The system starts well and runs - BUT I cannot now be updated because when I access "Windows Update" it always returns this error message.

Important info if you received a STOP Code
If you received a blue error screen, or a stop code, the computer stopped abruptly to protect against data loss. A hardware device, its driver or software might have caused this error. If your copy of Windows is shipped with your computer, contact your computer manufacturer. If you purchased Windows separately from your computer, Microsoft provides support. To find contact information for Microsoft or the manufacturer of your computer, Contact Support.
If you have experience with computers and try to recover from this error, follow the steps in the Microsoft article solution STOP (blue screen) errors in Windows.
These actions could prevent a mistake like this does not happen:
- Download and install updates for your computer from Windows Update device drivers.
- Scan your computer for computer viruses.
- Check your hard drive for errors.
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL parameters
The following settings are displayed on the blue screen.
Parameter Description 1

Cause
This bug check is issued if the memory paged (or invalid) is accessible when the IRQL is too high.
The error that usually generates this bug check occurs after the installation of the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS.
If you encounter a bug 0xA control during the upgrade to a later version of Windows, this error can be caused by a device driver, system service, an anti-virus or a backup tool that is not compatible with the new version.
Resolution
If a kernel debugger is available, get a stack trace.
To resolve an error caused by the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS
Restart your computer.
Press F8 to character-based menu that displays the choice of operating system.
In the Windows Advanced Options menu, select last known good Configuration . This option is most effective when a pilot or a service is added at a time.
To resolve an error caused by an incompatible device driver, system service, virus scanner, or backup tool
Check the system log in Event Viewer for error messages that may identify the device or driver that caused the error.
Try disabling the cache in memory of the BIOS.
Run the diagnostics of equipment provided by the manufacturer of the system, in particular the scanner memory. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.
Make sure that the latest Service Pack is installed.
If your system has cards (SCSI) small computer system interface, contact the card manufacturer for updated Windows drivers. Try to disable sync negotiation in the SCSI BIOS, check the wiring and the SCSI ID of each device and confirming the proper termination.
For devices (IDE) peripheral electronic integrated, set the built-in as only primary IDE port. Also, check each IDE device to the right setting master/slave/stand alone. Try to remove all IDE devices except for the hard drives.
If the message appears during installation of Windows, make sure that the computer and installed devices are compatible with the version of Windows being installed. For example, you can get information about compatibility with Windows 7 in the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.

Windows Update fails with error 0 x 80244004. Do NOT use Eset.
When I try to update Windows I get the error that could not display the page with error code 0 x 80244004.
I am running XP SP3.
New facility for many years.
ESET doesn't work DO NOT and never have.
Run Avast. As an experiment I uninstalled Avast and tried to update without any AV, but still had a problem.
Virus scan with Avast, Malwarebytes and TDSSKiller that all come clean.
System may have a rootkit a while back that has been cleaned.
Proxy has been verified using the proxycfg, no proxy and IE options.
I don't know exactly when the problem started since I use this computer mainly for file strage and backup and I don't check it that often.
Installed Java version is version 7 update 21. All previous versions have been removed.
What else did I miss?
Thank you!
I have solved this problem. I downgraded from Microsoft Update, Windows Update. I'm able to install updates with Windows Update. Once made this series of updates, I'll try the upgrade to Microsoft Update and see what happens.

Probably either a (most likely) driver error or faulty memory. First run the internal memory diagnosis (just "type diagnosis memory" in the start/search to start line). If it passes, then we will have to analyze the dump file is created.
If the error messages are compatible - even verbiage and error code, it is more likely to be a driver problem. If they are constantly changing, so the problem is more likely to be a faulty hardware. Start by memory, then maybe a hard drive diagnostic. If they pass, then the next step is exchanging materials well known from the power supply. Windows 8 Windows Update fails with error 80244FFF
I have just upgraded to windows 8 and windows update now refuses to check updates, declaring that he "could not search for new updates" with an error code of 80244FFF.
I tried:(a) perform the upgrade by following the steps in the wizard upgrade - no change of place.(b) to perform a clean installation from a USB - no change (this should work because this is a new installation on a clean drive with nothing else to interfere).(c) runs the troubleshooting tool (which simply stops / starts two services and pretended to have something fixed).(d) reatarting (Finally, that you never know)I'm a developer who has installed all the preview releases and can say that so far, the final version was the most unstable and frustrating - a new operating system should work out of the box, with the exception of some esoteric drivers. All information online simply States that you must run the Troubleshooter or performing a clean restart - which does not solve anything. I can update Windows defender through its own GUI so it may not be a connection to the update servers.Any help greatly received.Oddly enough, my problem has proved to be a bad hard drive. I ran Diagnostics on my entire system, nothing has been noted as a problem. I read a lot of posts on the web who spoke about problems of disk write, or the Windows Update database may be damaged.
I decided to take a chance and replace my system disk and VOILA. Problem disappeared. I have to say that I lived also crashes and slowdowns with my system that also disappeared with the replacement of the drive.
So even if the drive past all controls itself, something has definitely wrong with it. I was able to prove that by inserting it into a drive bay eSATA external and I immediately had problems doing anything with the drive. Disk Manager in particular. It would hang just reading. It was a 'Twilight Zone' problem I had not experienced before.
I'm not saying that's the cue for everyone, but it was the solution for me.
Kind regards

