I have a new PC of Windows 8 with all the OS updates carried out. It was not long before the loading of the page on Internet Explorer took a minute (with messages frequent that the page was not answer and I wanted to get the Web page). The same was true for the launch of Windows Explorer to browse the folders on the computer. A quick look at the Device Manager revealed that the internal memory use was about 37% always, who initially does not sound an alarm for me (but it must be, I guess!). Meanwhile, there was nothing wrong with my broadband access - Ookla was speedtesting to almost 20 Mbps. I searched the web for answers - using search terms such as "fast and slow navigation broadband ' and permutations on this subject. There were a lot of hits - a lot of people have had this problem, but there is that none of the solutions proposed who worked for one of these people who ask the question (and solutions did not work for me - a commune was ' stop using IE - use Chrome instead! ") This has no effect). Norton Internet Security, Spybot, and MalwareBytes found no problem.
Finally, I took another look at Device Manager and reinforced with all the running processes. I noticed a strange thing - a process called "Microsoft Windows Backup" was running - and it was in the list of processes about 8 times. Some iterations were using up to 20% of available memory - others used none. I went through and started to kill these processes. At first, I just couldn't do enough quickly - they would reopen not almost as soon as I closed the. Finally, with lots of quick click, I killed all and none reopened. I went back to Internet Explorer - and found blazing fast page loading. My Windows Explorer was also back to normal - I was browsing directories at a good pace.
So the question is... WHY 'Microsoft Windows Backup' ran several times in Device Manager? Is it really 'Microsoft Windows Backup' or some malware masquerading as such? And if there is a problem with a backup context process, how can I make sure it is disabled and remains disabled?
Thank you!
1 way of working!
Historical files was already off, I had several instances of "Microsoft Windows backup" processes running and one of them would be 30 or 40 percent (he jumped of a process to another).
What is the process and why did start? (or was it always ongoing enforcement & suddenly become a CPU hog?)

I looked for answers to this problem, and while some deal with similar aspects, none were completely relevant. Step by step, is what happened:
I downloaded Haali Matroska Splitter since the first result in Google, open the zipper and it ran, if I even got that far. Since that time I have been see two posts above, constantly. I turned the computer on and it persists as soon as it started. I can't access 'msconfig', or other programs that could help because apparently everything works through Windows Explorer. I'm currently looking 29 Admail without loading boxes "restart Windows" on the laptop in question, while writing this to another. Please help, as I am a complete no-hoper to a compliacted question. I would be grateful you're not assuming that I know anything about technique and describing all the solutions in a progressive manner. Thanks a lot people.
I used a system restore and everything seems OK. Wish I had known that earlier would have saved a lot of headaches.

Adding metadata to a song in the iTunes library has no effect anywhere else (as in Windows Explorer or the Groove music).
I would like to know if I have disabled this in error or if it is not guaranteed to all visitors.
Where it is not provided to customers, I would like to know how iTunes stores this metadata and whether it can be automatically sent to the library of Windows.
Thank you.
A reason of changes committed to iTunes cannot be is covered in the tip of the user, fix the iTunes for Windows security permissions but iTunes usually returns to the original data if you probably don't see this particular problem. The other possibility is of several tags.
Several tags (Mp3 files only)
The ID3 specification allows files to have several tags in different versions and languages, but iTunes does not work properly with simple tags. When multiple tags are present it can sometimes do not apply updates to the tag that reads back (probably update one of the others in the file) and it is also possible that the iPod and iTunes may have different rules for the tag that they give priority to. This could lead to situations where everything is properly organized in iTunes, but then inexplicably collapses on an iPod, or tracks that display different information in Windows Explorer or another media player. There are tags 3rd party editors that allow to manipulate several tags, but I don't have a casual recommendation. A workaround in iTunes is to use the context menu convert the ID3 Tags... > None a few times to remove all the labels, then convert ID3 Tags... > v2.3 to build a cool tag with information still held in the iTunes database. I've read in the past that iTunes is not completely compatible with the specification v2.4, although this may be the case, support is more however for v2.3 is widespread, then I would say using v2.3 to v2.4. All embedded work will be deleted so it must be replaced if wanted. For Windows users running a script named CreateFolderArt before and after the cleaning process tag should handle this.
Note that some data, for example the sides and the counties of game, is only stored in the database internal iTunes and not surrounded by tags.

In the intranet of my employer, we have many servers. When I go to manually run the programs on these, I use the hidden feature of the context menu of Windows Explorer to open a command window on the directory with the executable files (by now the SHIFT while right-clicking).
Whenever I do this, a new network map is added to the location network to the location of 'My Computer' in Windows Explorer, even if there is already one for the server (note that this is a region which is populated by clicking on "Map network drive"). At the end of the day, I'll have a dozen of them pointing to the same server (because I'm OCD close windows after I'm done with them).
And when I disconnect from these mapped network locations, they warn me that there is always using the connection, even after closing the process command prompt window.
Why Windows does that, and it's a bug or a feature?

II want to remove a program, but it tells me it is running in windows explore, how to find it and close?
Hello
I suggest to go to the Task Manager and check the box in the application tab if this application is running, if yes, then try to complete the process and then check if it helps.
Also check in the process tab:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/understanding-process-information-in-Task-Manager
It will be useful. -
Navigate through the folders in Windows Explorer became increasingly slow. Pages take 10 to 30 seconds to refresh. Again right click on an item takes a lot of time answering.
The screen of my computer, which can take up to 2 minutes to load or refresh is particularly bad.
Navigate the file system in applications such as Word and Excel (open, save) is fine and continues to operate quickly. Only Windows Explorer is affected.
This problem develops gradually in recent months. I can't put my finger on a specific event that triggered it.
What's new as of January 18, 2010:
I finally gave up and reconfigured on my computer. The problem disappeared... until I installed Windows XP Home Service Pack 3. Then she came back. So, the next day, I uninstalled SP3, and the problem disappeared again. From the foregoing, I believe that SP3 is the cause of the problem.
Some reasons for the slow pace of the computer:
1. computer has not been maintained - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Maintenance
2. the computer is infected with the malware - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware
3. the disk is too full. Remove useless stuff, uninstall unused programs. Do not forget to save!
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Backing_Up4. flaky third party software. Toolbars and modules are particularly guilty in this area. Uninstall toolbars (Google, Yahoo, ISP brand, etc) and look at what modules are in use in your browser (s).
5. computer has too many unnecessary programs/processes running in the background. Manage your Startup:

The free Autoruns program is very useful for managing your Startup - http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspxFor Vista/Windows7 - Start Orb > Search box > type: msconfig and when it appears in the results area above, right-click and choose 'run as administrator '. Autoruns is also very useful.
6. the user runs an inflated/invasive such as Norton and McAfee antivirus program. Replace it with a better program. I recommend NOD32 (commercial) or Avast (free). Avira is also good, but the free version has an unpleasant reminder screen (Google for instructions on how to disable it). The user can also run several real-time antivirus/firewall/security programs.
7. the user has installed new programs that are processor and/or memory-intensive (Photoshop, AutoCAD, Mathmatica or similar) and does not have the power of the equipment.
8 drive fails and is in PIO Mode. It's very much slow (like being in 1985). See Hans-Georg Michna here information - http://winhlp.com/?q=node/10
