it would be easier (keyboard real vs knocking on the phone with fingers).  The problem is that my Windows Contacts opens and it doesn't have the complete list of options (add contacts, etc.). -It shows it as being a photo program (wants to burn or slide show).  How can I fix it?  I opened the program of the said Web page how to (Start menu > all programs > windows contacts).  On the screen shot here, I noticed that there is another icon in the menu bar indicating the location on the computer that the icon that I have in my menu bar.

If the toolbar in Contacts doesn't have its normal icons, then the type of folder for Contacts is incorrect. To fix:
Open windows contacts. Right-click somewhere in this empty white space to the right. Select Customize this folder,
Click on the small triangle in the drop-down list, select Contacts, and then click OK.

  • How to separate contacts in folders in Windows Contacts?

I have 2 iPhones I want to synchronize with the same Windows user and iTunes. I managed to sync all music, videos and whatnots already because I wanted to do the same. However, the contacts in both phones are different. Is it possible to separate contacts in 2 folders in Windows Contacts so that I can choose contacts to sync with iTunes folders?

    Thank you!

It cannot be done directly with Windows Contacts (Finally, perhaps depending on how work iPhones).  You can create folders separated for each of you to keep separate contacts (and move them to the appropriate folder whenever a new contact is added), but they will all sync if you use the normal method (unless the normal method allows you to enter a specific case - then you're all set).  I don't know if this will help as I know vaguely how to sync contacts, but if it is possible that the contacts are stored in different folders if created in different folders in the Windows Contacts (Vista iPhones both), then it may be possible to simply check synchronize these files instead of Windows Contacts in general and therefore separate them.  I don't know if this is possible in iPhones but in Vista, contact information is stored in C:\Users\\Contacts and Contacts, it can be separated by folders (organize / new folder) which will bring the folder main Contacts in separate folders within him - in the iPhone, it can simply go in the a contacts database and thus be inseparable with no record separate information but if you contact they know.

But if we can not do normally as described above it is still possible.  I think that the product is to SyncToy:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=C26EFA36-98E0-4EE9-A7C5-98D0592D8C52&displaylang=en.  I'm not 100% sure SyncToy will work with iPhones (actually, I'm sure that it will not so it is probably not an option) but you can try with the main folder and see if it works (the trick and the key will be if it installs on the iPhone).  If so, you can then go ahead and separate contacts in both files you create and then configure synchronization to use these subfolders instead of the main folder.

I hope this helps.  If none of these options work, then I'm afraid that I don't know other options to try except to communicate with iPhones and see if they have any suggestions.

    Good luck!

  • Windows Contacts folder format

How do you attribute the views of records to a specific group of files? I need to be able to ensure that the Contacts Windows folders display correctly, without changing the format of one of my other records.

How can I format files of Windows Contacts regardless of other folders in Windows Explorer (File Manager)?  Is this a major bug in Vista or what?  Contacts folders need a format such as: Contact name, phone number, email.  Most other folders of files need a format such as: name of the file, Type, size, Date of revision.  I like to be able to organize my contacts in a hierarchical structure - no other programs contacts in that I looked at seem to be able to do it, so it seems that I am stuck with Windows, if I can make it work.

I'm sorry, but the other answers you have been assigned are not correct. Follow these steps:

Open Contacts from his file Explorer or within Windows Mail. Right-click anywhere in the blank white space to the right. Select "Customize this folder", then click on the small triangle in the drop-down list, select Contacts, and then click OK.

This will change the type of Contacts folder only.

  • Lack of Windows Contacts

Despite the support Microsoft find file/folder of Windows Contacts it does NOT exist on my computer (start programs/Windows Contacts).

    Where is this elusive file/folder?

I'm running Windows 7 x 64 SP1 with Office 2010 Professional Plus (Version 14.0.7015.1000) including Business Contact Manager (Version 4.0.11308.0).

Any ideas where it is that I need to remove content that is before my mobile device synchronization (the computer would have had more than 400 contacts and most of them are very obsolete and I don't want their synchronized in the mobile phone, I just spend over 3 weeks, clean the contacts on the phone) (, so I'm not all contacts of garbage of the return it).

I'd appreciate some quick tips and solutions to this issue.

    Thank you

  • Can I export the contacts from the phone or MotoBLUR?

And before you answer - 'of course, copy them to the SIM card"- I want to EXPORT the contacts from the phone.

I think that there is a demand of "exportcontacts" in the app store - there can be several - which allows you to export the Android contacts to a CSV file on your SD card.

  • Software "Windows Contacts" does not exist in my Vista

I finally decided to try Windows Contacts (formerly address book) in Vista. But the software does not exist among my many Windows program files. It is possible that I deleted the software somehow. I tried to find a way to download just this Microsoft software, but don't find any option to do. Any ideas? Thank you 1 million.

    Hi debussymuir,

Windows contact is not software, so there is no option to download. Windows contact is a contact manager that is implemented in a special folder in Windows Vista. It's in the Start Menu of Windows Vista.

Windows in Windows XP address book has been replaced by the Windows touch in Windows Vista. Windows contacts has all the features of the old Windows address book, as well as some new features, such as the ability to add pictures to your contacts.

    To access the Windows Contacts:

Open Windows Contacts by clicking Start , allprograms, and then clicking Windows Contacts.

  • Cannot organize Windows Contacts by last name

When I open Windows Contacts, the contacts are all sorted by first name (the full name, in fact).  Is it possible to sort/organize the list of contacts by last name?  This is how most people organize their address books.

Not with Windows Contacts, the feature set is not very good.  Best thing to do is to Download Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail replacement, allowing you to sort by last name, in addition it is secured for contacts, in general, is much more functional.
