  • Microsoft Home and Student TRIAL Power Point 2010?

In September 2011, I bought Microsoft Office home and student 2010. This week, I tried to make a presentation in power point for a workshop I give in Ethiopia. I was unable to use the program. He said that the trial period was over. I was not aware that the PP was a trial version. When I bought the package of 2010, I thought I was getting all the programs. Why was it a trial version and did not elaborate on the information? What can I do? The workshop is Friday, and Microsoft does not list Ethiopia as a country from which I can ask questions.

    ================================
I think the best would be to extract the
images drawn from the Power Point document and import
in Movie Maker / DVD Maker as you
    d all other photos.

Just open the Power Point document and go to...
File / save as /. HTML

PowerPoint - extracted quickly image slideshows
    http://Lifehacker.com/300282/quickly-extract-images-from-slideshows

    Also...

Save my photos or images embedded in PowerPoint 2010 shows
    http://presentationsoft.about.com/od/PowerPoint-2010-tips/Qt/101204-extract-pictures-from-PowerPoint-2010.htm Also...

No guarantee... but the freeware depending on power
Point Image Extractor works for me...

FWIW... (there is also a download for)
PowerPoint Image Copier... it did not work for me)

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Power Point Image Extractor
    http://alainlecomte.free.fr/download.htm#PPImageExtractor
to download... left click on the green text:
    > Download PowerpointImageExtractor V1.2 (960 KB)

Save the file to your desktop. Open the .zip file and
Drag the file .exe Setup file and drop it on
your office. Double left click the file to install.

Copy your .pps, .ppt file to your desktop.

Open the extractor and left click on the "Load" button

Go to the .pps, double and .ppt file left click...

The software will extract the images and place them
in a folder on your desktop with the same name that
    the file.

    Good luck...

None of them come with PowerPoint... You need to add Microsoft Office to your purchase of computer configured to order or buy a computer retail/ready-to-ship and office to buy separately.

OK, gotcha now. [From a technical point of view, Office updates are only available via automatic updates if Microsoft Update (vs Windows Update) is the source of the default update.]

I don't have any security/antivirus suite & have the firewall off the coast.

    I see.

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

HOW to do a clean install of Win7: see "using the custom installation option" and formatting the hard drive section of http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) and before using a player flash or SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formattedotherwise:

  • Power Point screensavers

Can I add a Power Point show to my screensaver files? I use Windows XP.

  • Recent items folder does not display the files saved in the Office 2010

I have a question where the record of recent items (Start/Recent Items) shows not all files that are created in Office 2010 or converted in this format. All other files (for example, .xls, .doc, .pdf) are displayed, but it's not Office 2010 files.

If I open Excel 2010 or Word 2010 and go to file/Recent then files are all listed here as recent files, but do not show up in the start/Recent Items menu.

I use Vista Home Premium with Office 2010, but also have this problem with my PC which is running Windows 7. However, it is less a question here as I have Word and Excel pinned to the taskbar and you can access these files from there.

It drives me crazy because I have to go through a number of additional steps to open files that are routinely used and wonder if it's a 'function' or a bug.

I posted this question in the forum Office 2010 too and it advises to ask here as well. My reason for posting, it is originally that I am convinced that this is a problem with Office 2010. Files created in Office 2010 and saved in the Excel/Word 2003 (.doc and .xls) format very well, appear as files created under .docxand .xlsx that have been converted to the format Office 2003. It occurs only with files with extensions Office 2010.

I tried to dlete everything in the folder and run the "shell: recent ' command, but the opinion is to do this after DELETING the folder recent elements which is something the system won't let me do - there is no option to delete the record.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the clarification, but once again, I think you're wrong understanding of the issue. The point is that it does not appear in the list of recent items... otherwise I him have not posted the question.

I appreciate that we're trying to be helpful, but it is actually more an obstacle if you have not read and understood the issue of opening. Sorry to be blunt, but the fundamental issue has not received by people either in this topic or the forum of the Office.

However, I am pleased to announce that the elements are now show - do not know what he did, but I think it's the no-check/recheck option proposed by Nithyananda J, BUT ONLY AFTER a REBOOT.

However, I also tried various other things on mine so can't be sure which of them solved the problem.

  • Resettlement and reuse of Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 licenses?

    Hello

I have a laptop with Windows 7 Pro AO LATAM installed and MS Office 2010 installed.

The OS came installed when the laptop was purchased, and the MS Office was installed later.

I don't have the installation media of the any of them.

What I want is to format my laptop and be able to reinstall the OS and MS Office.

    Questions:

    (1) how can I get/download the installation media for them?

    (2) is it possible to reuse Windows license/activation key?

    (3) is it possible to re-use the MS Office license/activation key?

I hope you guys can give me some advice!

    Thanks in advance!

    (1) how can I get/download the installation media for them?

Where did you get the Microsoft Office if it has been installed? You must have a license for Microsoft Office as well as the key of original product, installation files. If someone simply installed for you, then its not real likely.

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press F8 on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

    (2) is it possible to reuse Windows license/activation key?

You can reuse the license on the same computer, but no where else.

    (3) is it possible to re-use the MS Office license/activation key?

Only if it is licensed to retail that you have purchased.
