  If the problem persists after that you have already tried to uninstall and reinstall the product key and activate the phone, then you can try the following steps to rename the Software Licensing folder and check if it helps.

  a. Click Start. type cmd in start search. Right click on cmd and select run as administrator.

  b. at the command prompt, type the following commands, and press ENTER.

  c. type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you're sure, select Yes)

  d. type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing

  e. Enter: Rename tokens.bar tokens.dat

  f. type: cd %windir%\system32

  g. type: net start slsvc

  h. type: cscript slmgr.vbs - FLIR (it may take time for this will be complete, please be patient).

  i. restart your computer twice.

  You may need to perform a phone activation after choose the option change the product key and make sure that the problem.

  When trying to update Windows Media Player 11 on the MS site, I wonder to validate my version of Windows XP using the Windows Genuine Advantage that comes back and tells me that the tool itself is outdated.  I then go hunt down the latest version of the Windows Genuine Advantage tool and download it on the spot.  I try validation again, but he seeks only on the MS downloads version itself which of course, is outdated to me in an endless loop.  Not quite as definitely infinite that the MS Online Chat, but nevertheless, I always have Media Player 11 on my PC.

  What browser do you use to download and run any validation?  Even if you're a machine 64-bit by default IE 8 or 9 should be the 32-bit version.  This is the version that runs on 64-bit computers by default.  If you use this version, then the problems would disappear.

       The steps mentioned in the link are:
  1. download the updated WGA executable from this link:

  2. save the file in the C:\Temp folder.
  a. Click Start, click run, typecmdand clickok.
  b. in the command prompt, type the command following and press enter:
  PsExec-i s c:\Temp\
  3. restartthe computer for the changes to take effect.
  4. visit the windows update site and check if you are able to download the updates.

• Failed installation of Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB949810)

  After many months of Windows & Office updates there is failure of the last update, installation of Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB949810) - OGA notice 2.0.0048.0. Since of attempts by Windows updates to install OGA 2.0.0048.0 reviews all the time, but it fails with one "Installation failed" message in the error log.

  I already tried to install notice of OGA 2.0.0048.1.0 by folloing the instruction provided here:

• Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474)

  I was updating computer laptop with microsoft downloads when I didn't have the right to sue because of the opinion of the Windows Genuine Advantage - KB905474.  I was not allowed to install 118 downloads.  How to remedy this situation.  My laptop was originally used for business and shopping co. wiped clean the Vista operating system and the software and added professional XP.  I've successfully added SP3.

  You MUST use Internet Explorer for any process involving the Validation.

  You'll be rewuired first to install an ActiveX control, and in the case of wof Windows 7, Windows Activation Technologies update (if not already installed).

  Once they are properly installed, then the system should automatically refresh the page, and the continue button should implement a download button.

  Note that the use of some security software or settings may mean that the serveer is unable to work that your operating system and the browser is really - with the results that it tries to treat IE9 on Win7 as FireFox on XP - with the results you see.
