Windows didn't start because the following file is missing or corrupt: __\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM___YOU CAN ATTEMPT to REPAIR THIS FILE BY STARTING WINDOWS SETUP using THE ORIGINAL SETUP CD - ROM__SELECT 'r' in the first screen to start repair

This problem is on my laptop and I can not further only the screen with the above opinion.  I don't have the original disc, since I received the laptop of my mother when she could no longer remember how to use it. I need a repair of xp, or all that it can be called and information how to fix this problem is driving nuts me to have a laptop that is faulty... Please help me.

This problem happens almost daily.

You can search the forums for discussions with similar problems (or the same problem) and peruse the threads where the result is a happy ending and examine everything first using these methods.  This will reduce the time to resolution and frustration.

Something like this example:

http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/XPRepair/thread/83d5c57f-9836-4f3a-bec8-04c7d81861d3/

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (this includes pulling and buttons power)

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else.

If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

xp_rec_con. ISO

Download the ISO from here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the command prompt.

Start by checking the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.  It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

Do not guess what the problem might be - understand and resolve it. I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

  • T43 will not move past the first screen

    My mother gave me this thinkpad because he had a virus (Windows shield Center) and he locked her out of her computer. She could always use Safe Mode, however. When I initially got tried to start, but he walls me an error message "missing hal.dll" and told me to reinstall windows, which I did not.

    I thought that this could be a fluke, but now the ThinkPad won't even go past the first screen that says "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue Access IBM button" without worrying if I press that key, or, the function keys.

    This is as far as I came. What are my next steps?

    This looks like a start of a failure of SouthBridge chips which is very common on these machines.

    Remove the keyboard (but keep that he attached), the palmrest and the wireless card.

    Turn on the machine, then * gently * press the big square under the slot wireless chip.

    If the machine starts normally whenever the square is pressed, a SouthBridge chip failure.

    Good luck.

  • Mysterious black border (only) at the bottom of the first screen iPhone

    I have an iOS application that I wrote in 2011, and I'm trying to upgrade to the latest iOS and devices.  I have a thick black border at the bottom of the first screen of my request, for most combinations Device/Simulator and iOS. This is * not * a black border at the top and at the bottom of the screen problem, who has been treated exhaustively in the forums.

    There is only a single black border at the bottom of the screen. Also, the border is only broadcast on the first screen of my request, that has buttons to go to the rest of the application. Even if I navigate to the first screen of my request, somewhere inside the application, the border becomes visible. There is no black border in the other forms in the application, apart from the first screen.

    It is * not * seems to be a launch image problem. I have a picture of launch, [email protected], and the launch image works fine. Here are the setups I get or don't get the black border:

    iPhone 4S (iOS 9.2) Simulator - without black border

    iPhone 5 (iOS 9.2) simulator - black border

    iPhone 5 (iOS 8.1.3) device - without black border

    iPhone (iOS 9.2) 5s simulator - black border

    iPhone 5 s (iOS 9.1) peripheral border - black

    iPhone 6 sec more (iOS 9.2) Simulator - black border

    iPad 2 (iOS 9.2) Simulator - without black border

    iPad (iOS 9.2) air Simulator - no black border

    iPad 2 Air (iOS 9.2) Simulator - without black border

    Pro Simulator (iOS 9.2) iPad - thick black border all around the application window

    retina Simulator (iOS 9.2) iPad - without black border (at the bottom of the screen)

    I tried everything I could think of, but nothing seems to work.

  • HP probook 4520 s held the first screen of the logo

    I was installing windows when the system which took place facing upwards. When I rebooted, it crashes on the first screen of the hp logo. where written "press ESC to display the boot options. without key works ceiling light flashes several times and turn off.
    It is repeated each time. Help, please.

