Windows DVD Maker is not compatible with Windows 8?

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8, and now is not working my Windows DVD Maker. It is said that lack a codex. This application is not supported in Windows 8?

Hi KenGLove,

You need to install additional software to create discs of DVD movie ready for playback on a video DVD player.  I suggest you check the store or do a search with your favorite browser to find a.

However, you can still use Windows 8 to write data to DVD without additional software disks.

I hope this helps!

After having recently updated of my laptop for windows 10 I discovered that the dvd player does not work. A message is displayed informing that the player is not compatible with this version of windows. A scan using Norton suggests dvd will not work because it needs to be configured.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Obviously, Toshiba DVD playback application that is preinstalled on this Satellite A500 model is not compatible with the system Windows 10.

In this case this software will not properly work after the upgrade to win 10 and I guess you have to remove the system Win 10.

Unfortunately, the Satellite A500 is not listed as Win 10 portable computers and so I don't think you will get an update to this software for DVD playback.

    Hi the prey,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

You should check the settings of the computer BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) to boot from the CD/DVD. Check the manual or the support of the computer Web site for the same.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

Do a clean install of XP with the XP disk provided by Dell, if you.

If you do not have your XP disk, you can contact Dell and ask them to send you a XP disc.

    Hello

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

    This can help you:

    http://www.heidoc.NET/Joomla/technology-science/Microsoft/57-Windows-Vista-direct-download-links

You can contact Fujitsu and ask them to send you a set of Vista recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

    http://www.Fujitsu.com/SG/products/PC/support/drivers/recovery_faq.html

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • HP Mini 110-3101TU: HP Mini 110-3101TU is not compatible with Windows 10?

I've been running my HP Mini laptop in Windows 7, IE11 with an external (extended desktop) Samsung SyncMaster LS23A300BS/XP with no problems of navigation. All drivers up to date. I received a free upgrade for Windows 10 I installed online 2 weeks ago and have not been able to make a good navigation on the internet yet, either on board or IE11: both crash in browsers after a 2nd or 3rd browser, blocking and the opening page process may not be finished in Manager tasks so that Windows can not stop (you need to disconnect). I followed all the advice, corrections and common sense (clean boot) pertaining to this crash, but nothing works. On top of this crash, there is a problem with the application of Windows Explorer which can not read a statement in memory at shutdown of Windows 10 and must be closed in the first place. The last problem occurs only (I think) when working with the external montor, when I work with the laptop only I've not seen this message (can not read the instructions...) when stopped down, but blocks the navigation happens tirelessly with one or two monitors.

I played with the DNS (using automatic 8.8.8.8 etc. and DNS), I also run a PowerShell (tip forum) command and disabled non-Windows file extensions and all supplements but did not touch the registry other than adding two words for maximum 10 tabs/server. Nothing helps.

Question: My Mini laptop too old and incompatible (surfing the internet) with Windows 10 or maybe Windows 10 faulty (buggy)?

I am writing this post with my old Compac HP 8710p with the same monitor external but digital (DVI/HDMI cable) in VistaSP2 32bits Business that works like a 'charm' (pun intended). I could not even connect you to this forum with Windows (crash) 10.

Any suggestions and help would be appreciated

    Track 5 September 19:00 (GMT + 8 hrs.)

Not crashing with browsers (Edge and IE11) but still very slow and often-page response cannot be found and freeze, then after updating but I am now able to close the frozen pages (no more crashing, process in normal Task Manager). The message Windows Explorer app that it cannot read a statement in memory occurs that when my external browser is connected (2 active monitors) and does not show using my laptop just so it's probably Intel graphics driver related. I didn't know I was downloading Defender 5 updates yesterday that there is nowhere a notification in Windows, 10 with a slow (home, 2 G WIFI) internet connection may have caused some of my problems, but Microsoft has promised to look into the crash problems I brought today and I'll post the results shortly. I type this follow-up with my HP Mini and IE11, Windows 10...

    Updated: 9 September

I found three issues that I fixed and most of the problems have disappeared now, internet Windows response is still slow compared to VistaSP2 and IE9 but which can improve with W10 updated.

The last driver Synaptics touchpad from Synaptics and Windows 10 fix1 support web page: load automatically downloaded an update.

Correction 2: Downloaded Intel driver 3150 8.14.10.2230 (2010) of the web page of the HP support and ran Windows 10 compatibility check, saved results to setup.exe and then install the (older) driver on my graphics driver (2015) Intel 3150 more recent that I have downloaded from the Intel support web page but is not compatible with the HP Mini 110 series. This caused the accidents of Edge and IE11 (zoom).

Fix 3: run 2 commands (admin) NETSH: netsh winsock reset and netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt which improves the response of browsers, but after restarting the need for procedures to be repeated, if all goes well in a future update of the W10, will address this issue.

I think that my HP Mini is now compatible Windows 10
