You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    Hello

What do you use for security?

If you are using an Internet Security Suite, it will have its own firewall and disables the default Windows Firewall.

And you should have only one firewall to avoid problems related to the operating system.

    You have not installed SP1?

If so, try a direct download of SP2.

Hi Please help, my computer has been infected by a pretty nasty trojan, (MEREDROP) I managed to remove it (and all of its subsequent downloaded files), but it was very difficult. in any case since that my windows firewall does not start. I get the error code. 1075 and the msg (windows cannot start (ICS) internet connection sharing service). • surcurity essentials does not start, and the windows firewall does not illuminate

    Hello

I have a problem, he seems to have had a virus on my pc. Essentials of security does not illuminate and the windows firewall will not also turn on, I tried to use the tool to "fix" windows and it doesn't solve the problem.

the original virus seemed to rename its self as a program existing and renamed the oringinal by a space in the name, for example "adobearm.exe" became "adobearm .exe" there is a space before the dot.

The virus called his free adobearm.exe icon because it is a yellow / orange with a letter H, at the Center

different file name her seemed to be part of the virus included "ag7yl5x8.exe".

If you tried to close them in the task manager that they just either came back or a different file name would appear in the list.

I also couldn't do a windows update, but I think as the tool to 'fix' as cured this problem.

    Can someone help me please.

  • When I try to install itunes I get error "windows install is not enabled.

When I try to download and install itunes on my PC I get a notice that says that "windows install is not enabled...". How can I find the installer of windows and turn on? Thanx

When you try to download itunes, download is stapped with a notice saying: "windows install is not marked on" how to find the windows on my PV Installer and turn it on?

Here's a solution: go to start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services and select Windows Installer.  Double-click it to open it.  Make sure that it is set to automatic (change it if it's not).  If it is running, stop it and then restart it again.  If it is stopped, start it just.

If this does not work, try to run the Windows Installer Cleanup of http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility-Download-18442.html utility and see if that helps.  You may need to restart the service after you have done this, and you may also have to restart.

When you retry the installation, right-click on the executable installation file and click Run as administrator.  It is sometimes useful.

    I hope this helps.
