"windows has stopped working" then I just click on computer and select Properties

I don't know since when I had this problem. Sometimes when I open other folders.

Furthermore, I can't open my iTunes (except in compatibility mode). Cannot open games like stone fireplace or Football Manager now.

I tried almost all methods I can find online, but nothing works.

Can someone here help me please? Thank you.

You are welcome.

You can remove the C:\CrashDumps folder at any time.

You can leave the intact additional registry key, or you can remove it at any time if you wish.

You can run the following .reg file to delete:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows error Reporting\LocalDumps\explorer.exe]

In addition, you can rename the LinkUpExt64.old in the folder C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\HP LinkUp back to LinkUpExt64.dll

  • Explorer Windows has stopped working. Same for the Task Manager.

I have Windows Vista and have had this computer for several years.

I tried to work on something yesterday and I found that all my Office 2007 programs would be would break immediately at the opening, while they were working fine a week ago (the last time we used them).  I ran the diagnostic program came not upward with anything and then installed a bunch of windows updates I received automatically.  When the computer restarts now, I get a window in the corner that says 'Custom settings', then a window appears and says that Windows Explorer has stopped working.  I can ctrl/alt/del and open Manager tasks, but when I try to do no matter what to whom, it also stops working.  I not to download anything so I really don't think it is a virus.

I can't open programs or menus, even if I think I can get a screen of command.  I ran all the tests in the installation disc and did not get any where or the other.

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

    Mike

I can show you a workaround until Microsoft fixes their problem.

As soon as you enter the office hit

1-CTRL/ALT/DEL to get into the Task Manager
    2. click on the tab Applications (top left corner)
    3. click the new button on the task (lower right corner)
    4. in the Open box, type explore and click the Enter key
5 do step 3 and 4 once more as quickly as possible

This should stop the process of recycling the error message

After stops in the process recycling, you can leave the Task Manager and minimize the Explorer window.  Also, you should be able to leave the Task Manager and windows Explorer now.  If this is not the case, just keep the Explorer minimized window.

You should now be able to use your computer as usual.

Let me know how it works for you.  If it works well, spread the word.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

twice now that I got "Microsoft (C) registry of Windows has stopped working". Looking for online solutions, it tells me to update... and yet my Windows Update is underway. What is going on??

I am traveling and using my Android phone by Verizon to tie to the internet... This could be the cause?

Exactly when you receive this error message?

Usually, this can happen due to data execution prevention.

What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer)

You can try to add it in the exception for the prevention of execution of data and check that it works.

    a. go to Start, Control Panel and click on System.
    b. now, click on the Advanced tab, and under performance, click settings.
    c. click on Data Execution Prevention , and then select the Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: radio button.

  • Not Microsoft Windows - bar tasks or the Start button "register Microsoft windows not updated, (he is) Microsoft Windows has stopped working".

On the computer startup, there is no button or the start task bar.  window appears reading: "Registry Microsoft windows not updated, (he is) Microsoft Windows has stopped working."  I could get on the internet, but I have a blank desktop!  What should I do?  Re-stall the disc?  I have a tower HP w / Vista bought in 2008.  THX, Lizz

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    Method 1.
Let us scan SFC and check that it prevents this error to occur.
Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file.
To do this, follow these steps:
    a. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

More information on SFC scan found in this document:

    Method 2.
    a. also, you can try again user account if the problem is resolved.
    Create a user account
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account

    b. If the problem does not occur in the new account user set your user account damaged. The steps to fix the corrupt user account are given below.

  • Photo Gallery Windows has stopped working properly

When I try to use the windows laetitia Gallery, it shows a window that says "microsoft windows."  Photo Gallery Windows has stopped working properly.  then he said: it's the search for solutions, and the solution is always to update windows.  When I check my windows updates, it is said that it is up to date.  I have an automatic update.   This has happened for weeks.  I checked for solutions, installed things he told me too, etc, it continues to be every time.   I am able to use windows movie maker and media player, but it has happened with the photo gallery.

Here is a solution I found:

    (1) Control Panel > Folder Options > view > show hidden folders and files
    2) go to: [reader
Letter]: \Users\ [user] \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows photo library
    (3) delete all content (or back up if you like or at least copy to a folder separate until that you confirm the data is not lost and everything works as it should)
    (4) Photo Gallery start Windows

All files must still be there, and should remain intact, but the problem
should be resoved. It may take a minute or two to rebuild your library.

If this does not work go to start / search and type in reports on problems and Solutions, and double click on the program icon that appears.  See if he has everything related to this issue.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Receive the error "Windows has stopped working" after installing the update of security for Vista (KB977165)

I use Vista Business, I installed the update of important security for Vista (KB977165), after installing and restarting my computer, I received an error message that Windows has stopped working and then I get a black screen. I rebooted in safe mode and did a system restored. So currently I did not update.