    When it is connected to your desktop computer, can you feel if he goes? When you say that the Bureau does not detect the hard disk, which is in the bios, or when you open my computer?  If the drive is recognized in the bios, you can buy a software like ntfs getback who will try to rebuild the fat table so you can copy items over to the hard drive of the desktop computer.  You can download a trial version that will let you know if it will work, but you will have to buy it to actually transfer the software on disk from the desktop. You can also try to download the certification test of the drive manufacturer that will fix the bad sectors and some minor problems. SpinRite will try to retrieve data for each of the areas that may be of low bits set not completely (upwards or downwards). If the Office does not see the drive in bios, the circuit board on the hard drive is bad or the disc is not rotating. If you gently hold the disc in hand and slightly turn the disc, you should feel a gyroscopic effect of the spinning drive. If you do not feel the disc spins, the motor is probably bad or racing circuit on low hard drive circuit is bad. Sometimes (perhaps 50%), you can try to replace the circuit board with the exact same model Platinum (even if you buy the same model of car, they may have different circuit boards).  The problem is that newer readers have a flash memory chip that stores the settings for each specific access accurate and speed reader. If the exact same Platinum turns the drive, but can't read well, he have to unsolder the flash chip and move it to the new circuit board. Then, the chances improve for recovery. If the new Platinum will not turn the engine, the engine is bad. You will need to send the drive to the manufacturer or to a recovery company that can remove the platters and mount them on their equipment, calibrate and read it (probably $1000 + without warranty). There are people who post how to break on the old engine and replace it with a new one, but I think it would be a mistake to try.

    Form1.getInstance () is called from startApp() * and * whenever this happens, a new instance of Form1 is created and set as the current i.e. display.setCurrent (new Form1()). Iwould think calling incoming call pauseApp() and when call ends, startApp() is called again.

    I suggest you use System.out.println see entities (Form1@1234abcd and Thread.currentThread ()) in lanceApp and other "reminders".

  • Computer HP laptop windows didn't load because the HAL is missing or corrupt

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6605us

    Windows Vista

    Error message I get is:

    File: \Windows\System32\hal.dll

    Status: 0xc000000f

    Info: Windows could not load because the HAL is missing or corrupt

    The changes that I do is I did a clean install of Linux deleting all partitions including the HP recovery partition.

    Now that I have to go back to Windows, I used the recovery disks that I did when I bought the laptop. It took about 24 hours to completely install, then I got this error message when you restart.

    Help, please

    Best thing to do is to nuke the drive,then reinstall Vista again.

    I know it's a long process, but you should get back to run.

    Linux makes strange recovery partitions does not understand and they are deleted correctly, boot and nuke will take care of it.

    Hello

    The option explores when right click on the start menu will take you to the path that you have described. You open the location of the real record of the entries that are found in the Start Menu.

    This can not be configured to open somewhere else, because the right click tells explore from the menu start the computer you want to explore the folder that uses for its programs in the start menu.

    Closest to you what you are looking for the solution will create a similar shortcut for the steps that precede and place it on the desktop or in an accessible place quickly to allow you to quickly access the Documents folder.

            master.Application.closeApp();
        }
        public void InfoScreen(){
            MainScreen Version = new ui.about.version();
            master.Application.changeScreen(Version);
        }
    }

    I've defined several buttons for the main Menu.

    How can I add these buttons Actions?

    I added one already to the Exit button. We work.

    My first idea was to add a method to implement the InfoScreen.

    But I get a Java error.

    Browsing through the Internet I have not found a solution.

    I took most of the developer Sources.

    But I don't know what I should do now.

    How can I declare different Actions for different buttons?

    2. question.

    I am swaping with screens with the pushScreen command.

    Is there a way to return to the previous screens?

    1 Add this as a change listener to each button.  In your fieldChanged method, mount ButtonField field, extract label and branch code according to it.

    2. pop removes the screen from the top of the stack so underneath the screen becomes visible. Stack screen blackBerry is just that - a battery.

    By the way - are you sure that you have found the font Times New Roman family?  There is no such family on BlackBerry.  Extract his name by using fof.getName () and display it in, say, Dialog.info - you might be surprised.
