Windows host process error

Hello

I have a problem in my aspire 5630 Windows Vista.

The HOST PROCESS for WINDOWS Services stopped working and was closed.

A problem with the application to stop functioning properly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available.

I tried to install internet explorer 8, but could not able to and also it takes more time to launch a new window.

Grateful if someone can solve my problem.

Hello

Suspicious antivirus/antispyware/security programs.

Did you use the clean boot method to see if the same thing happens when you not load
all startup programs? If this is useful, then it is a process of elimination.

Also check with this utility when you start it again to see if there is something in the case Log help

  • Windows host process (Rundll32)

I get an Internet Explorer error security happen when I open explore. A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer. «Windows host process (Rundll32).» The Publisher is Microsoft Windows. can someone let me know what this means and why I can't get rid of this message. It does not check the box "do not show again" and he let me just click on allow or not allow.

    Hello

AFAIK Rundll32.exe is a program created by Microsoft required to run dynamic link library (DLL) files. But also spyware allows to run under the same name anti-virus programs.
I recommend the system scan using Antivirus software. If anything would be detected then you can check the box "do not show again

  • Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working

Is a general Vista problem and also a general problem of Thinkpad, but it has what I feel to be a frequency among the W500s so I thought to post it here.

In recent weeks, I got this error (Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working) several times. A lot of googleing will tell you that it can be caused by a number of things, for example other video programs, Nero burning software, video codecs and burning software and the ATI catalyst control center.

For me, uninstalling the ATI catalyst control center and the rest of the correction of the error of video card drivers. Resettlement has reduced. Uninstall them and then only by reinstalling the driver first, then check catalytic Center later after another reboot all reinstalled successfully and also got rid of the error.

However, two days ago I updated my lenovo Power Manager and after the next restart, I started getting this error again. I tried the trick with video drivers, but this time I was not so lucky. Uninstall them completely is not even get rid of the error. I think only it is the new power manager I uninstalled everything and somehow got rid of the error.

I'm about to reinstall the power manager and I hope he's not bring error.

Another thing, I found that can cause this error:

I'd just do a fresh install of vista and lenovo apps + Manager supply and everything worked. Since I never use the optical drive, I went to the Device Manager and disabled, which gave me the error Rundll32.exe about 60 seconds later, and this caused again Manager power to stop working, even after that it recharges.

I finally understand that disabling my optical drive Springs somehow this error on me which then also stops Power Manager. The optical drive from the reactivation got rid of the error immediately.

  • Windows host process Rundll32 has stopped working ONLY at startup on the desktop.

When I start my Dell Inspiron 531 after that sign in the screen will Dim twice for a few seconds then the Windows host process Rundll32 has stopped working window appears. If you close another small window exactly the same error message mentioned above tells you that Windows will look for a solution but NEVER done. I use AOL version 9.0, I can sign and the big surf for dial-up access. I tried to download free Kaspersky on their site and an error message said it was incomplete or corrupted. I have Windows Security Essentials, Stopzilla, CCleaner, Glary Utilities, you run sfc/scannow, it cleaned up a few files and he tells me that he has no integrity problem after 4 scans. The big short PC but what the _ is causing this Rundll32 error and why is there NO information specific on how to solve this problem? Also Internet Explorer cascades tiles and diverts the PC sometimes force a quick stop, it's really weird to see, very rare but happens. Systerac Fix of Windows crashes after starting an analysis on current user files, really strange, as if something is trying to stop him on purpose. I wish that Microsoft would really worry about the Rundll32 error of work ceased and tell us customers how to fix this shit it is very boring I'll tell you. I want that my host process Rundll32 to work as it did for the past 2 years with no error message at startup. He never gives me these messages while I use the Internet. There are many pages of misinformation out there, can some Microsoft Engineer please give me that a definitive answer in particular to the Windows host process Rundll32 has ceased to function the error at startup ONLY and tell me how to fix Rundll32 file or the process, it would be greatly appreciated? Thank you. Woman

If this is the case and is safe to accept the change, then this is good. However, I would like to be sure that it is not a piece of Malware, be smart and try to emulate the Windows genuine process.

  • SE error windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working on Windows Vista

Need help fixing this problem microsoft windows popup message, process host windows (Rundll32) has stopped working.

    Hello

    1. When you get this error message?
    2. were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists, if the question does not persist then perform the clean boot and check if the problem resolves.

Step 1: safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.
     http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts

Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

    Hope this information helps.