Windows update fails with error 8007273D
I installed Windows 7 on XP on a partition of my iMac 24 "Intel on July 11. It worked fine, whereas it is a pre-release system, except an error that arose today, July 13. When I try to do a Windows Update, it now gives me error code 8007273D this has worked fine until today's update and now says there are no updates to previous day! I 'could' said MS to install an update from the update of Windows 7, which could have replaced the correct version with another incompatible (perhaps for Vista or XP). How to know if this is the case and replace the updater (if this is the case)?
**************
Problem is solved. Reformatted the drive and reinstalled Windows 7. Everything works fine now. Don't know what was the original problem with the original installation, but all now works perfectly. Could not use "Restore Point", because the original problem either. Have backup and restore if necessary.

Hi Jack,
· Did you do changes on the computer before the show?
· You install updates?
· Have what troubleshooting measures you tried?
· What do you mean by "I try original window vista install disc, but the update is disabled '?
· The upgrade option is disabled?
· What Service pack is installed on the computer?
· Is the service pack included with the DVD?
Cases of incompatibility, upgrading will be disabled, check if you are using the good DVD to upgrade that is 32-bit to 32-bit or 64-bit to 64-bit.
Also check if you choose the same version of Windows that is installed on the computer. Check the space on the hard disk.
Note: Backup the data before a repair installation of Windows.
Follow these methods.
Method 1: Follow the steps in the article.
You receive an error code "0 x 80070490" when you use Microsoft Update or Windows Update Web sites to install updates

Hello Pao - Jos,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.
I understand that you have found the 0xc1900101 - 0 x 40019 error when you try to install the Windows 8.1 update. I suggest that you enter your BIOS and enable Secure Boot. You can do this by following the HP support document: Secure Boot (Windows 8). Once you have enabled Secure Boot you can then try to install the update. If this does not work, you can also uninstall your graphics card, and then run the update. You can reinstall the graphics card when you are finished.
Please re-post if you need extra support. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great weekend!

Windows Update fails with error 0x800f0830
I have two laptops that were formerly running Windows 7 Professional Edition x 64 on a Server 2008 domain. Due to network problems are intractable, both have been restored at the factory using the Toshiba Recovery Wizard settings. The chosen option was to retrieve the default values only keeping DO NOT user data. Everything seems to work, but two laptops boots into Windows 7 Home Premium x 64. It's OK, as we have for them use outside the field. Now, my problem is that I can't run Windows Update on each machine.
Before you run the update of Windows, the following files are in the folder of the download of the Software Distribution folder:
KB958559 (Windows Virtual PC) and KB958488 (Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1).
Launch Windows Update and the updates, I get a message that I need to download an update from Windows Update. I click on update, he begins to search for the update and - error 800F0830. An extensive search on Google has barely turned anything on this error. It does not even appear in the list of troubleshooting of errors. The log of the Software Distribution folder shows "Download failed" and error code 800f0830 for KB958559 and KB958488.
I tried the following steps to solve the problems:
Run this utility to update Windows, set except x 0 80070003 errors. Update Services arrested Windows, renamed the Software Distribution folder. Tried new same outage updates.
Windows Update service stopped, deleted the Software Distribution data files and download folders
Run system, no found error update readiness tool
Downloaded KB958559 manually and tried to install it manually. Installation failed with the same error 0x800f0830 code.
Install the latest Windows Update Agent.
I'm running out of ideas, but need to be addressed if we're going to use these computers on our network of comments. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Was not asking for window pop up with error message
As for the other Unasked for Popup window question, my error message is a little different. (I tried, also, to solve the problem using the suggestions appear on the Web site.) I also get the rectangular black box with the title of "tasking.exe", with the following message:
The message is this: "Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\my name\AppData\Local\browser extensions\client.exe'.
I would appreciate any help with this!
I also tried the AutoRun and did remove all the items highlighted yellow - but I still get this message.
Thank you!
Run the tool Process Explorer (Procexp) from Sysinternals, it's a bit like the Task Manager.
When the screen unwanted opens again, open Procexp, click target and select window/box you concern. Procexp will then highlight the line which is the process the institution has this pop-up - this should give a better idea of what is causing this problem.
